"Spike, do you come In, SPIIKE?!" Jet yelled into the com but got nothing back. Syndicate ships were swarming the Bebop making jet choose the hardest choice of his life, to Leave Spike and turn away to make repairs on the Bebop. "Faye get in here Now, we need to head off and make repairs before the Syndicate tear apart this ship." He sighed and held off the Syndicate so that Faye could land her ship inside of the hanger before he started to turn the ship around. "I hate to do this old friend but Spike you're on your own." He turn the ship and powered up the engines to full before blasting the Bebop away from the Mar's atmosphere and out into deeper space.

-------------------------6 months later-------------------------------
Jet was deep in the engine of the Bebop as it was still coming apart. "Oh just great falling apart are we? Well I don't think so." He shook his head looking back at the tv from time to time. "Lets hope Faye can find this target or else we're out of luck."

This was all Spike's fault. The guy was such a pain in the ass. Six months rated trying to find him. Six months of only Jet and herself on the Bebop. She almost wished Ed was back. At least things would have been more interesting. In fact with the young hacker on board out would have been easier to find Spike. Maybe if Ed was back she wouldn't be here scouting for a new recruit. Well, if you call sitting in a nearly empty bar scouting. Faye sighed and threw back the last of her drink. Jet would kill her if he knew she was here and the thought of that simple defiance made the woman smile.

Faye left her money on the bar before.walking out. Well, it seemed like there was no one here either. A tiny voice in her had tried to explain that perhaps the reason she never found anyone was because she didn't want to find a replacement for Spike. Could that voice have been her conscious? What the hell was that still doing there?

The Bar normally wasn't this empty but there was a nearby gang that was running guns, causing trouble and making the work hard for this bar. It was empty save for a booth. a young man sat there finishing off a drink a finished cigarette smoked out still until it was dying embers. He watched Faye turn and leave and could help but have his eyes run up her backside, along her long legs to her ass and back. "Leaving without even having a drink? Now that's just bad form." The man looked at the bartender then nodded having him make a glass for Faye and slide it down to her. "Sit, have a drink."

Faye didn't seem to hesitate at taking the man up on his offer. Who was she to pass up on a free drink? She wasn't about to correct him by telling him she had already had one since entering. "Now here's a man who knows how to treat a lady. The dark haired woman picked up the glass between her thumb, middle, and forefinger. Drinking came just below gambeling for Faye. "So who should I thank for the drink?"
