This is for straight and/or yaoi roleplays, so anyone can apply.
Down to business... those listed below are characters I can or will play.
You however can play a character from the book or your very own made-up. This, I don't mind, as long as he/she is not a Mary Sue or Gary Stu. That means no half-veela, half-fairy, half-werewolf with a dark and painful past and a destiny worse than that of Harry Potter.
No transfers, either for that matter, unless we plan to do a time travel role-pay where one character from the present ends up in the past.
You can pick one, or two things to make your character quirky - say he/she is a werewolf, a veela, a fairy, or whatever, but don't throw them altogether.
It gets so unbelievable.
Also the second I scent perfection or elitism my brain will check out. This applies for IC but most of all OOC. I respect my partners, therefore I expect to be respected in turn. Heh...

Name: Tom Riddle
Age: Varies on the RP
Sexuality: Bisexual
Biography: Born of a witch mother (Merope Gaunt) and a Muggle father (Tom Riddle, Sr.) on December 31, 1926. His mother had fallen in love with his father, who was a Muggle, and tricked him into marrying her with a love potion. While she was pregnant with Tom Jr. she allowed the love potion to wear off and he abandoned her and moved back into the Riddle house with his parents. Merope died giving birth to her son so Tom Jr. was raised in a Muggle orphanage.
Tom grew up to be a very powerful wizard. He excelled at Hogwarts, winning awards for service to the school and magical merit. He was even head boy in his seventh year, but he was already dabbling in the Dark Arts while still at school. Some of his closest friends in Slytherin were already calling him Voldemort, a name Riddle had chosen by rearranging the his given name into "I am Lord Voldemort."
He is full of charisma, and can charm with just the faintest of smiles.
Name: Draco Malfoy
Age: Varies on the RP
Sexuality: Bisexual
Biography: Draco Malfoy is the son and only child of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoyand was a student at Hogwarts in the same year as Harry Potter.He is a rival of Harry, actively trying to undermine him in any way he can. Draco has white-blond hair and a pale, pointed face. He owns an eagle owl which made almost daily deliveries of sweetsfrom home. Draco became the Slytherin Quidditch Seeker after his father made a generous donation of Nimbus 2001 brooms to the team.
Draco met Harry Potter for the first time at Madam Malkin's robe shop in Diagon Alley on July 31, 1991. Draco confided to Harry that he was planning on bullying his parents into buying him things he wanted, which reminded Harry strongly of his cousin Dudley. When Draco saw Hagrid through the window of the shop, Draco spoke disparagingly of him, calling him an oaf and a servant.
He, as his parents before him, view Muggle-borns as Mudbloods, having no respect or mercy for them.
Name: Severus Snape

Biography: Severus Snape was a conundrum to all who know him: cruel to his most vulnerable students, yet respected by his colleagues; Dumbledore's confidant, healer and murderer; the only person known to have been both a Death Eater and a member of the Order of the Phoenix.
Severus Snape was the only child of Tobias Snape (a Muggle), and Eileen Prince Snape (a witch). The Snape household on Spinner’s End in an industrial part of northern England was not a happy one. Tobias Snape frequently unleashed his anger on his wife, and Severus, their wizard child, was neglected or worse. When he was about 9 years old, young Severus discovered another magically gifted child at the neighborhood playground, and fell in love with green-eyed Lily Evans’s generous nature and her daring -- and tried to forget that she was a “Mudblood,” a Muggle-born witch.
Severus and Lily attended Hogwarts together from 1971 to 1978, but Severus was sorted into Slytherin while Lily was sorted into Gryffindor.
Name: Lucius Malfoy

Biography: Lucius was a Death Eater during Voldemort's first "reign of terror," however after the Dark Lord disappeared, Malfoy "came back saying he'd never meant any of it". Lucius revived his old allegiances when Voldemort rose to power once again. Lucius Malfoy used his position in the wizarding world to wield considerable power in the Ministry of Magic. When Fudge was minister, he acquiesced to Lucius, impressed with the "purity" of his wizarding blood and sizable sums of Galleons he donated.
His son Draco Malfoy was Harry Potter's archrival at Hogwarts. He remained staunchly against admitting non-pure-blood witches and wizards into Hogwarts and he used his influence (and money) to try to force changes there. He considered Dumbledore to be a very poor headmaster and even succeeded in getting him temporarily removed from that position.
Calm, detached, and arrogant, to the point where Slytherin house fits him to a T: he is just the sort of male who will go for what he desires - whatever the consequences.

Biography: Harry James Potter was born on July 31, 1980, in Godric’s Hollow to Lily and James Potter. James Potter's best friend, Sirius Black, was named Harry's godfather. Sirius, James, and Lily were all part of the Order of the Phoenix, a group of witches and wizards who were desperately fighting against Voldemort. They were outnumbered and many of them were killed, but they fought on. James and Lily had narrowly escaped Voldemort three times during this time.
Before Harry was born, a prophecy had been made about a boy to be born at the end of July which indicated that this person would be able to defeat the Dark Lord. Lord Voldemort heard part of this prophecy because one of his Death Eaters, Severus Snape, was eavesdropping. The Dark Lord resolved to destroy the child. Both Harry and another child, Neville Longbottom, would have fit the prophecy, but Voldemort decided that Harry must be the one and went after him. James and Lily knew that Voldemort was trying to kill Harry, and by October of 1981, they had used the Fidelius Charm to hide themselves away. Unfortunately, the person they chose as Secret Keeper for the Charm, Peter Pettigrew, turned out to be a double agent who revealed their location to Voldemort.
Brought up by his Muggle relatives since the death of his parents at age 1, he has a surprisingly humble attitude but, when push comes to shove, also can be quite stubborn - often disregarding school rules with the use of his father's Invisibility Cloak.
