The woman stood before the window, looking out at the lush lawn of the mansion, her red hair raising gently off her shoulders as a breeze caressed it, green eyes staring at the beautiful full moon tonight. A simple white short gown was all she would wore for bed. She doubted he would call for her tonight, he seemed deep in thought tonight at dinner. He bought her flowers again. He seemed reluctant to give up on her being more affectionate.

With a soft sigh, she closed the window but a crack and picked up a brush off the dresser. Sitting on the end of the bed, she began to brush out her straight red hair, making it softer than it had already been. She stared at the ground, not interested in looking at the vases around her room with flowers in them. She couldn't quite figure out what he was looking for from her, just that he seemed disappointed in her reactions.

Shaking her head at the confusion, she stood and put her brush down on the dresser. Shutting the light off, she quietly went to the bed and slid beneath the covers. Closing her eyes, she awaits for sleep to finally take her.

It was still early in the evening, but typical of the girl, she'd tried to sneak off to bed while it was still dusk. He'd finished cleaning up after his dinner and began to walk up the stairs to her room. Normally, he'd have wandered off to his own and read until he fell asleep, but tonight, he felt he may as well try something a little different.

Going into her room while she was still just falling asleep, he pulled the sheet back. Slipping into the bed with her, she could feel the large, black furred wolf press against her. His arms slipped around her body, pulling her close, his fingers resting on her stomach. Putting his chin on the top of her head, her chest to his own, he laid there, softly holding her.

He was trying something new. Nothing ever got the girl to make a sound, and he was trying more and more forward things. Although he'd not yet taken her sexually, the thought had crossed his mind more and more often as time passes.

Rayne was just about out when she heard the gentle click of her door. She didn't move, nor did she let on that she was still awake. She figured he was probably just checking on her.

To her surprise the sheet moved back and she found herself surrounded by the warmth of the wolf. She felt his arm slide around her and then he pulled her close to him. She forced herself not to tense up when he laid there and held her. He had never done this before, it must be something new he wanted. Why her?

She figured it wouldn't take him to long to realize she was not asleep. With a soft sigh, she opened her eyes and looked ahead at him. She couldn't figure out what it was he wanted? Was he planning on staying there? Closing her eyes, she decided to just try and go to sleep, despite the new company in her bed.
