Eric Damon was a redheaded Trainer running away from three Rocket Grunts. He wanted to save his Pokemon's energy for when he really needed it, since they had to be healed at the Pokemon center.
He shouted "HELP! THESE GUYS ARE GOING TO KILL ME!"
One of the Grunts muttered "We might not kill ya now, but the Boss will have us do it later, possibly. Now GIVE UP!"
Eric prayed to Arceus that somebody would come rescue him from these filthy scumbags.
He despised them. They attacked his small island village, killing almost everybody there. Eric and his missing girlfriend Peggy Owen were somehow the only survivors that were human. Eric wanted his revenge, but only after he saved his true love.
Eric had also retaliated against them by stealing numerous Pokemon from them using a Snag Machine, which was on his arm.
Eric got tackled by one of the grunts, and was about to be carried off to his fate.
