It had been a long journey, frought with danger and many foes. Goblins, orcs, an occasional troll or two, untold monsters of various horrors, and finally, the demonic foe that guarded the impressive door. Legend had it that the beautiful princess lay behind that door, and with her, the legendary armor of Siegfried. Whoever possessed the armor would be considered the holiest, strongest warrior in the land. Whoever rescued the princess would receive the respect of her captured kingdom, no doubt. Only recent rumor had placed the princess there, and people were still puzzled by it.
Raewyn stood some distance away from the demon, eying it carefully. Her polished white plate mail had been scuffed and dirtied by the blood of the evils that she had endured. Holy powers of healing had barely managed to keep up with the plethora of wounds that had been inflicted upon Raewyn during her long journey and fight. Still, the lush tanned skin, rough only at armor points and fingertips, had nary a mark on it, a sign of a skilled healer. The girl's long, platinum blonde hair had been sullied by the blood of creatures and the dust of journeys, giving it a duskier hue than it normally would have. Even then, one could still see why this woman had earned, if barely, the title of Platinum knight. This untouched, virgin warrior was well known for her skills in combat and her divine presence. Many a monster had died with the last sight being those icy blue eyes.
Now the woman adjusted her gear, taking a sip from a mana potion as she did some final mental calculations. The demon was a harsh one, harsher than Raewyn had faced in her short, twenty some odd years. no matter, she would defeat it as handily as she had the others. That was what champions of light did.
The girl approached the demon, drawing out her sword and surrounding herself with a holy aura. The demon noticed the aura, noticed the woman, and immediately sent a short burst of magical energy behind it. Raewyn wasn't certain what that was about, but she assumed it had something to do with a final enchantment upon the princess. bellowing a holy battlecry, she launched herself at the demon. Within moments, it too would fall, and the holy warrior would be entering the chamber of the princess, to save the poor girl and claim her long-awaited prize.
