"Miss?"

The knock at the library door did more to rouse the woman from her daydreams than the sensual voice that called to her did. Juliet sighed softly, removing the thin-framed reading glasses that she wore, and rubbed her eyes before she moved to stand. "Come in, Rosetta. Have the kits gotten into trouble again?"

The door opened, revealing the slender and rather exotic young woman who stood behind. Hair so black that it seemed just a deep shade of blue framed a heart-shaped face, and fell with no restraint to the small of her back. Her skin was a light cocoa, and her almond eyes were a rare golden-brown, framed by thick lashes. "No, ma'am. They've been perfect darlings for the entire day." Her hands, sheathed in short black fur that matched her hair and gave the impression of velvet gloves, brushed at the modest maid garments she wore. "You have a package. A... crate."

"Cra - ... oh! Gods above, they didn't crate the poor thing, did they?" All interest in her books and papers gone, Juliet was quick to leave the room. Her pale skin almost glowed with sudden eagerness, a blush of pink across her high cheekbones and delicate nose. It took all the willpower she had not to snatch the sealed envelope that appeared in Rosetta's hands, her lips quirked in amusement at the curious look that showed not just in her eyes, but from the top of her fluffy, twitching ears, to the gentle sweep of the luxuriously furred tail she bore. Her little Rosetta. "Come with me. We have a new friend to welcome. The room is already prepared?"

The feline woman moved into step behind the human, her clawed fingers counting out as she spoke. "Yes, miss. The room has been prepared, the bath clean, and all of the linens changed. The cook has checked for all possible things involving meat that might be enjoyed, and has been instructed to have it prepared often." Rosetta grinned, almost seeming to skip in order to catch up to her wine-haired mistress.

"Good, good." Juliet's attention was on the letter she had pulled from the envelope, her lips moving in time as she read:

"Miss Terra,

Thank you for purchasing your wolf from us! We know that you'll be ecstatic to find that he's very healthy, and in great shape! You've purchased our Premium Quality grade of pet! You'll be glad to know that with this grade of pet, he'll be the peak of his species! You've also selected that he be a male and used typically for breeding and light work. With your selections, your wolf will require certain special care. He will need to be fed meats at least once a day and mated at least once a day, more being preferential to keeping a stable mood.

We know that you'll be one hundred percent satisfied with your purchase! If there's anything more that we can do, please enjoy your wolf, named 'Adell'.

Please note after delivery there are no refunds.

Best regards,
Pet Genetics Plus!"

Folding the letter, she handed it to Rosetta as they approached the entryway of the large and sprawling manor, a deep breath taken as her own emerald eyes fell on the box. "That's a large crate." Now, her eagerness began to give way to something else, a fear she knew and hated. 'Not this time. It will be different, this time.' The mantra repeated itself in her mind, her full lips set in a determined line as she approached the crate.

She knew nothing of what lingered within, except for his name, his gender, and his purpose. All the things she had asked for. Everything else, she had left to chance. She had wanted a male larger than her own slender 5'10", but to choose his coloring and the rest would have delayed her by months, maybe even years. All of the options she had were beautiful, so she had made it clear that aside for the few things she determined, he was to be random. Unique.

Before the hated feeling of fear and denial could pull her away, she undid the locks from the large wooden crate, pulling the door open and remaining where she was, glancing in from where she could bend over the wooden door. "Adell?" She noted that Rosetta had moved behind her, ever cautious of the power of this fragile bonding moment. "Are you in there, or have they delivered me an empty box?" Juliet kept her voice a light tease, a playful tone meant to comfort if needed.

They didn't have a whole lot to go on, really. She didn't give the lab much beyond a height requirement and gender. So, they did what they could with what they had and put it on the fast track. The customer was paying a small fortune, after all, so her order was immediately put at the top of the chart. They made sure that the order was filled correctly, without flaws, disease or even the most minute of problem. It had taken just under four months from lab to her doorstep, and over six digits in cost for the customer. Of course, they didn't tell her that forty percent of that cost was profits.

