Rafe sighed softly as he pulled his car into the unpaved driveway. His tires bumped and shook on the occasional rock or pothole in the dirt road. At least the house looked large and comfortable. But a farm? Really?
He spent most of the afternoon helping move his things inside with some help. Then he waved the moving truck off as he turned to walk inside his new home. At least it was bigger than an apartment. Rafe ran his hand through his long silvery hair as he looked at the letter that had been left taped onto his apartment door with his emerald eyes. Hard work wasn't something he was accustomed to, he was a writer. Or at least he hoped to be. He couldn't imagine cleaning after animals or plowing fields or anything like that.
He decided he should check up on the animals and make sure they had food and water and so he headed for the surprisingly huge barn.
