It lay there in the grass, on the hill. The spherical ball was palmsized, glistening, almost glowing. It was dark, the cold night air dropping the dew that would alight by morning. But, tonight, for whatever reason, there was a strange new visitor just outside the woman's dorms of this private school. The woods were unnaturally lit, as if the stars themselves glowed too mercifully upon the patrons below it. The cool night air wafted sinfully with the strange fresh breeze of a salty night's air. The sphere itself pulsed, a whitish silvery glow, almost emerging from the seams of its clear metallic surface. The sphere was composed of two halves, joined down the middle, with a strange circle midway upon the seam. A light flashed from the orb, only to subside. The crickets again chirped, and everything seemed to return to normal.
