The city moved slowly with the traffic of the lazy two o'clock hour. It was only time before rush hour but for now the streets matched the hazy sky in mood. The street had many small owner business on it, but one that had opened up just a week ago had demanded an unusual amount of attention. It was a store that moved from area to area staying open for only a year before vanishing. It was called Shop of wonders the new pet store on the block. The front of the store was like any other pet shop offering bunnies, cats, puppies and more. The back, however, was geared to a much different clintel. In the back the cages of glass and metal were far bigger and the contants the talk of the town. In the back were human animal hybrids. A new type of companion that wasn't completely legal yet. With the right piece of paper it was fine, but many groups had started to act up agrueing the hybrids needed rights.
The back was divided into different areas, avians, feline, canine, and so forth. The avian section was by far the most collorful. With many bird human crosses, of both genders. Among them was a hawk boy with green eyes and dirty blonde hair. He had a brown mark that looked like a scar on his left check and his ears were slightly pointed. He was pacing the small cage anxious to get out. His clawed feet gripped at the fake dirt below them. The cage was so small that he couldn't even fly or jump around without hitting the top or the edges. The cage was marked Tala, hawk hybrid, age 19 gender male this was to let the costumers know a little about him without giving intimit detail. Tala wasn't the youngest in the shop but he wasn't the oldest either. Tala groaned to himself as he placed his hands on the glass and looked around the store. He wanted out. He'd only been brought to the store recently and he already hated the confinement. He would give anything to be taken out of this cage.
