Hi and thank you for showing an interest.

First things first:
  • I will only play Female x Female for main characters. Side characters can be whatever gender you like, but will not generally be involved in sex scenes - and especially not male side characters.
  • I will only play in forums and only on site. Sorry, but this is non-negotiable. I have my reasons, I will explain them in private if required.
  • I am 50/50 switch and will play Domme, Butch, Top, Vanilla, Bottom, Femme and Sub. See individual ideas for my preferred role in each.
  • I don't care about your RL gender - in fact, I'd rather not know it. As long as you can play a female character convincingly, I'm not too bothered. However:
  • Please have a female or gender-neutral/androgynous avatar. This is a weird quirk of mine, for which I do apologise in advance. It comes from a weird experience a number of years back. Please bear with me on this one. I find it hard to visualise your character as female if there is a big bearded bloke staring at me from the sidebar.
I have a few specific kinks that are all optional, but if you are able and willing to include one/some of them in the RP, I will be very happy...
  • Water-sports/urine or urethral play. - This one listed first because it is probably the least popular of all my kinks. Accommodate me on this one, and you will be forever on my good list!
  • Breath play - This requires a great deal of trust between domme and sub in real life and I would love to try role-playing it
  • Needles/cutting - The latter just shallow. Needles inserted and cuts inflicted on sexual parts.
  • Blindfolds - not being able to see what is happening increases the sub's excitement, Most people take them off far too soon IMO.
  • Predicament Bondage, where the sub has a choice between pain on one part or pain on another.
  • Furry's/aliens - I have a sci-fi universe with a whole load of unique alien species (hopefully I will find a place to post it up!).
  • Bondage of almost any degree - although the more extreme the better. Breast bondage in particular.
  • Slow-Burn romance, especially in a vanilla scenario.
  • Public nudity, public sex - needs to be in the right setting to avoid indecency laws.
  • Pony/Pet play. Speaks for itself, I think.
If I think of any more, I'll add them. Note that these are just the special kinks I love. I am open to just about anything not listed in my offs list (below). If you want t try something that isn't listed, please ask.

These are the things that I will not have in a sexual scene, and/or things that I don't want to appear at all in the RP. Please do not ask about them.
  • Male Characters. Also, for me, includes Futa characters. (M to F Trans characters are okay but will need to be reassigned to their true gender before any sex scenes can happen, this can be magical or future-tech. Or the character can already be post SRS.)
  • Scat, Vomit, Filth.
  • Menstruation - This can be hand-waved or, for Slice-Of-Life, we can have a couple of weeks with no sex.
  • Non-sexual torture. Inflicting pain outside the context of sexy-times is just not for me.
  • Mutilation. Other than needles and light cuts (as above). Note that tattoos and piercings are okay, but can take a while to heal properly unless magical or future-tech. Of course the idea could be that they don't heal properly, but that might come under non-sexual torture...
  • Undead - Vampires, werewolves and zombies. I'm sorry, but I find nothing sexy in these creatures
  • Male avatars (as mentioned above)
  • Death. (Unless the character is already dead, or the RP takes place in the afterlife).
Again, if I think of any more, I'll add them. If in doubt, please ask. I'm sure there are some things I've forgotten to put on here, but they don't show up that often.

There are very few genres I won't do, so I'll list these. If it's not listed here, chances are I'm up for it. If in doubt, you can always ask.
  • Fandoms - there are exceptions, but if you ask me about a fandom, I will most likely say "Never heard of it!"
  • Undead - anything involving Vampires, Werewolves or Zombies. Ghosts are the exception under specific circumstances.
  • Trek-Wars and other unrealistic Sci-Fi
Genres I will do are too many to list here.

