Brown hair fell down the back of a slim figure, ending at the mid-back, its curls were tousled and amiss. Milky white skin shone in the moonlight as the slender figure walked across the street. Seraphine's green eyes were a strong contrast against there rest of her body, they were so clear and bright. Her body was adorned in a pair of jeans, black heels, and a v-neck white shirt, its sleeves covering her arms. Since arriving on Earth with the humans, she was really beginning to like their clothes and styles, it was a nice change from her constant silky dresses.

By day Seraphine was a secretary for an Accounting firm, by night she was a guardian of the humans. She made sure that they didn't get themselves mixed up in things they shouldn't, and also helped the few that were losing their way in life. She didn't always enjoy that part of her life, for she'd always had a dislike for humans. In Seraphine's mind they didn't deserve her love, or her mercy. Nonetheless, she hoped to get back to the skies one day, and so she helped the humans as she was ordered to.

The air was cool as it breezed past her, spring was coming earlier, and on some nights the weather stayed a nice temperature, decent for walks and late-night shopping. One thing Seraphine hadn't gotten used to was the attention she received from the humans. She was the shining pillar in the darkness of their lives, and so they all tried to watch her, be her, talk to her. Luckily, nobody was flocking her on this particular night.

A gentle smile slipped upon her lips as she stepped inside of the Coffee and Tea shop she'd be walking towards. She hated coffee, but she loved Chai tea, and a raspberry scone. A few men and women occupied the little shop and so Seraphine grabbed her scone and ordered her tea. Her eyes scanned the room for any humans that perhaps needed a friendly face to talk to.

Seraphine's eyes continued to scan the room until they landed upon a particular male. He seemed to have a dark aura surrounding him, and looking at his appearance she could only guess why. She took a deep breath and then let her legs gracefully move her towards him. She saw he was sitting in a booth, alone so she merely sat in the booth across from him. She didn't say anything at first, just sat down and placed her scone and tea atop the table. After a moment of silence she smiled at the man. "Hello...I saw you alone...I thought I'd come over..." she laughed softly to herself,"I do hope you don't mind..." she tilted her head slightly to the side, her brown hair falling to the side as her eyes watched the man closely.

"I'm Seraphina, but you can call me Seraphine..." she introduced herself. With a gentle flick of her wrist she pushed the scone into the center of the table. "Help yourself to that..I'm not very hungry...Not sure why I bought it..." she rubbed the back of her next with another laugh. "Can I ask your name?"

Seraphine smiled and then laughed,"Anthony, I've always liked that name..." she made a gentle shrug of her shoulders and then picked up her tea, sipping at it slowly. Her eyes carefully looked at Anthony, he seemed homeless, upset, the aura she was reading from it was less then good. She wondered how he got into his state. "I also noticed..." she paused, not wanting to insult him,"I noticed you seem...depressed...I apologize if I'm just making assumptions...but I hate seeing people upset..." she smiled a little,"I was wondering if you wanted to talk to me...I'm a wonderful listener..."

She continued to sip at her tea quietly as she waited to see if he would open up to her or not. Seraphine also thought in the back of her head how she could help him, she knew he was homeless, that was obvious enough, but how she could give him shelter was a whole other issue. She pondered the thoughts subconsciously. Seraphine ran a hand through her hair and then looked at Anthony, her whole persona screamed 'kind', 'welcoming', and 'trustworthy'. All he had to do was open up.

Seraphine looked taken aback at his words. "Uuh...I don't know any Gregs.." she laughed softly and then she almost choked on her tea at the suggestion that she was a prostitute. "w-what!" she gaped at him and then cleared her throat,"I assure you Anthony that I am not a prostitute or after you for money..." she smiled. "Is that it? You're in debt?" she asked softly, her voice holding warmth. "Tell me...I think I can help you...if you let me.." she offered.

Seraphine reached across the table, lightly taking Anthony's hand. "I'm not gonna betray your trust..." she assured him. She pulled her hand away and returned to her tea, she'd have to get another, and maybe buy a few scones for Anthony to eat. The poor man seemed to really enjoy them.

She grinned,"I'm a sweet little angel, I assure you," she winked and then laughed quietly. "Now...do you have a job?" she asked with a curious glint in her eyes. "And what about home? Do you have somewhere you're staying?" she questioned. She needed to dig as much out of him as she could, anything that could help her get ideas on how to help him. She was flattered at how he'd complimented her for being sweet. He was human, and he wasn't as obnoxious as others she'd met. He knew he was in trouble, and she respected that he wasn't oblivious to it.

"When was the last time you got a good meal?" she asked, her brow raised with a small smile. "Because I know that most wonderful place I could take you!"

