The sun was shining and it seemed to be a wonderful day. The country of Emmeria had seen no problems even after the Ulysses 1994XF04 Asteroid. To the people on the Emmerian side all they had seen was shooting stars as it passed over them and landed in the neighboring country of Estovokia. They had gotten it much worse with a high death toll, their government collapsing and falling to a military government. Had the Emmerian government aided the creation of the Stonehenge project then perhaps things might of turned out differently.

Back In Gracemeria the day seemed like any other day, good weather forecasted for the day and nothing seemed to be of any trouble to a small little farm outside the city limits of Gracemeria. Suddenly rockets flew over head before dissapearing over the horizon where the city would be after a few minutes someone had come out side shouting. "The Bridge, They took out King's Bridge!" It wasn't long until tanks and troop carriers started to roll down the road. Toscha got out of the jeep and looked around as he checked his rifle. "Spread out, get those people back inside." The other soldiers nodded and started to crowd the people back into their houses. Toscha nodded and laughed abit. "Soon Gracemeria will be ours."

Saturday, now there was a day that could never be ignored. A day where you didn't have people bickering at you and no work to do. Just laze about and enjoy the day as it slowly went by. Plus the fact that it had now become summer only made this Saturday even better. In the Leto's darkened room the soft sounds of dog's feet were softly heard plotting on the floor before jumping into his master's bed and licking Leto on the face. "All right all right im up, gah!" He sighed and yawned and stretched before sitting up and throwing the blankets off of him and onto the bed. "All right Shadow lets get you some food." He smiled and ran his hands over the husky's muzzle and pulled on his p.j pants and a white tee-shirt. Leto knew he had to get up and at least start the days chores, feed the animals and then he could relax.

"Good to see you're up," Nikki nodded to her brother. "I've got some breakfast for you. Eggs, bacon, and french toast." She gestured towards the table. "Sorry - if I'd gotten up a little earlier, I might've been able to get some pancakes in... I'll save them for when you get back so Ellie doesn't eat them all." She turned back to the stove, leaving the two to it. As per usual, Shadow's bowl of food was in the kitchen and was heaping with the bits of dry dog food that had all the vitamins he was supposed to need. Under that, though, was some bacon bits and a couple of pieces of last night's ham.

"Any idea when you'll be back? Depending on when it is, you might actually have a pretty good shot at pancakes. Ellie's probably going to sleep in again." That wasn't too unusual. Being the youngest, Ellie was the least burdened. In the absence of their mother, she herself had taken on the role, working as hostess when they had guests, cook, cleaner, and pretty much was the driving force when they had projects around the year... Candles at butchering time, cheese towards the spring or summer, depending on the harvest and the cows.

Toscha looked at the road map then to his driver. "Up there along the hill, a small house, Lets go and see just who is living up there. The soldiers nodded and some got back into their jeep. Toscha got back in and they drove up the road. He checked his watch for a second before sitting back and enjoying the ride noticing the people mostly obeying orders from the Estovokian soldiers. The Jeep pulled up and the soldiers got out. He made a motion with his hand for his soldiers to wait outside. Some of them looked at Toscha while others walked around the house. Toscha waited outside and watched his soldiers. He turned down his radio for a second as it was starting to bother him. He walked up to the door and knocked on it. It was true that the enmy was on their front doorstep.

Leto then thought about it for a second and looked at Shadow. "Oh sorry boy come on lets let you go out back for morning bathroom. Sorry boy." He laughed and grabbed his shoes and slipped them on and headed to the back yard and let Shadow go and head out" Once shadow was done with his morning bathroom break he trotted back over to Leto and barked. Leto laughed and just patted him on the head. "Well time for breakfast so go lay down." He walked back through the sliding glass door and to the living room and sat down watching the news as he always did. He stopped when he heard the knocking on the door. "Wonder who that could be

"I'll get it," Nikki called. "Why don't you go and wake Ellie? It's about time she actually gets out of bed to eat something. I swear, that girl..." Nikki shook her head. As she watched Leto's receding back, she moved to answer the door. Admittedly, she took a moment to wipe her hands on her apron - they were covered in flour because she'd been kneading the dough for a rather flavorful cake.

Still, upon getting to the door, she opened it with a smile - one that quickly faded when she realized their visitors were soldiers. Although she'd started off with a cheerful, "Hello!" her voice was now wary and her eyes narrowed as she moved to close the door a bit so it wasn't wide open.

"Can I help you?"

Toscha walked in and was followed by a few soldiers who said something in a different language. Toscha nodded and they moved around the house. "As you can tell Sir as of right now your government is no more and ours is in control of this country. Now our soldiers will be here for some time and I was wondering if I could set up my and my men's camp here on this nice farm land." Toscha looked at Nikki over before going on. "It would be a welcomed change instead of some barracks to enjoy a nice relaxing spot right here. So now if you wouldn't mind bringing your family down and telling them as well."