His head was still a bit of a daze. Subject 1.4.5.12.12 slowly opened his deep brown eyes. He'd been sedated for the long trip, as dogs did not travel well. His name was called by a soft female voice, it was an odd sound that made his ears stand upright. 'Father' had always spoken to him in a metallic male voice. This was something completely and utterly new to him. Everything was new to him, outside of the lab. He had the equivalent of a 4.0 high school education and basic housekeeping skills. The only problem with his breed was that they needed to be sexually active daily, otherwise they'd become edgy and easily agitated.

He shook his head a little bit, getting the thoughts of his 'upbringing' out. The voice, it was far, far more important. Finally snapping out of his daze, the wolf moved. All at once, the large, powerful bundle of energy burst from the crate, pouncing on her. A 6'1", 185 pound black furred wolf pounced on her, pinning her under his body. Nuzzling her neck, she could hear him murring quite happily as his muzzle buries into her soft flesh.

"Master." He chimes happily. Father had told him the first person to open the crate and call him by name would be his new master that he was to love and obey. He certainly loved her already, nuzzling into her neck like that. She was so soft! He'd never touched another person before, but he couldn't contain himself. He simply had to get his snuggle on and hug her, she was his whole world from that day forth.

One thing that she'd quickly notice is that he was not wearing clothes. Rio was a pet, not a person, so as he pressed his powerful body against her own, she could feel every little bit of his body touching her own, including his sheath rubbing up against her thigh as he snuggled up to her.

To say that she squeaked would have been a little overboard. Her gasp came with the rush of air that usually accompanies one caught by surprise, compounded with her going from standing to flat on her back. It was not the first time, to say the least... but it was certainly the fastest. "Master?" Juliet's emerald eyes fogged for the briefest of moments before she laughed, her fingers coming up to lightly scritch behind his black ears. "Oh, no. That won't do. My name is Juliet."

Barely able to contain her own laughter, Rosetta watched with avid curiousity. He was a thing of beauty, really. Taller than the Mistress, he would do wonderfully with simple work around the manor. Perhaps in the kitchens with the old badger? No, no... Her clawed fingertips tapped along her dark lips. Rosetta glanced down at the envelope in her hand, pulling out the letter to quickly skim it, a delicate brow raised.

"Juliet. If you must, you may call me Miss." She couldn't stop her laughter. He was so close in personality to the hounds, not what she had expected at all. Her imagery of a wolf came closer to the lone type, brooding and silent. This one was more akin to a giddy pup. Juliet grinned, pushing up on his chest in a silent command for him to move off of her, or at least allow her some room to breathe. "What is your name? Is it really Adell?" Her head tilted, letting the crimson curls that had come unbound from her shoddy bun fall over her eyes. "Or is there something else you would like to be called?"

She was all too aware of his nudity, or at least what she considered nudity. It wasn't a strange thing, really. Rosetta loved her clothes, as did a few of the other young fur-women, but most of the others walked around as naked as the day they were... born? Her hand rubbed the top of his head, finding her breath catching just slightly. He was gorgeous, and clearly willing. A part of her had so hoped that she could have a day to adjust, to make plans, but no... already her strange fear was closing her up again, her eyes going to Rosetta as if begging for rescue.

The maid smiled, bending down in such a manner that anyone behind the cat-girl would have gotten a lovely view of slender legs and shapely thighs. "My name is Rosetta. Won't you come off of Miss Juliet? The floor isn't quite as comfortable as you might think."

Juliet. What a gorgeous name. Adell quickly committed it to memory, his tail swaying happily as he snuggles up to the woman. The wolf would be incredibly loyal to her, that much was apparent. Even though he was young, one thing he knew was that he should be terribly loyal to her. Adell was hers and he knew it through to his core. Despite that fact, Father had told him that she was not to be mated unless she expressly told him so. Even still, the wolf felt what only could be described as love for her. That's how he was engineered and raised.

