Ava walked down the hall of the Fairway Hotel pushing her cart before her. It was getting late, and as usual, she was finished with her rooms, and was just finishing the last of her laundry duties. She tucked stray pieces of long blonde hair back behind her ear as she walked and turned into the laundry room.
She moved towards the nearest dryer that had just finished its load and began to fold the contents neatly and stack them in her cart. Towels, washcloths, hand towels; all the same sort of thing that she saw everyday. Nothing special. Ava caught sight of a the mirror on the wall and gave it a glance as she held out a large towel to be folded. Though she had been here most of the day and wasn't in the most revealing of clothes, she smirked at her pretty reflection anyway. Her hair was a variety of shades of blonde and her light blue eyes sparkled like aquamarines in the bright light.
As she continued to fold the towels, she had already devised her nightly plans. She had no intention of going home... as was becoming a common practice for her. She knew which rooms were closed to customers at which times so she always knew which one to crash. It made it easy to avoid her bitch of a roommate back at the apartment. She would have another relaxing evening, a few smokes, maybe some alcohol and a late night movie... it had been a long day after all.
Once she finished with the clothes, she put the cart away. Only one part of her evening shift remained. Taking out the trash from the laundry room. Taking two black garbage bags, she strolled down the long hallway again and exited through the alley door. The night air was chilly and she shivered as she crossed through the darkness over to where the dumpster was. There was no back light out here, management had been slow to replace it, but she was so used to the pitch darkness that it hardly bothered her anymore. She had left the door propped open, just so that she would be able to get back in and make a sneaky slip to room 214; her getaway for the next couple of nights.
