Bitter. That was the word many would choose to describe queen Aria's attitude toward the king. She was a beautiful woman, wise, and graceful. She had been a young flower when he received her and took her for his queen. For awhile, things were happy. And then he began to ignore the beautiful woman so that her charms faded away to his eye and she began to age and thus, he lost more interest. Now, she was little more than a powerful servant to him--one that he could decorate and show off.
Tonight, they were hosting dignitaries from the kingdom of beastmen to the west of them. She had been charged with ensuring that the beasts were entertained and quite satisfied with their lodgings. She had learned much about beastmen in preparation of their visit, but rather than be included in their talks, the queen was set aside, only called in when it was time to make sure they had everything they needed.
Aria was still a beautiful, desirable woman, and if her husband would not touch her, she would find someone that would. So tonight as she went to check on their guests she wore her dark brown hair in beautiful loose curls. Her dark eyes looked lovely in the soft light of the long corridor that led to the monsters' wing. They were having a feast brought to them and had arranged for their own entertainment, but she hoped they would invite her to stay.
She wore her most exciting undergarments--nothing more than colorful swaths of lace--and a gown that showed off her impressive cleavage and lovely shoulders perfectly. She grinned, the silky red and gold material clinging to her in just the right places, showing off her lovely olive skin. She heard the sounds of merry men and hoped that that mood would continue as she knocked upon the chamber door. She wore a circlet that showed she was, in fact, the queen, and smiled softly, confidently. She hoped that the rumors of their excitement and passionate natures were true. She was counting on it.
