Spring had arrived early, and its warm breezes and light showers were clearly expressed in the attire of the city. People everywhere wore shorts and t-shirts, but they were sure to have an umbrella on hand at all times, fearing the frequent and spastic rain showers. Natalia stepped out of her work building, the Law firm of Talki & Monroe, its door slammed shut behind her and she frowned. "I told him to get that fixed..." she muttered with an angry rush of emotion. She was a secretary and her days were spent answering phones, filing paperwork, making coffee, and dealing with crazy people. It became tiring after awhile, but the money was worth it. Talki & Monroe were the two best lawyers in the area, and it was shown with the paycheck that Natalia got every two weeks.
She had to keep up a pristine appearance and work however, so she had to make sure some of her paycheck went to clothing and make-up. Her hair was a perfect mix of honey blond and medium brown, while her bright blue eyes often reminded people of the tropical seas. She had fair skin, which in the Spring and Summer took on a beautiful sun-kissed appearance. Natalia enjoyed getting dressed up for work, she wore a knee-length dark purple dress which was fitted in the torso and then flared out lightly from the waist down. A top her dress she wore a black cardigan, and then her feet were adorned in black heels. Her make-up was light, with gentle purples and light pink cheeks.
With the work day over Natalia had her purse on her shoulder and was finally headed out. The warm breeze felt comforting against her skin as she let her heels tap lightly across the sidewalk. She enjoyed the night time, it always held a special spot in her heart. The darkness and shadows were mysterious to her, and she liked to be around them, always unsure as to what was inside them.
"Time for a nice little walk..." she mused with a small smile. She wasn't headed anywhere in particular, just around the city. She made a few turns through alleyways, just her usual and felt the odd sensation that she was being watched. This was nothing new, she always felt like she was being watched as she slipped through the alleys. It didn't really bother, not until now. A sound rang from the shadows and Natalia jumped out of fright. "W-what!" she turned, her dress spinning up in a little flare. She looked down and saw a can had fallen and landed a few feet from her. Her brow raised as she looked around. There were no people around, so where did the can come from?
Natalia tried to shrug off the event as she left the alley. Perhaps there was someone following her? Perhaps more then one?
