Illium... A regional hub of asari commerce awash in riches, glamour, luxury, style and danger. On it's surface it may seem like a safe tourist destination, countless amouts of the galaxy's most highly regarded celebrities maintain extravagant estates through out the planet. Don't be fooled, Illuim is just Omega with stilettos, almost everything is legel on this planet except muder.
In the Capital city of Nos Astra, the illution of safty is cast useing self-congratulatory media to exalts its own society with the provincial arrogance of "new money", glorifying in "sexiest CEOs" and "ten richest residents" lists. But underneath all the wealth and glamour, Illium is cesspool of crime and greed. These things are what Illiums eop police department, the Nos Astra PD, protect the average citizen from everyday.
It was late in the day when Kevin's shuttle finally arived in Nos Astra from it's long journey. He had taken a ship from the Toronto International Spaceport to the Citadel, and from there he was able to ge in contact with a private shuttle company to take him to the Asari world of Illium. A strange place for an Earth born Human to go, but then again, Kevin was a strange Human, he had never been fully contant with what his life was back home, far too busy thinking about the stars then his job or his ever discouraging parents. It was hard being the only child of a father who expected him to take over as the CEO of Northern lights Omni-Tools, one of the plantes leading manufacturers. But Kevin never jad any intention on taking over his family's company, he was far too busy reading intergolactic news feeds and day dreaming about life in the stars. Kevin evetually used his parents contacts to get a few favors and landed a rookie position in one of the most respected police forces in the galexy. Kev had alreadt gone throgh much police training in secret to make it easier for his contacts to get him in. So as soon as he could, he took out a large sum from his daddy's bank account and got himself off world.
The Nos Astra Spaceport was a buzz with a melting pot of diversity that Kevin had never seen before. Sure, he had seen plenty of aliens when he visited the city, but they were all tourists, and now he was the tourist, the odd man out in the hundreds thats filled the port. After an hour of getting through customs and what not, he finally managed to get to the taxi termanal and get himself a lift the the police station. He had already bought himswlf a small apartment via an add on the extranet, and was now on his way to an introduction from a an officer assigned to meet him and get him started and with a partner. Everything was happining so fast, his life in a new world was well on it's feet and he was already going to get a partner for his ner career.
As Kevin approched the police station he began to feel nervous, he became slightly clamy and a pit formed in his stomach. Getting out of the taxi, Kevin scanned the area of any sign of who was supossed to meet him or any sign of his new partner. 'This seems very odd. I come all this way and pull all these strings and they don't even remember. Kevin gulped as he looked around and noticed he was the only human in sight. Looking at the time on his omni-tool he tried to make himself blend in, but slight sweat and a nervous breathing made him stick out much more then he wanted.
