The poker night was a weekly tradition between the three men, they had gone to the same fire house after graduation within a few years of each other. For years they had been coming together to play cards, others came and went from the group but for nearly a decade this had been a tradition between the men. Another tradition of course was how they teased Becky's father about how hot his little daughter was becoming, joking that they were both counting down until she turned eighteen. Of course this pissed him off a little bit but he was a poor card player when he was mad so they kept it up, these days it was just another joke... no longer even thought of when it was made.
Things had been busy back at the fire station though, there was a bit of a drought going on and that meant that fires were starting more often these days. They had all worked longer shifts then the norm and were looking forward to this card game as a chance to unwind, put the game on, have a few drinks and play some cards. Peter had even pregamed the drinking a little bit, having won a coin flip that made Micheal drive there while he enjoyed a few strong drinks before they went over, this was going to be a good night though neither of them had any idea why they would be having so much fun.
When they reached the house came another part of the tradition, a bit of a childish shoving mach once the bell was rung to see who would be walking in first, Micheal and Peter might not have been related by blood they bickered like siblings, they challenged each other always and it drove them to be better at anything they did, as soon as the door opened Micheal pushed in with a smirk while Peter walked in behind him, acting as though nothing had happened at all. Peter however was quicker on the uptake of what she said, the drinks he had earlier slowing Micheal down a little bit. “So your dad isn't in... well it would suck to leave just now if you made some drinks.” He said with his natural charming smile. “Well I guess we can watch a movie with you, as long as it isn't some teen romance flick.” He teased as he and Micheal headed into the house, toward the couch where the drinks waited.