These are few and far between... I prefer OCs, but some I will make exceptions for if you pick my canon ship!
  • Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Riders of Pern
  • Anne McCaffrey's Brain-Brawn universe (FSP)
  • C.J.Cherryh's "Downbelow" Universe
  • Game of Thrones TV series
  • Frank Herbert's Dune (OCs Only)
  • Firefly Verse
  • J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle Earth (OCs Only)
  • Men In Black (OCs Only - cameos fro CCs)
  • Roger Rabbit Tooniverse

Vanilla RP Ideas

Ideas on this post will be mostly vanilla, with a heavy story bias and little to no violence. Note that BDSM is often optional, but if on this post, will be a low priority option to include if desired.

All ideas are spoilered, and all MAY be NSFW. Proceed at your own discretion.

Genius!

Genres: Romance, College/University, possible bullying, possible BDSM. Mismatched couple. Slow-burn

Setting: Present Day, a university that is on a par with the Ivy League, MIT, Oxford UK and Cambridge UK. Can be anywhere in the world, can be fictional. Doesn't even have to be named.

Characters:

My character is an 18-year-old prodigy, with an IQ of 199.8 on the scale that goes from 1 to 200. On other scales, she has mapped out at 300 and 500. She already has two bachelor degrees in Pure Maths and Pure Physics, has just finished her Masters in Applied Physics and is waiting for the results, while already working on her Doctorate in Applied Astrophysics. So yeah, basically she's a Rocket Scientist, in every meaning of the term. She is a total geek's geek and is at Uni on a full scholarship from NASA.

However, her interpersonal skills are zero. She is actually mildly autistic (something that often goes with high IQ) and has difficulty understanding people, or even recognising people, as faces often look the same to her. She has absolutely no idea what sex even is, but is not asexual, nor even aromantic. Demisexual is probably closest.

Your Character can basically be whoever you want, as long as she's reasonably pretty, and has a reason to be a freshman at a top-flight university. She is definitely lesbian but may only now be coming out. Some suggestions:

  • A jockette, there on a sports scholarship
  • A Queen Bee, beautiful and popular
  • A bully, looking for someone to do her assignments
  • A "Princess" - cruising through on Daddy's (or Mummy's) money
  • A foreign student, from an overseas royal family, (a literal Princess) incognito.
  • A "Poor little rich girl", daddy has money, but she wants nothing to do with it.
Or anything else you think will work...

Story:

My character somehow gets paired up with yours. I would rather they weren't roommates, but maybe m/c has to do a non-academic subject like some sort of art class, or take a sport, to fulfil the university's requirements for her scholarship, so while she is working with post-grad students and research students in her actual subjects, in the one class/activity she has to join in with the other freshmen.

So the two have to work together, and get to know each other and romance blossoms (as unlikely as that may be). All the while, m/c is working on some secret project that has to do with her doctorate, but she refuses to discuss it with anyone except the head of the physics faculty.

Seduction on the Orient Express

Genres: Historical, Age Gap, Seduction, Loss of innocence

Setting: The mid to late 1920, Europe, specifically the Orient Express, heading from Paris to Vienna via Strasbourg and Munich. (Note - this is the original route and still runs as a scheduled overnight train from Strasbourg to Vienna)

Characters:
  • Character A is a young, innocent woman of 18, probably the daughter of nouveau riche parents. She is on her way to an exclusive finishing school in Vienna, where she will earn how to be "A Lady".
  • Character B is a Woman of the World, in her late 20s or early 30s. She is well travelled, speaks many languages, and is on her way to Vienna to take up a teaching post
  • Purely by the most random coincidence, both characters will have the same surname

Plot:

There has been a terrible mix-up. Remember that this is before computers and printers. Reservations were made by hand in a ledger, and tickets written out by hand and posted. So it wasn't really anyone's fault that character A and character B ended up both booked into the same compartment in one of the luxury sleeper cars for the overnight trip across Europe. Of course, by the time they realise this, it's too late to do anything about it.

The train is fully booked, and there are no empty berths available, and anyway the train is pulling out of the Gare De L'Est and doesn't stop again until it reaches Strasbourg.

Well, the two women agree that their only option is to share the compartment, and the conductor agrees to refund both their fares. The older woman then treats the younger to dinner in the restaurant car, and takes her back to their compartment...

