Welcome to the BBCode Help Hotline! ♥︎

This is the place to ask all your questions about BBCode. If you're wondering how to get a certain look, how to navigate xtable use, or if you simply want to ask why your code isn't working as expected, we're here to help! Please note that any full requests for BBCode design must be directed to one of our designers—this thread is for help with immediate issues and questions.

Please fill out the BBCode Help Hotline form to get started.

Thank you!

BBCODE HELP HOTLINE FORM

1. What would you like help with? Please be as specific as possible, e.g. "How do I change the background color of my table?" / "Why do I have extra tags at the end of my code?"

2. If applicable, please insert your code. This helps us review the code faster for any possible problems!

3. OPTIONAL—please attach any relevant screenshots that may help illustrate the issue, e.g. misaligned elements, floating BBcode tags, incorrect sizing, etc.

Not sure if we're allowed to post here or should be DMing a mod, but I was wondering if BMRP has the option with current codes available to change the opacity of xtable borders (and backgrounds, since I'm asking)? The only options I have seen online to implement this with bbcode would be to use rgba format instead of hex when choosing the color, or being able to add opacity within the hex code (ex. red with half opacity would be #ff000050), but neither of them worked when I tried, nor did adding border-opacity:0.5 within the xtable code.

The current box I am dealing with is this one:

𝕟𝕠𝕥𝕖: Not all characters listed here are open for roleplays.
Please check my request threads for character availability.

Code:
[FONT=courier new][COLOR=rgb(8, 128, 128)][xtable=bcenter]{tr}{td=border:3|border-color:#ff0000|600pxx@}[CENTER]𝕟𝕠𝕥𝕖: Not all characters listed here are open for roleplays.
Please check my request threads for character availability.[/CENTER]{/td}{/tr}[/xtable][/FONT][/COLOR]

I've managed to get pretty much everything to my liking, except I was really hoping to be able to decrease the opacity of the red border to make it less intense without resorting to using a more 'pastel' red hex code (which would be fine on a white bg but I use the 'dark mode' BMRP so it doesn't have the same visual result on the navy bg).

Hi there,

I'm having an issue with my signature. I'm trying to link my req thread in it, the way many other players have it in theirs, but it just refuses to work. The link text doesn't become clickable. At first I tried having the image be clickable, but that also didn't work. It's clearly working for other players, so I'm sure there's just something I've overlooked, but I can't figure it out.

Code:
[CENTER][FONT=courier new][URL='https://bluemoonroleplaying.com/community/threads/173645/']requests[/URL][/FONT]

This is a known (possibly intentional?) issue for new members. Ping an admin in this thread and they'll help you out.

I think I know what the problem is. Are you using the little chain looking symbol 🔗on the edit bar? It'll pull up an area to put your link, and then have an area for you to enter the word "request".

like this:

Code:
[center][URL='https://bluemoonroleplaying.com/community/threads/173645/'][font=courier new]requests[/font][/URL]
[IMG width="232px"]https://i.postimg.cc/KjdYZB1t/signature.png[/IMG][/center]

though, I think I grabbed the wrong request thread since it's not showing up when I click on the link >.<

It doesn't seem to make a difference.
unfortunately, a lot of new members don't have the privileges to add links in their signatures for some reason ~ reach out to an admin (red name), and they'll fix it for you!

I just want to add and let you know, you did have the correct code outside of that just so you know you're not crazy lol.
But yes, it is a newer account problem.
