[Shiro ] [Mydnight his avatar]
Sitting in the middle of a class full of high school freshmen, a particular teenager was mulling over thoughts about the rest of the day. His mind should have been focused on the lecture his instructor was giving the class regarding biology; however, thoughts of whether his mother would actually be home or not that night plagued his mind. Things were hectic ever since his sister left for school and his parents did everything they could to keep the Otaku away from her little brother and the house…sure they paid for her to go to college, but they also dumped her in an apartment complex so they did not have to deal with her obsessive quirkiness. Shiro missed her presence though. Usually it was the only presence that would have filled the house when he arrived.
Not too mention that the holiday season. That thought made the youth sigh, pushing strands of snow-white bangs up, over lavender eyes. ‘I still need to get Koi-chan a present on S.I.N. and then I have to get something for Nee-chan, mom, dad, Himeko, Takeda, and the others…’ he thought with a half-smile, half-frown. Whatever, he could think about those things on his way to the house because the bell was ringing to dismiss the pack of social animals known as teenagers from the halls of the private academy, and Shiro decided to take the leisurely stroll back home to grab a small bite to eat. After all, he didn’t need to sign onto the game until six for their ‘date.’
“I wonder if she’ll want to do the Winter Wonderland event tonight…or if she’ll just want to make love since we haven’t gotten on much lately,” he mused. Shiro was what you would consider an average teen with average problems. Five-five in height with a slender, but athletic build…he had short snow-white hair that fell over lavender eyes in pointed bangs for a coot yet troubled appearance. Most people thought him a bit weird, but he was genuinely a loving and considerate person with the smarts to do what he wanted in life…but the social confidence to be invisible. That was fine though, because when he signed online to play S.I.N…he knew there would be one person who understood him and he loved her to death despite never having seen her save in the form of an Avatar.
Before he knew it he was strolling back into the house and found it empty with a note saying his mother was out, and of course his father was still overseas for work. Not troubled much by it he dropped his stuff on the floor and shuffled into his room to boot up the game program; the moment the music could be heard through his head piece, he slipped the virtual reality helmet and sensors on with a smile. From that moment Shiro didn’t exist…but he was now Mydnight—The Shadow Dancer (a top tier rogue class).
In avatar form he was a lean, muscular dark elf with hair similar to his own in real life but different. His avatar stood around five-nine in the world of Sin and was a completely unique blend of setups…his dexterity and agility were amazing allowing him to evade, sneak up, and crit like crazy; more so, he also invested in his defenses to make his ideal character. Well he had a little help from her…and speaking of her, she didn’t seem to be online yet so he made his way to the marketplace to purchase one of the evolving set packages for the holidays. It wasn’t much of a gift…but he would get her something better later. After all, they agreed to go on an actual date tomorrow!
After the in-game purchase he made his way to their usual spot. It was a forest-like setting that had scattered safe zones and some rather pesky monsters, but they could handle them. In particular there was a single spot which held a lake setting underneath a waterfall gated by the trees around them…a particularly nice sex point where they found no one ever occupied. He sat with his legs cross waiting for her to sign on…licking his lips in anticipation for the moment he could have his one true addiction.