"I think I can arrange some scones..and something warm to drink..." she smiled and stood up. "Come on- You're coming to my house for dinner.." she stated. She motioned that she'd be right back, and so she moved up to the register and quickly had the ladies package her a half dozen scones, all raspberry. Once she returned she slipped her credit card back into her pocket. She held the white box in her hands and then smiled. "I got us some scones for a snack...perhaps with some coffee, tea, or cocoa...I've got all three..." she laughed. "I like my warm drinks!" she giggled softly at her own foolishness.

"Oh...and I'm not taking a no for dinner, you'll be coming even if I have to drag you..." she nodded sternly. "Come on...I live about ten minutes away...Won't take us long..."

The streets were full of people, everyone having fun with friends and family. Seraphine thought sadly back on her own days like that. She didn't wander the streets with them, but she at least was with her family, now she was banished to a world where there were little of her own kind. Since arriving in the city she'd yet to come in contact with any of her angelic brethern. She perked up though, tonight she was helping someone, she was doing her duty as a Guardian. "Now...I don't know what you like...I've got spagetti, salad stuff, I could make some chicken, or I've got salmon..." she frowned. "Anything there you like? If not we can stop at the market and pick up something else..."

She looked at Anthony with a curious smile,"And I hope you like chocolate cake, I bought I wonderful fudge cake yesterday, I haven't tasted it yet...but it looks amazing!!!"

Seraphine hesitated when she saw his hand, but then smiled and took it with her own. "Then its spagetti with a side salad! I think I've got bread...I can make some nice toasty bread!" she was getting bit excited. She normally dreaded having to help the humans around her, but with Anthony it was different. He really seemed to welcome the help, while others denied needing help and were mean to her. He seemed like he deserved the help she was offering. "Oh..yes...I do like my sweets...It's odd I can keep such a good body," she teased as she did a little wiggle of her hips. She laughed at herself and then pulled Anthony to a stop. She looked up at the building, she had a condo on the top floor, it wasn't fancy or anything, but it was a nice place to live.

"Alright..let's go..." she pulled him gently into the building where she led him into the elevator and pressed the floor twelve button, it was a twelve story building, and with her condo she got a lovely view on her balcony. Twelve stories was nothing for New York City, but she still had a nice view nonetheless.

Once at the door, Seraphine pulled out a key and slid it into the lock, after a click she pushed the door open and walked in, pulling Anthony in behind her. She closed the door as he entered and then looked about her home. They stood in a small parlor, where she had one cushioned chair, a few umbrellas and a coat hanger. After leaving the parlor there was a large space which was occupied by a kitchen and living room. The two were conjoined to make it easier to cook for company, not that she ever had company. The kitchen was all dark oak and marble, while the living room had a white sofa and several white armchairs with black throw pillows. There was a black coffee table in the middle of all the seating and then on the far back wall was a television. It was flat screen and attached to the wall itself. There was a fireplace beneath the television and then there were double doors leading onto her balcony. She had a black iron table and chair sitting on her balcony which she normally ate at. In the kitchen she had a bar area to sit at, the seating was on the side of the counter where the living room was arranged. Other then those areas, the condo also had a guest bathroom, with a guest bedroom, and her master bedroom.

"Here it is...home sweet home..." she laughed quietly. "Make yourself comfortable...I'm going to go grab something..."

Seraphine entered her bedroom and searched around. In her adventures with human style she had come to discover woman liked to wear men's clothing to bed, or to laze around in. She tried it and liked it so she had a good bit of male clothing. Mostly just sweatpants and button up shirts, but they were very big so she figured they'd fit Anthony. He deserved something clean and comfortable to wear. So Seraphine grabbed pair of XL black sweatpants and a XL white button up, long sleeve shirt. Then she skidded back out to the living room. "I figured you might want something more comfortable to wear...I bought these to just laze around in...they actually might be big on you because I got them pretty large.." she laughed as she walked over to Anthony with them.

"If you follow that hallway there is a guest room on your left...There's also a bathroom attached...You're welcome to change and shower while I make dinner." she smiled. She knew a warm shower always made her feel better. The guest room was nice, it had a queen size bed with a white comforter and red pillows. That room in general was all a mixture of red and white, the floor was a soft plush red carpet, and when in the guest bathroom, a more asian style was adopted. Still full of reds and whites, but the bathroom had cherry blossoms painted along the walls. The towels were red, and the marble counter was white. She smiled, she did hope that Anthony liked her home. She'd seen much better in her excursions around town, but this was just what was given to her when she was sent to Earth.

Seraphine smiled as she watched Anthony walk away and into the guest area, then she walked into the kitchen. She grabbed some pasta and ground beef from the cabinets and the fridge. After preparing a pot and setting the pasta to cook she began to cook through the meat, stirring it and cutting it up with a wooden spoon. The meat needed to simmer so she walked towards the guest room to see how Anthony was doing, she also need to ask him if he liked Italian dressing, for that was all she had at the moment. As she went into the guest bedroom she heard the shower running. She got closer to the bathroom and then saw the door wasn't completely closes. She nervously yelled in through the crack. "Hey- Anthony...Do you like Italian dressing for your salad? I don't have anything else...Though I do have some balsamic vinegar and olive oil if you'd like that...."