"Juliet." Adell parrots her, cooing the name. "It's a gorgeous name, so if Master wants to be called Juliet, then that's what I'll call her." He says, quite happy. Although the wolf was bouncy and energetic now, for all intents and purposes, he was still rather young. In some months, he would mellow out and become much calmer and quieter, but for now, she had a puppy. "Well, my name is Subject 1.4.5.12.12, which is Adell for short hand." He says, leaning up and looking down at her, his tail swaying happily. "Not unless Juliet would like to call me something else, no."

The wolf snuggled into her form, murring quite happily as he did so. Adell knew nothing of humility or inhibitions, so he had no concept of nudity or clothing, although he had been taught to wear it. Even still, he snuggled up to her. When the cat girl comes over to him, the wolf's first instinct is to growl loudly at anyone that gets near his newfound owner. A loud, deep, threatening growl emits from him, baring his fangs. He instantly became defensive of Juliet, obviously he'd never allow harm to come to her.

When he realized what the cat girl was doing (even though he still very much wanted to bite the girl), he stopped growling. "Oh." Adell says, getting up from Juliet. Helping her to her feet, his tail sways happily as he looks down at her. "Sorry, Juliet. I... got carried away. I'm just really excited that I'm here now. Father said you were kind and beautiful. He was right about you being kind, but your beauty isn't something that can be captured by words..."

'I can't do this...' Even though she was smiling, enamored by his happy spirit and carefree adoration, her heart wrenched and her throat seemed to close. Too close to a puppy, too much like a child. Oh, but he was handsome! In time, yes... maybe in time. "Adell," she started, looking thoughtful for a moment, "No, I like that name. It suits you."

Rosetta merely smirked at his threatening growl. Even without Juliet there, she could have held her own, but she was truly not a threat to the woman or her new pet. Righting herself, the maid crossed her hands in front of her lap, her eyes on the mistress as she was helped to her feet.

The human hated that she was stalling herself, and letting some silly fear come between her and something she wanted. Logic told her that she was right in her confused emotions, but her inner self chided her for being a coward. Why spend so much on the perfect male, and back out at the last moment? Was that not why she refused to see other, human, men? "Adell, this is Rosetta." A hand lifted to fix her hair, her eyes still on him. "When I am not able to be around, or am busy, she can do anything for you that I could."

Juliet watched him for a few moments, looking as if wishing to say or do something, but deciding otherwise. "I'll need her to take care of you for just a bit, while I go over the other documentation that has come with you." Indeed, her eyes fell on the rather thick manual taped to the door of the crate. "I would like it if you joined me for dinner when you're ready, alright?" With a slight shift, she circled him and tore the book from the crate, offering a smile before returning to her library. Back behind closed doors, she allowed herself a few moments to catch her breath, and then thunked the manual against her forehead solidly.

The maid watched her go, used to the routine by now. Always the same thing, but she had seemed so reluctant with this one. Now, the golden eyes that had focused on Juliet flicked instead to Adell, a smile on her perfect features. "A new family member is always something that she needs a little time to become used to. Please don't let it bother you. Shall I show you to your room, or would you like to see the grounds and the rest of your new family?"

The wolf stood there, smiling at the approval of his name. At least that much fit for him. When the cat girl simply smiled at his growl, he wondered if she honestly knew that he'd tear her from limb to limb and then trot around all proud of what he'd so easily done... At least she kept quiet while he was talking to his new owner. That way he didn't have to bop her on the head and give her a big bump if she did. It wasn't polite to talk over Juilet.

The wolf looked at Juliet, seeing the confusion behind her eyes, tilting his head. When she introduces him to the cat girl, he vaguely replies "Adell, pleased." while his eyes were still on Juliet, a concerned look on his face. Adell was genuinely trying to figure out what was wrong. He'd just gotten there... Father said that his new owner would be estatic that such a fine would had been delivered, but she didn't seem estatic at all. She seemed more... apprehensive, as if she were worried that it might be her that Adell was thinking about chasing around the house, barking at to no end. It wasn't, though, so her confusion and apprehension were equally as confusing for him.

