Farm Life Attacked (Cerberus and Shani)

[Cerberus]

The sun was shining and it seemed to be a wonderful day. The country of Emmeria had seen no problems even after the Ulysses 1994XF04 Asteroid. To the people on the Emmerian side all they had seen was shooting stars as it passed over them and landed in the neighboring country of Estovokia. They had gotten it much worse with a high death toll, their government collapsing and falling to a military government. Had the Emmerian government aided the creation of the Stonehenge project then perhaps things might of turned out differently.

Back In Gracemeria the day seemed like any other day, good weather forecasted for the day and nothing seemed to be of any trouble to a small little farm outside the city limits of Gracemeria. Suddenly rockets flew over head before dissapearing over the horizon where the city would be after a few minutes someone had come out side shouting. "The Bridge, They took out King's Bridge!" It wasn't long until tanks and troop carriers started to roll down the road. Toscha got out of the jeep and looked around as he checked his rifle. "Spread out, get those people back inside." The other soldiers nodded and started to crowd the people back into their houses. Toscha nodded and laughed abit. "Soon Gracemeria will be ours."

Saturday, now there was a day that could never be ignored. A day where you didn't have people bickering at you and no work to do. Just laze about and enjoy the day as it slowly went by. Plus the fact that it had now become summer only made this Saturday even better. In the Leto's darkened room the soft sounds of dog's feet were softly heard plotting on the floor before jumping into his master's bed and licking Leto on the face. "All right all right im up, gah!" He sighed and yawned and stretched before sitting up and throwing the blankets off of him and onto the bed. "All right Shadow lets get you some food." He smiled and ran his hands over the husky's muzzle and pulled on his p.j pants and a white tee-shirt. Leto knew he had to get up and at least start the days chores, feed the animals and then he could relax.

Saturday mornings were always less hectic then the other days. Dawn woke up at the same time, as she did everyday, 5:00 am. Being the mother of three and living on a farm, there was always so much work to be done. Dawn got dressed in a simple black dress, and went down stairs to the kitchen to get started on breakfast. She was making a variety of things, flapjacks, eggs, bacon, sausage, with fresh milk and orange juice.

Carrie and Lana share the same room. Carrie woke up to another glorious morning. She loved Saturdays it was always such an easy day. Carrie but on a pink dress, then went to Lana's bed. "Lana come on it's time to get up." She stated, Lana groaned lightly, "Okay." Lana rubbed her eyes and got dressed in a light blue dress. They both went downstairs, heading to the kitchen.

 

[Cerberus]

Toscha looked at the road map then to his driver. "Up there along the hill, a small house, Lets go and see just who is living up there. The soldiers nodded and some got back into their jeep. Toscha got back in and they drove up the road. He checked his watch for a second before sitting back and enjoying the ride noticing the people mostly obeying orders from the Estovokian soldiers. The Jeep pulled up and the soldiers got out. He made a motion with his hand for his soldiers to wait outside. Some of them looked at Toscha while others walked around the house. Toscha waited outside and watched his soldiers. He turned down his radio for a second as it was starting to bother him. He walked up to the door and knocked on it. It was true that the enemy was on their front doorstep.

Leto then thought about it for a second and looked at Shadow. "Oh sorry boy come on lets let you go out back for morning bathroom. Sorry boy." He laughed and grabbed his shoes and slipped them on and headed to the back yard and let Shadow go and head out" Once shadow was done with his morning bathroom break he trotted back over to Leto and barked. Leto laughed and just patted him on the head. "Well time for breakfast so go lay down." He walked back through the sliding glass door and to the living room and sat down watching the news as he always did. He stopped when he heard the knocking on the door. "Wonder who that could be."

 

[Shani]

The girls walked in, "Morning mom." They said at the same time, sitting down at the table. "Good morning girls, How did you sleep?" She replied. "Fine, mom." Said Carrie. "It was okay." stated Lana. Dawn turned around placing the plates of food on the table at each of their seats. "Where's your brother?" Dawn asked the girls. He's propably out with his dog, wait the news is on. He's in the living room." Carrie anwsered. Dawn looked toward the living room, "Leto breakfast," she called then heard someone at the door. "Hmm. Hardly anyone comes up here, Leto come on, go eat." Dawn said walking into the living room, wiping her hand on her apron, sh headed to the door. She opened it, "Hello. Can I help you?" She asked observing the soldier.

 

[Cerberus]

Toscha walked in and was followed by a few soldiers who said something in a different language. Toscha nodded and they moved around the house. "As you can tell M'am as of right now your government is no more and ours is in control of this country. Now our soldiers will be here for some time and I was wondering if I could set up my and my men's camp here on this nice farm land." Toscha looked Dawn over before going on. "It would be a welcomed change instead of some barracks to enjoy a nice relaxing spot right here. So now if you wouldn't mind bringing your family down and telling them as well."

The soldiers walked around the house to make sure that no one was waiting to ambush them as they started to secure the house, a few others walked in and looked at Leto and Carrie and Lana before ushering them into the living room and forcing them to the couch. but before they did that they took Leto aside and searched him for any weapons.

 

[Shani]

After they came in Dawn shut the door. "Yes Sir, We know what is going on. This is new news to us, our government no longer exsists?" She asked then continued. "But...Well I guess I don't have much of a choice, now do I? I don't see the problem with you and your troops staying, As long as you don't hurt my family or myself, or the crops and animals. We have some bare land were you can set up tents and such." Dawn stated Dawn walked ahead a little ways, "Children, children come in here please."