She awaited his response as she tried not to look into the bathroom.

Seraphine had quickly rushed back to the kitchen to give Anthony his privacy. A salad was prepared and set on two plates atop the bar seating, dressed had been tossed with the salad. Two wine glasses and regular glasses were set next to the salads. The pasta was done and she was straining it as Anthony came into the room. "Ahh, Anthony-" she turned to look at him and almost dropped the pasta. "Oh! You look so much different..." she spoke before she could stop herself. She blinked a few times, wondering if he'd disappear before her very eyes. "Well- You look nice..." she smiled. "I made your salad....go ahead and have some...I also have white wine, and red wine....Then for a regular drink I have coke, sprite, water, and some cider." she put the pasta in a bowl and then turned back to the meat, it'd been cooked and sitting on the stove. She grabbed some tomato sauce and mixed it up with the meat. "Turns out I don't have bread.." she sighed sadly as she grabbed some cheese from the fridge.

After she heated up the meat and sauce she poured it over the pasta and mixed it up. She topped it with some shaved cheese and then brought it to the eating area. She placed two more plates next to the spagetti and then moved to pour herself some red wine.

Seraphine smiled and poured some wine in Anthonys wine glass, then she began on her salad. "So...Let's see...I'm very interested in getting you back on your feet Anthony.." she nodded to herself as she grabbed a bite of salad and chewed it, she washed it down with a sip of wine. The only thing she disliked about alcohol was that because of her Angel heritage she tended to get tipsy much faster then a normal person. The alcohol really just went right into her bloodstream, but she'd be careful when she had a guest. There was nothing for her to worry about.

"So...First things first...You need a job..." she smiled. Then a thought hit her, the firm, she could ask her boss Doug if Anthony could come work for them, he could take her job and she could ask for a move up on the line up. She noted to herself to make the phone call after dinner. "Then...we'll have to see about some living arrangements for you, I'd hate to see you on the streets...It's not a place for a handsome man like yourself."

Seraphine thought quietly about what she could say about why she was helping him. "I..I just really like helping people...I think it's only right we do unto others as we want them to do unto ourselves...So..if I was ever in your situation..I'd want someone like me to help me out..." she smiled, sipping more wine. "I cannot stand to see someone in need..." she nodded slightly and slowly finished up her salad. She was comfortable talking to Anthony, but she knew she couldn't get carried away with what she said, there were some things that he just couldn't know about.

"I'm going to call up my boss when we finish up...I think I can get you a job...Can you file paperwork? Use a computer and use a phone?" she said with a small grin.

Seraphine finished her glass of wine and poured another cup, she then put some pasta on her plate. She twirled it with her fork and then popped it in her mouth. "I adore pasta! Pasta and sweets..."she laughed,"I'm suprised I haven't tried pasta with chocolate sauce and M&Ms..." she made a weird face at the combo and then laughed again. "What about you? What is your favorite food? Favorite past-time? I'd like to get to know you as a person, Anthony..." she smiled.

She felt as if she'd be working with him closely for awhile, and so she figured she needed to get to know him, inside and out. So far he seemed like a very good man who'd fallen into the wrong habits. Though she actually didn't know how he'd gotten so far into debt, she figured she'd find out in time.

She smiled. "Steak...Mm. I'll have to make that next time..I've got this wonderful recipe for French Onion Steak...Oh its tastey..." she smiled and ate her pasta quietly for a moment. She continued sipping her wine, and eating her food quietly until she smiled. "I don't think its a bad thing you don't have pastimes...I..I don't really have too many...At least not any that I remember very well..." she smiled a very small smile.

She sighed and stood up, she went to grab the white wine, she loved white wine, but had forgotten to bring it over. She moved slowly and then brought it back, opening the bottle and setting it next to the red wine bottle. "So...if you don't mind...How did you get so far into debt, Anthony..." she spoke in a soft, and curious tone.

Seraphine nodded as she listened. She'd realized that there were a lot of humans with gambling problems. "Oh Anthony...Well we are just going to have to get you away from those people...How much debt do you still owe? I'm assuming since you thought I was sent by some Greg man...that people are searching for you...to get money?" she asked curiously. Then a smile lit her features,"And...we can deal with yoru gambling..." she nodded.

After a few moments she looked at Anthony,"How about...you stay here. You can live in my guest bedroom while we get you back on your feet. Since I think I can get you a job with my firm, we can go to work together...and I'll also be able to watch you and keep you from gambling away the money you earn..." she spoke quietly. She'd never offered her home up while helping any humans, so this was a first. She was slightly nervous about it, but if anything happened she'd be able to take care of herself. "Tell me about these people....that you owe money too...Cause if they're dangerous..." she looked at him with a raised brow.

