It had been several years since her parents passed away. Always trying to forget about that night, but it always seaped into whatever she was doing. She wasnt alone, she had her older brother. Thankfully he had taken care of her. But only being an year older, it was hard for the both of them.

Knowing he would be home anytime, she started fixing dinner. Just simple friend chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans and a thing of garlic bread. Learning how to cook, was a thing she had to do. It was not a choice, did she like it? Well... lets not answer that.

Axsaru drove his car out of the factory. It was ironic: making parts for the very car he drove. He stopped by the gas station for a pack of cigarettes. He never really smoked. Just once a year, around the same time that...he expelled the thought from his head.

He was on his way home. Traffic was pretty light so he did his best to get home faster. He pulled out his cellphone and dialed his sister's phone.

(It's long enough. Don't worry.

Hearing her phone ring, she ran over to it. Touching the screen to realize that it was her brother. "Hey! Is everything okay?" She worried about him, with him bieng all she had. Knowing if anything was to happen to him she would be in a world of trouble.

Smelling the chicken, she put it on speaker and flipped the chicken. Moving around to check on everything else.

"Oh, don't worry. Everything is okay. Just was checking up on my sister." He said. He turned the corner , turning down the radio. "So how are you sis?"

"Oh, okay. I'm fine.. I'm just fixing dinner for us. Where are you?" She hears him turn the radio down. Moving to put the garlic bread in the oven. "Do you want some wine tonight with dinner?"

He thouggt about it for a moment. "Sure. A drink won't hurt." He sped up a little to avoid a red light. "What's the occasion?"

"Nothing... We just haven't done anything nice since well.. You know." She didn't want to bring it up, but it was true. The pair had been so focused on each other, thst they really hadn't had time to have any fun or just hang out.

"Ok then. Well, I'm around the corner. I'll see you soon." With that he hung up the phone. He pulled into his parking space and sighed deeply. Leaving the cigs in the car, he walked up to their apartment. He was greeted with the smell of garlic bread and chicken. "Smells delicious." He said with a grin. He walked up to hug and kiss her.

Smiling widely as she saw him, she ran to him and hugged him tightly. Only pulling away to kiss him. She could smell thst he had been smoking, but said nothing. Turning, she moved to the kitchen. "Its already. Are you ready to eat?"

"Yeah." He said. He put up his work coat and washed his hands. He sat down at the table, admiring the look of the food. "You first." He wanted her to eat before he did. She would need it before he would anyway.

"Both of us..." Smiling softly, she fixed him a plate. "We both need it.." Setting it down, she tried opening the wine bottle. Finally hearing it pop as shr poured him and herself a glass. Then, fixed her self a plate. "How was work..?" She took a bite if chicken.

"Same old, same old." He said taking a bite out of the chicken. "Delicious" he said with an eager smile. He had I small sip of the wine, truly enjoying the meal.

Smiling faintly, she grabbed a piece of garlic bread. Pulling a piece of chicken off, she placed sone on the garlic bread and smiled. "Did you want to do anything tonight...? Are would you justrsther stay at home?"

"I'm going to stay home. To much pressure and I've had some alcohol." He said to her. "Something you wanted to do?" He asked arching an eyebrow.

"No..." Smiling softly, she watched him carefully. He was always tired.. Shaking her head, she finished up her meal and pushed her plate in the dishwasher. Finishing her wine as she set back down.

He finished of his meal then put the dishes in the sink. He sat back down and swirled his wine glass around. It was half full as he took a sip out of it. "Can't have too much at once. Want to have self control."

"Okay.." She smiled softly. Ever since there parents death, they had become more distant. Maybe he hadn't noticed. But she had, he didn't speak of it. Knowing he was busy and such. "Did you want to spend some time together?"

"I'd love to." He downed the rest of his wine. As he stood up, he was a little off balance. "What do you want to do?"

"You choose..." Smiling from ear to ear. He agreed to hang out with her.. That was amazing. She moved around the kitchen and cleaned it. Hearing a thunderstorm approach.

Do you wanna rent some movies and have a movie night? Buy some popcorn? Like old times?" He pleaded him, begging him with those puppy dog eyes.

He couldn't help but smile at her puppy dog eyes. "Of course." He said rubbing her hair.

"Yay!" Grinning, she kissed his cheek. Just like always. "Ill drive... I have not had enough to even feel the affects." Grabbing her purse, she pulled a pair of shoes on. "Which ones should we get?"

He grabbed his leather jacket and Chucks. He had a bit of a stagger in his step but other than that he was fine. "Whatever you like." He said with a smile.

"Dont you go off and get arrested.. Behave okay? I don't have te money to bail you out. You'll just have to stay." Laughing, she headed over towards the movie place. Trying to think of what she wanted to choose.
