Ronnie James Dio, one of our forefathers of metal, died today. Age 67, died of stomach cancer. Some of my best memories from childhood were listening to old Sabbath and Dio tapes with my father. He gave us alot of amazing music, and even the hand sign we use to salute metal. If this is the wrong place for this thread, i apologize. But for all those out there that love this man, take a shot, take a cheer, and crank up some Dio. We salute you.

Me too. The best memories i have from childhood was listening to Holy Diver and Dream Evil. He helped shape metal and make it a legit genre of music. As long as metal lives on, Dio shall as well.

You read my mind MBF. I was going to do this.

I just watched an interview where Dee Snider and Alice Cooper spoke about him. He was a legend and an idol to the LEGENDS! Rock on, Dio. \m/ rock on.

Hahaha, lace. You and i seem to share alot in common, then.

And, I'm sure Dio now provides the battle music in Valhalla! Hails, horns, and respect for the fallen god of metal.

I listened to Dio all day the day he died. And, i'm sure he now provides battle music for the Einherjar in Valhalla.
