"Thanks for the ride." Will called to his friend as he slammed the trunk down on the black Toyota, a bag already sitting on the sidewalk, another and his backpack in hand. He turned to watch as the car pulled a u-turn and sped off, leaving him with his belongings at the curbside of his house. Shouldering his backpack and picking up his two bags, he walked up the driveway and pulled his keys from his pocket, unlocking the front door.
As far as traveling went, Will disliked flying quite a bit, but what else could he do when he went to school on the other side of the country, especially without a car of his own. His flight had been rough, and really he was just glad to be back home and see his family after being away for the past three months, although he knew that his parents would be away at work, at least for the day, and leaving his sister who may or may not be at home as well.
Stepping inside and slipping off his shoes he called out, "I'm home!" to his sister if she happened to be home. Heading up the stairs, he planned on dropping his bags off in his own room then perhaps getting a snack and showering, perhaps a nap as well, as he was feeling worn from his flight still.