Seraphine frowned,"Perhaps if I arranged a meeting with them, I could discuss a proper pay out...and we can get you out of their targeted vision..." she finished off another glass of wine and then finished up her pasta. "We'll need to get you some clothes that fit you as well...Perhaps we'll do that tomorrow..." she suggested with a smile. Seraphine stood from her stool and gathered the empty plates, leaving Anthonys pasta plate in case he wanted to continue eating. She crossed the space to set the dishes in the sink and then moved to pour some more wine in both her cup and Anthonys.

"I'm pretty good at dealing with bad people..." she laughed lightly and swayed back over to the stool where she sat and waited for Anthony to be finished with his food, for then she'd get the cake out. After cake she planned on relaxing before making tea and eating scones. "Don't worry...you're in good hands now Anthony..I promise..."

Seraphine sighed, leaning comfortably against the bar top. "I do hope you're enjoying the food..."she smiled as she sipped her wine slowly. "Once you're done we can try that tasty cake I bought!" she smiled. She swished her glass a bit, watching the liquid splash from side to side inside the confines of the glass. She glanced up at the time it was roughly nine at night, still relatively early. She liked spending time with Anthony, even though she'd just met him, she felt like he was worth the time she was spending with him.

She laughed suddenly. "What is your favorite animal!" she asked suddenly.

She was feeling very comfortable, whether that as because of the wine in her system, or the fact that Anthony was nice to talk to, she didn't know. She finished another glass of wine and then looked at Anthony's plate,"Are you ready for cake?" her voice was gentle, but held an edge of excitement. She stood from her stool once more and headed to the fridge to find the white box with the cake in it. She grabbed two small plates and cut slices of cake. After grabbing forks she brought the plates to the bar area and set them down. Once Anthony was finished eating his fill of pasta he could start on his cake. She however began on her cake right away. She pulled her legs up so she sat 'indian style' atop the stool.

"I love wolves...and Tigers..." she laughed quietly. "So pretty..."

"I apologize...I do like wine...but I can get carried away..." she laughed at herself and then took a bite of her cake. "Yummm!" she made a pleased face and then took another bite of cake with a sip of wine. "Don't mind me if I get a little wooohooo!" she made a motion with her finger. Seraphine giggled at herself and then grabbed a napkin to wipe away some stray chocolate.

OOC: I'm jumping off for a few minutes, but I'll be right back =]

She grinned and then lightly prodded Anthony with her finger, "I can get a little loose, but only if you promise not to try anything.." she teased him with another laugh. She was kidding of course, but it was fun to play around with him. "OH!" she exclaimed as she pulled out her cellular phone. She dialed a number quickly and then giggled as she waited for someone to pick up. "He-Hey! Doug, it's me Seraphina...I was wondering. You know how you offered me that position? I have someone who can take over my job...Yeah..Uhuh...Okay..Thanks..." after a few more minutes she said goodbye and hung up the phone. "That was easier then I thought it would be..." she smiled.

"You've got a job...making $11.85 an hour.." she clapped her hands and then downed her wine. "Congrats Anthony!!"

Seraphine was suprised as he got up and hugged her, the peck on her cheek was even more of a suprise but she smiled, leaning against him until he moved away from her. She looked warmly at him and smiled. "Oh Anthony...It was a pleasure to help you, besides..Now I have a roommate.." she giggled,"I was getting a bit lonley up here all by myself..." she shrugged her shoulders,"Oh and I 'm sure you weren't trying ANYTHINGGGG..." she taunted with a grin. She winked at the man and poured another glass of wine, then filling his up to the top. "Time to celebrate!!"

She smiled and reached across the bar to grab a small remote. When she pressed a red button music played quietly in the background. It was a mix cd, so it had classical, which played first, pop, rap, and even some rock. She hummed along with the classical music and laughed quietly. "So, you won't start tomorrow...cause well...tomorrow is Saturday!" she nodded," You'll begin Monday and work doesn't begin until 10am...So you'll get plenty of sleep. Tomorrow we will go buy you some clothes for work and just to lounge in...you can't wear my clothes forever!" she teased Anthony with a light smile.

She stood from the stool and took her plate to the sink. She was currently full, and anything else would certaintly make her sick. "Is there anything you'd like to change about your room? If it's too feminine then we can do something...change the bedspread or something..."

"Yes, we can party and drink every night!" she giggled, "No because then we'd both become alcoholics and then we'd both be on the streets..." she smiled slightly at the end of her sentence. Seraphine continued to sip her wine and continued to sit 'indian style' atop her stool. "SO...anything I should know about my new roomie? Any family? Any past wives or girlfriends that might show up and try to murder me?" she teased with a grin.
