You can subscribe to the thread, which is an option you can click at the bottom of the page in any given thread. Doing this, you'll have the option of either receiving or not receiving emails when updates occur. Plus, you can have a nice link list in your User CP located under the 'Subscribed Threads' option located on the left hand side once in the User CP.