When she stood there and looked at him for a few awkward, silent moments, his ears go down. She didn't even give Adell a chance to agree to dinner, Juliet just grabbed the book, smiled a creepy, scared smile and bolted out of the door. Adell was sure that he took good care of his fur and didn't smell bad, plus he'd brushed his teeth before being packed... So, that couldn't have been it. Maybe it was because he got defensive of her and growled at the dumb cat? Well, if that were the case, then he should apologize, not follow cat Meow McMeowMeow here around like a dummy.

"Oh, I assure you, it won't bother me." Adell says, looking at her. 'Maybe if I just bite her leg once, she'll stop talking to me...' He thinks to himself, looking at her with those devious brown eyes. "To my room, please." He said flatly. Following her out of the room, he followed like a loyal dog until he noticed her attention was off of him. Breaking away from her, the pads on his feet making his movements silent, he goes back and picks up Juliet's scent. Following it all the way back to the study, he slipped in quietly.

Moving in the door, Adell shut it behind him, making it click loud enough that she would hear. Locking it, he didn't want that dumb cat to come find him and give him hell for leaving her. She wasn't his owner, and he wasn't about to follow anyone else but his master.

"Juliet..." Adell smiled happily, again with no sense of intrusion or inhibition. "Don't leave me with the cat girl... I want to stay here with you. If you'll have me, that is. I can always go, if you'll ask me to." He tells her, at least having some sense of politeness.

"Her name is Rosetta, Adell." Juliet sat at her desk, her eyes flicked up towards him for just a few moments before she returned to the book. "Everyone who lives here has a name, and you should learn them and use them if you wish to please me. I don't want you thinking that I do not want you here, either. I asked for you for a very special reason, but I'm afraid... that I'm not quite ready to act on that reason. I need you to learn patience with me, as I will certainly have to learn patience with you."

Closing the manual, she stood and came around until she was standing in front of him, her hand lifted to scritch his ears. "I do not allow many in here without asking, Adell. Please make sure you knock when you want to enter, hmm? I assume you've also run off without Rosetta, too. You shouldn't do that, either. At least not until the others are accustomed to you." Turning away, the woman walked to the large picture window along one wall, unlatching it and pushing it open so that she could gesture over the grounds.

"There are many here who would attack you without thought, as you growled at Rosetta. Everyone here is family to me. Here for some reason or another, and it matters not if I have bought them, found them, or adopted them... I love them dearly. I ask you to stay with her until everyone knows you are not a danger, hmm?" She smiled at him over her shoulder. "I do want you here, Adell. I truly do, and I know we'll be the best of friends and everything, but even I need alone time. Just like you might need it yourself, I need it too, and I need you to respect my space, alright?"

Outside the door, Rosetta leaned against the wall, her tail idly swishing back and forth. For a time, she simply waited, but her attention wandered to the entryway again when more of the residents came through. Some paused at the new scent only to walk away, but one remained for a time before catching sight of the maid, and making her way over.

Freyja growled softly, but not in a threatening manner. "New one?" Her eyes flicked to the closed door, grey and black tipped ears flicking back along her skull for a moment. "New ones aren't usually allowed into the library so early."

Rosetta grinned. Freyja was almost the opposite of Adell in every aspect. Her eyes were clear and blue as the sky, her fur a near solid white save for the tipped ears and grey-black stockings on her paws. She had been the first of the adoptions, and not a purchase. "He wandered off while I was taking him to his room. Maybe he'll like you better, Frey-Frey. Stay here while I get food started for the others, please?" The feline girl gave a wave, accepting the huff from the other fur as an agreement before she left.

"Whatever." Freyja looked around, spotting a chair that she plopped herself into, arms folding over her furred chest. Unlike Rosetta, she had no need or want for clothes in the least. So she waited. New blood was always fun to toy with... she didn't let them get away with much, if she could help it.

"I don't really care what her name is." The wolf says, giving a huff, his ears going down. "Or anyone else's for that matter. I didn't get sent here to learn a bunch of names and people, I was sent here for you." The wolf said, brushing her hand away from his ear. She could already tell that the pet who wanted her affection was quickly turning the other direction because of her cold attitude toward him.