The girls were quiet, "I wonder what's going on?" Carrie stated. "I don't know, just stay quiet," replied Lana. They silently obeyed the soldiers as they were brought to the living room. Dawn watched the men very carefully as they forced the girls to the couch and pulling Leto to the side. "Children, these men will be staying with us for a little while, we arre to be courtious and respectful, understand." Dawn said trying to be strong for the children. The girls nodded there heads with nothing to say, they were scared out of there minds.

 

[Cerberus]

Toscha nodded and looked at his men before giving orders for them to set up tents and supplies to camp here. he then grabbed his radio and spoke into it telling command where he would be. He looked at the mother and nodded. "You have my word M'am. and where are my manners let me introduce myself. I am Captain 1st Class. Toscha of the Strigion team." He then watched as his men started to unload equipment and tents from the trucks and set it up. "Thank you for the use of your fields and house." He noticed how calm the mother was and nodded. "now if you like you may go about your normal day's business."

He then nodded and whistled over to another soldiers. "This is Iliya, He is my 2nd in command and would be more then willing to help out so if you need to put him to work and he can tell the men to do the same should you need extra help around the house." He looked around but noticed no other men in the house besides the son and him and his men and the way the mother looked he was surprised that it was just her and the girls. they could be very good for him.

The soldiers headed outside to the fields to set up their tents and equipment and to create a perimeter so that they could control who would come in and out of the property. Toscha looked at the picture of the family along with a picture of the mother that was for the husband. He figured it must of been older because when they looked they didn't see any other man in the house besides Leto So he figured that he'd be able to control the mother easily.

As the day went on the soldiers did their routine job setting up checkpoints at the end of the driveway to the house and creating a barrier along the whole house property. It wasn't until later that there was some problems when Soldiers checked Leto's room they had found his hunting rifle which was used to keep predators off of the farm land. They had quickly dragged him out and forced him to kneel and tied his hands behind his back. Illiya watched Leto and just shook his head As the soldiers were getting up to put him in the truck.

Toscha sighed before giving his orders. "Now By orders of Lieutenant Colonel Victor Voycheck you are to be taken as P.O.W. Any resistance will be met with equal punishment., Take him, bind him and separate them for further interrogation." The soldiers nodded and kept their weapons trained on Leto before dragging him to an opposite room while the others watched the girls.

 

[Shani]

Dawn nodded in agreement, no matter where a soldiers word is law. Though they were the enemy she really didn't have a choice in the matter. "My name is Dawn. These are my children, Leto, Lana, and Carrie." She said pointing to each one. "It's no trouble," she stated. She nodded to the Captain, then turned to face her kids. "Alright children finish your breakfast, then off to your chores." Dawn sent them on their way.

Turning toward the Captain, "Well, thank you for asking to lend a helping hand, as you see our land is farely big. We hardly turn down help." She stated, "Now please excuse me." She said returning to the kitchen, with the kids. The girls quickly finished the rest of their breakfast. "Mom? How can you be so calm about this?" Lana asked curiously. "Becausse they'll only be here for a few days, then we'll never have to deal with them again okay. So just be patient and normal, everything will be fine." Dawn explained, sounding so sure, but really she wasn't. She didn't know how long they'd be here, or anything of the situtation. Once the girls went to do theeir chores, she took a deep breath and began cleaning the kitchen.

Lana and Carrie split up, Lan went to milk the cows. Once she's done with the cows, she'll shear the sheep. Carrie on the other hand went to feed the chickens and collect the eggs, after she's done with the chickens she'llgo and groom and feed the horses. Though on different side of the farm, they both watched as the soldiers took over the land.

Dawn finally finshed cleaning the kitchen and moved onto the laundry. She was just coming outside to hang the wet clothes on the clothes line, when she heard the commotion. "Captian what's going on here?" She asked dropping the clothing basket. A look of worry and panic in her eyes.

 

[Cerberus]

Leto was dragged to separate a room and tied to a chair. A soldier went to check on a few of the soldiers who were gathering around the room before going to the room to deal with Leto and shutting the door behind him. Toscha looked at Dawn and shook his head. "It didn't have to come to this. As you can tell M'am as of right now your son is in a rather large amount of trouble. Earlier when we had searched we found no weapons but during a second search we recovered this, He was obviously hiding it, and for what, Use against my men. I will not allow it to happen. So now He will be questioned about it." He looked Lana and Carrie and Eden over and licked his lips. "Now what do you have to say for yourself?" He shook his head. "I don't think you realize how grave this situation is."

Toscha looked at Dawn and cracked his knuckles. "I don't think you are in a position to argue with me. With one command I give I can have you and your daughters detained or executed without a moments thought. Now I can See what I can do about helping your son but you'll have to do something for me."

"Leto!" Dawn cried out his name. " You said no harm would come to my family. Yes, that is his rifle, it is used against animals who threaten our farm. For example foxes,wolves, even bears, we can't be too careful. Leto would never use it against anyone he was raised better than that. He keep it away until he does his rounds, it's one of his chores." Dawn stated trying to explain that no harm was ment, also trying to spare her son.

Dawn's heat began to race and her eyes grew wide as he cracked his knuckles. "Bu...." She went to protest, but thought better of it. She couldn't afford any harm to her family. Dawn looked back at her girls, worry plain on her face, She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, "Alright....Alright what would I have to do for you?" She asked.
