Little Red

The day was pleasantly warm, birds chirped happily from their many perches in the trees of the forest, flowers bloomed and the little creek babbled to her as she walked. who was she? little Red Riding Hood, she hated the nickname. her real name was Alice, but because of that damn present five or seven years ago she was usually only known as Red. she didn't even wear it anymore, in fact she completely avoided wearing red at all. she sighed a little and looked about the forest in her cute pale blue jean shorts, and her light blue top, that almost seamed to accent her bright hazel eyes and soft brown hair, and did much to bring color to her winter paled skin. she was beautiful, everyone knew it, even she knew it. she grinned a little to herself as she paused beside the path to pick a bundle of wild flowers for her grandmother, who lived deep in the woods and all alone. Red loved her dearly and would do anything to make her grandmother feel less lonely, and as such visited as often as once a week, sometimes more, with her home baked treats and pretty presents. that was where she was off to now, she hoped her grandma liked the new recipe, she'd added a special ingredient.