All of his time spent in the lab, his home, Father told him of one wonderful person, who would be his new owner. He should love her and care for her, that she would be amazing and caring and loving and a million other wonderful qualities. Adell was lied to, this woman was none of those things. She was cold, distant and even skeptical of him.

Adell wondered idly if it was because his 'kind' bred in laboratories around the world were originally used as disposable soldiers for the 'hot spot' wars that were going on around the world, although that simply didn't seem like the correct answer. There was something else about this woman, something off. She surrounded herself with people that would attack him on sight simply for not knowing who he was on her grounds, no one should enter her study without knocking, he had to stay with that damned cat...

Something was off about her, and Adell knew it. She could see it in his eyes. He might be young, though the wolf certainly was not stupid. Without another word, the wolf turned and left the study in a huff. So much for curling up at the foot of his new owner's bed...

He was half tempted to ditch the cat girl again and go exploring on his own, others attacking or not. When his eyes rested on the new female sitting in the chair, his ears went back against his head, his eyes narrowed. She was canine, except that the way that she was sitting, all smug like, he wanted to bite her damn ankle until she cried uncle. Huffing, he just ignored her.

"Is anyone in this place remotely sane? Sure, I've only been on this planet a few months, even I can tell that you people are off. The people at home, in the lab were more emotionally sound than the tw-..." he looked at the canine girl, the first time since he'd started ignoring her. "Three of you that I've met so far..."

Adell points at the study door. "Guarded." He points down the hallway, hinting at Rosetta. "Far too nice to be sane." The wolf jabs a thumb at the canine girl he'd not even allowed to speak yet. "Trying way, way too hard to be dominant." He said, his sharp brown eyes on the wolf girl. Giving a huff, he turned from her.

Adell was more annoyed with Juliet than Rosetta or this new girl. His new owner was supposed to be the girl of his dreams, yet she let him down. To be honest, he was just putting on a tough front in front of the canine girl. It didn't matter who was waiting on the other side of the door, he would've put up a tough front. His dreams turned out nothing like reality. All he wanted to do now was go to his room and sleep. Maybe he'd wake up in his dream after all.

Juliet flinched as the door shut behind him, sounding remarkably like a portent of doom in her mind. He was upset, and he had every right to be. How would she have felt to be brought to someone who was supposed to love and care for her, and only be held at arm's length. She wouldn't have been very happy, either. There was no way she could bring herself to be upset with Adell for simply walking out.

The woman sighed softly, walking back to her desk and idly flipping through the pages of the manual. Coward. That's all it came down to was cowardice, in the end. Juliet snapped the book closed, dropping it into a drawer in her desk and sitting down. Running after him was cliche. He needed to understand that she wasn't being mean. She just needed... time.

Freyja did nothing but grin as he talked. Was she dominant? Not by a long shot, but she certainly wasn't going to enjoy being made to sit and wait for some uppity brat who had ditched Rosetta. On the other hand, he seemed mildly amusing. So as he turned, she jumped up to follow him. "Most of us would say 'afraid', but I suppose guarded works as well, when it comes to Juliet. Probably won't make you feel any better, but she's like that with all of the boys she brings home. That's how we got here."

It was rare for Freyja to lapse into anything more than a mildly irritated state when it came to others, but she had a soft spot for cute boys, and Adell certainly suited that weakness just right. Not only that, but he seemed to need a friend, and she understood that more than well enough. "Actually, Rosetta really is sane. Surprising, I know. Mephit is the token insane one. Very, very bad owner prior to Juliet." The wolf girl came to stand beside Adell, her head tilted. "Rosetta was the second one to be brought here, about... twelve years ago?" She seemed to think about that for a while. "She was bought because... well, maybe you don't need to know that yet. But she really is just that nice. Has a mean streak if you push her to it, though. See?" Freyja ruffled the fur on her left side, showing off a set of old marks. "I was picking on some of the cubs when I first got here."

