“Alright, you have ten seconds to get where you need to be then I’m coming whether you like it or not.” Her friends smirked at her but didn’t move until she closed her eyes to start counting. They were on the front lawn of the school, bored as hell, so when someone suggested they play freeze tag no one had any complaints. As Danielle called out the numbers she couldn’t help but think this was going to be an easy one. Going hiking with her parents over the summer had done wonders on her physique. The brunette had slimmed down to a nice size. Her legs toned to perfection and her stomach was almost just as perfect. The sad thing with Dani was that… well she was lazy.
She did really care about appearances as long as she could fit into her favorite jeans. Only then did she hit the gym. She was lucky that she had the metabolism of her father otherwise there was no telling what she’d look like. “Ten! Get ready!” Dani opened her eyes and quickly scanned the quad. There were other students on the lawn but she could easily tell which ones were her friends and quickly saw who was the closest, running towards them without a thought. It took her a couple of minutes and some double taps for a few persistent people but she eventually got every person…save one. Dani’s legs were starting to hurt and her lungs with in full drive but she didn’t like to back down from a challenge. When Abby began running, she took off full force, her hair finally coming loose from the ponytail she’s made earlier.
Dani’s friend was probably the only one who could run just as fast and it showed. She knew that she didn’t have long so with a last burst of energy she pumped her legs as far as they would go and reached out to her friend’s back, triumph in her green eyes before she realized that her leaning had become her falling. She hit the ground with a muted thud, the air being completely knocked out of her and laid there for a while. “Oh shit, are you okay Dani?” Far be it from Abby to show actual concern, she could barely keep the amusement from her voice. “Just peachy.” She rolled onto her back and looked up at the sky trying to catch her breath. Her tank top and shorts where a mess but, it didn’t matter as long as she got everyone. “Next time I’m not it.”