Leto nodded and headed down the hall and slowly crept into Ellie's room and walked over to her bed before gently shaking her. "Ellie it's time to get up and get some breakfast before chores." He looked at her and smiled then walked over to the windows and pulled open the curtains to let in some light to the room. "Now get up and get dressed and come down to the living room to get some breakfast that Nikki made for us. hurry up now."

"What's going on?" Nikki demanded, stepping in front of the man that had started the invasion of their home. "Are you trying to say that just because your government is stronger than ours that it's okay to march on into our home and do whatever you want?!" This was an outrage - hell, Nikki was outraged. This was their home. The only thing they had left that even potentially connected them to their parents. They'd lived and worked and cried and laughed here for so long now, it was almost impossible to consider giving it up like that. "You're not kicking us out!" Gradually, her voice had risen in volume and now it was audible upstairs.

"Leto...?" Ellie rubbed her eyes, still half-asleep. She'd stayed up late reading again... "Why is Nikki yelling?" When she heard the part about kicking them out, though, Ellie sat upright immediately. "What?! We're losing the house?!" She began gathering clothes in the room to put on, not even concerned with her modesty because the only person there was her brother. "Why? We've had it forever! We paid off the debts, didn't we? What's going on?"

Leto had heard Nikki Yelling and told Ellie to stay where she was before heading downstairs to see the argument. Toscha looked at Leto and held his rifle before shouting at him in Estovokian, knowing full well that some Emmerian farmer boy wouldn't know what he was saying. He then looked at his 2nd in Command Iliya who was leaning against the wall of the house. "I say for her arrogance, we take what we want and then burn the place down." Leto walked over "Please No, its my home and my family's livelihood, just please take what you want but leave this farm alone we need it to survive." The soldiers murmured amongst themselves. Toscha nodded. "I think you make a good bargain and we will take everything we want." He then walked over to Nikki and grinned walking behind her and grabbing her. "Including you." Leto tried to get up and protest but Iliya quickly drew his pistol and aimed at him. Toscha grinned and started to pull Nikki to one of the rooms. "Now come along."

Nikki had glared hotly at the soldiers - particularly their leader - the whole time. Yet, when they'd started speaking to each other, she'd suddenly grown wary. It was as though there were panic signals in her head telling her to get the hell out of there. As it was, she didn't allow herself to grow too suspicious until her brother begged for their mercy. Just what the hell were they thinking?! Then that wretched leader had agreed to it and grabbed her from behind, immediately causing her to cry out as loudly as she could. "ELLIE! GET OUT OF HERE! TAKE PHILLIPE AND RUN!" She didn't know what was going to happen to them, but she had to at least try to spare her sister of the fate... Especially since these soldiers had Leto and herself... And she was well aware that her sister had found a way down from their second floor window.

"JUST KEEP RUNNING AND DO--"

It was all that Ellie, upstairs, would hear. The younger girl was trembling in fear, unsure of what was going on. All she knew was that her older sister was asking her to leave everything behind, and that wasn't something Nikki would do without a good reason. It was with that in mind that Ellie opened the window and climbed out onto the roof. Looking all around the house, though, she saw that it didn't matter. The soldiers were everywhere. The entire house had been surrounded, and she could see a few out in the fields.

Toscha grabbed Nikki and dragged her to the living room before forcing her to her knees and tying her hands behind her then the rope around her so that she wouldn't be able to move or get out of it. He then took a white cloth and shoved it into her mouth as a gag. "You should of just cooperated, it wouldnt have to be this way." Toscha then looked at Iliya who nodded and headed upstairs and into Ellie's room. He saw her by the window and as she climbed out he grabbed her from behind and pulled her back in. "You shouldn't be up on the roof, you could get hurt." He pretty much dragged her downstairs and saw her brother sitting and tied to a chair. "Hmm this will have to do."

He pushed Ellie onto Leto's Lap and tied her to the point of her pressing against Leto and tied to the chair and him so that she couldn't get off or away. Toscha nodded and told some of his soldiers to come in and fortify the house. "Now how are we going to punish you all for your arrogance and disobedience?"

Nikki paled at the thought of what could happen to her siblings because of her actions. "Mmmph!" She was shaking her head violently. "Mmph! Mmmmmph!" She doubted they would listen to her, but she had to try. The message she was trying so hard to impart was essentially a plea of guilty. It was she who had picked the fight, not them... And none of them had been arrogant. Or disobedient, for that matter. Just loud and annoying, and that was a whole different can of worms.

Ellie, meanwhile, was very confused and very uncomfortable. "Um... excuse me, what's going on...?" She didn't know how her brother felt about it, but she wasn't too confident on how much she weighed... There was little to no doubt that it was making Leto at least a little uncomfortable.