Freyja paused, her nose wrinkling slightly. "Sorry. You're kinda right about me. I act big, but I'm not really all that much bite. I get excited easily." She went silent, looking a bit awkward. "Uhm, hey... that was your crate out there, right? I bet you're hungry. Ros went to get things started, and she'll sneak us stuff while it cooks. There's no skimping on food here, and I can show you some of the nicer spots to play. Do you like things that squeak?" Her voice lowered almost conspiratorally. "I've got a bunch, but don't tell anyone else. It'll ruin my image, you know?" Fryeja grinned. "Come on. It'll be fun."

Finally, someone being honest with him. It was a refreshing change from the short time he'd been there. Between Juliet's sheltered world keeping him out and Rosetta's irritatingly constant smile, some honesty was going a long way with the young wolf. Plus, this dog girl was pretty cute herself, and while he wanted to bite Rosetta's ankles, he wanted to snuggle this one. Granted, he might've wanted to equally bite her ankles as well, had she not been so forthcoming with her words.

He looked down at the marring in her fur, his fingers going out to touch, stopping himself midway. "Sorry, I guess I just came here, expecting some perfect home and reality just kinda hit all at once. Going from the lab where I was doted upon by several people and Father to here is just kind of... shocking I suppose." Adell told her, looking at Juliet's door. He gave a deep sigh, looking down. He wanted to ask why she bothered to buy him at all if he wasn't supposed to be affectionate with her, or even see her at all. If she completely had her way, he wouldn't have seen more than a minute of her to say hello, take the manual and leave. Despite pouncing her and sneaking into her library, which was all his doing, Adell doubted she wanted to see him at all.

"I'm Adell, by the way. I suppose you already know that." He said, smiling for the first time, his ears standing back up again. At the concept of getting extra food, maybe a squeaky toy and somewhere to play, his tail started to sway happily. Leaning forward, he licked her muzzle, something canines intimate with one another would do. It's about the equivalent to a kiss on the lips with every ounce of affection thrown in. "I'd love to come with you."

"Yeah, you aren't the only one. Juliet is..." She glanced back at the door, "She's got some issues. For one, you won't find another human like her anywhere here. Rosetta says a few used to visit, but not anymore. I think that says a lot. She's a little distant at first, but she warms up within a couple weeks. She's never once sent any of us back, no matter how badly we've behaved or if we've bitten her." She grinned, leaning close. "I know she seems a little bit like an ice queen right now, but give her some time, alright? You'll be cuddling her in no time. Right now, she's just a little... scared, I guess."

"If she really didn't want you, or want to see you, or anything like that, she wouldn't have brought you here. I will give her that much, at least. Juliet does nothing without reason. Even if the reason is really, really hard to see at first." Freyja grinned again as she saw him perk, her own tail setting up in a happy sway when he licked her. "Actually, I didn't know your name. Rosetta just said you might like me a bit better than her, and told me to stay here and wait for you. I'm Freyja. Juliet named me... I was a stray that got caught."

Freyja motioned for him to follow, her tail swishing back and forth. "The kitchens are this way. We'll get some food in you, and then we can go play, and I'll show you anything you like."

"Then why buy a designer pet?" Adell asks her, shifting and trotting along side of her. "It just doesn't seem to make sense. I might be young, though I was taught well. She just doesn't make sense. Father said that my breed would typically cost into the six figure range, why spend that much money on me and then turn around and ignore me?" Adell asks her, mostly rehtorically, partly to see if he could get to the bottom of that rather complicated problem. In all, Adell had cost, plus shipping, $112,091.18. It didn't seem to make sense to him. To spend such a huge amount of money on what should be the perfect pet and then to send him away was... idly annoying.

"Freyja, it's a pretty name. I've heard it somewhere before..." Adell says, thinking to himself. "Freyja, Freyja..." He coos, tapping his chin. He looks at her and grins when he's finally got it. "Norse mythology! The Goddess of love!" Adell says, grinning playfully to her. Slipping his arms around her neck from behind, draping himself over her in the hallway, he playfully coos to her. "Oh Goddess Freyja, grant my wish!" Adell says, licking her fluffy ear, which was more playful than intimate, although the embrace definitely pressed two unclothed bodies together.

