Skar was unique among bugbears in more then one way. Not only was he significantly lager then most, looking at nine feet tall instead of the normal seven but he was also quite intelligent, or perhaps intelligent wasn't quite the right word for it because he wasn't skilled at math nor was he a lover of great literature. Instead he possessed a much more vicious cunning beyond what most of his kind did, evading hunters with ease while others of his kind were easily tracked down and then usually slain in their lairs. His hunting and destruction was always done far away from the cave that he called his home to ensure greater safety, never before had he been successfully tracked.
However now it had changed and Skar was quite aware of it, he had smelled her coming from quite a while off, the shifting wind letting him know that she was approaching. Moving much more silently then something of his size should be able he had snuck around and spied her on the way in, a lovely thing but he wasn't going to underestimate her, she was likely quite dangerous and even if she had come alone she might have told someone where she had gone, making sure that anyone who followed her was well warned seemed like a very good idea and Skar was quite sure that he knew how to do it.
Where most of his type would roar as they charged Skar remained silent, suddenly bursting from the trees and moving toward his would be victim intent on smashing into her with his shoulder.