The wolf let the girl go, following her into the kitchen. "How do you deal with..." Adell glances over to the cat girl. Cats. He wanted to eat the feline, although she didn't look like she had a lot of meat on her body. Her body. Maybe Adell would like to... He shuddered, his paw going over his face.

"Mmph... Freyja... Can we go somewhere private to talk?" Adell says, blinking his eyes like one would do with a severe headache. Shaking his head, he seemed fine after that. Problem was with making his kind in the lab that there was a genetic flaw. It overstated the wolf's desire to mate, to the point that he needed it daily or he would go feral until he got what he wanted. He had to tell someone who would understand, he was sure that Freyja, being a natural female, had strong heat cycles and would understand.

"I don't really know." Freyja's head tilted as she walked, "You aren't the first, really. There's a bit of a pattern to it all. She buys, adopts, or finds a male like you, and then a few months later, she gets a female. There's a lot of... guilt, I guess. A lot of emotion. Maybe she thought something about you could be different, could help her? Like I said, I don't know. I was brought to be a companion for Phillipe. We don't get on very well, though." She groaned as he draped himself over her, playfully acting as if he weighed far more than she could handle. "Yes, you don't need to remind me of that. I get teased enough."

"How do I deal with what?" The kitchen had a few workers in it; Rosetta was busy stacking piles of meat on enormous platters, and a rather old badger fur seemed to be bossing around a couple young kits in getting things prepared. The cat girl grinned as the two appeared, taking two of the steaks off the pile and putting them on two smaller plates, sliding them down the counter to Freyja, who caught them and levered them into her paws. "Huh? Yeah, sure we can. Best place would probably be my room, right now. Everyone filing in for food makes it a little hard to get out."

She tilted her head in a slight nod to Rosetta, a silent thanks between the friends as she made her way out of the kitchens and down a hall that became comfortably dim, stacking the plates and opening a door and stepping aside to let him in first. The room was quite a bit like a den, circular in nature with a large stack of fluffy looking furs placed in front of what could possibly be a small fireplace if it was lit. Sconces on the wall were clearly meant to be for light, but the daylight that filtered in through a small window near the top of the room was enough light to see by.

"You alright?"

"That seems kind of silly, don't you think?" He asks her as he walked along with her. "I mean, she does know that I was designed for her, and her... you know, pleasure." The wolf asks his newfound friend, confused by the fact that his new owner really didn't even want him. It didn't make sense even to him to go out of her way, pay so much money for him and let him just wander off with someone else. Obviously, she didn't read the opening letter too closely. Adell needed certain 'servicing' every day, otherwise, a genetically bred wolf would succumb to his flaw.

"How do you deal with... well, you know, your heat... I feel like I'm losing my mind. I was supposed to meet my master and... you know, fuck her... She ran away from me the first chance that she got. Now all I can think about is my need." The wolf said, sitting down in front of the unlit fireplace in a fluffy fur, he gives a huff. Adell's head wasn't on straight and he was trying to focus on eating.

"No, I'm really not alright..." He says in the dim light that was really only bright enough for canines to be sitting comfortably in. "I have my genetic flaw, it's eating away at me, and instead of my new owner taking care of me, she's sitting off in some room by herself." He was trying to eat the steak that Freyja had gotten for him, Adell just didn't have the appetite for it. Setting it aside, he gave a long, low sigh, rubbing his ear, a nervous comfort.

"The problem with ones like you is that you can't understand. Not yet, at least. This isn't a lab. It's not a controlled environment. There's bound to be a few kinks in the system that just need to work themselves out." Freyja smirked, dropping down beside him and ruffling the fur between his ears. "You'll be more than fine, Adell. Just relax."

"As for my heat, well... I just jump the first male I find. They usually don't mind. I could always go get Rosetta for you. She's always up for that sort of fun." The wolf girl grinned, looking quite mischievous indeed. "Or... we could find another way to help you. You aren't limited to just one, here."