Notes:

I will play either character. This is NOT the Venice-Simplon Orient Express made infamous by Agatha Christie's novel. It is the more northerly original route through Southern Germany.

WORMHOLE

Genres: Science Fiction, Romance. Just a hint of paranormal

Setting: The not too distant future (or even the present), a secret laboratory somewhere that no-one would expect a secret laboratory to be located. I have a few ideas, but would love to read yours? The laboratory is jointly owned and staffed by NASA, the ESA, JAXA (ジャクサ) and Роскосмос. Note that this setting will, in about 300–500 years, become "The Galactic Empire". (Link to come)

Characters:
  • Character 1 is a scientist, physicist, nuclear partical physicist, astrophysicist, mathematician... Pick one or any combination or maybe all of them. She is working on the top secret Opisthopora programme, and is one of the top brains behind the project. She also objects to the name, which was suggested by someone from NASA security with a weird sense of humour.
  • Character 2 is someone utterly insignificant working in the secret lab. She has top level clearance because everyone who works there has top level clearance. She's probably an electrician, or the woman who brings the tea trolley round to the offices. But there is something special about her. She has a weird way of always turning up when needed, always picking winners (though never at long odds, and usually once the race has started), and never looking before crossing a street.
I would prefer to play character 2, but I don't mind playing character 1, if it means the story gets written.

Story:

This is the story of the most influential and important discovery to mankind since, possibly, the wheel. It is the story of The Tangle Drive. (Link to come)

Character one and a group of scientists from around the globe have managed to isolate and generate the graviton. This is a wave/particle quantum event, similar to a photon, but while a photon is a quantum event of light, the graviton is (you guessed it) the quantum event of gravity.

They have successfully avoided creating an artificial black hole and sucking us all in (which we would never know about because of time dilation), and have launched a satellite into orbit that fires a concentrated burst of the particle/waves out in the direction of Jupiter.

And Character 1's theory was proved right, they have successfully opened a hole in space, that appears to be heading in the general direction of Jupiter.

They don't know how far it goes, though, because so far every probe they have sent down it has disappeared, stopped transmitting, just ... vanished, a short way into the wormhole.

They are on the verge of giving up, when Character 2 puts in an appearance and makes a suggestion: "Have you tried steering them?"

Mage University

Genre: Fantasy, Students, Romance, possible BDSM.

Setting: The Mage University in the kingdom of [name TBD] - a powerful kingdom in a world where magic is common. The world has a tech-level of around the 12 to 14th century, except that there are analogues for modern day high-tech except they use magic instead of science

Background: In this world, magic is something that is everywhere, part of the very fabric of the world. It's available to everyone to use in the same way as music, language or mathematics. And yes, I do mean in the same way... Just as most people can be taught to read, to play "Chopsticks" and to do basic adding up, so most people can be taught to cast simple spells like starting a fire, casting light, drawing water. But just as not everyone is Beethoven, Einstein or Shakespeare, so not everyone in this world can qualify as a mage. Most people simply don't have the talent for it, and while money can buy a better education in the magical arts, those with real skill have to be spotted and nurtured from an early age so that their talents mature correctly.

History is littered with the corpses of those who died because a magical talent was not correctly educated and turned wild.

There are three types of magic in the world:

Ethereal Magic is the sort that is available to anyone. The Ether is the medium of magic, it permeates everything (Kind of like The Force in Star Wars), and those with sufficient knowledge can manipulate it,
Elemental magic is the next level up. Some people have a strong link to one of the five elements - Fire, Water, Air, Stone and Wood. The elements form a circle where each is the natural enemy of the one preceding it Water extinguishes Fire, Air displaces water, Stone displaces Air, Wood breaks Stone and Fire burns Wood. Elemental magic gives the mage the ability to use the Ether to directly manipulate their element. So a fire elemental can control fire, an air elemental can create wind, etc... Elemental mages are often accused of being tainted with elven blood.
Familiar Magic is the most powerful of all. Familiars are of necessity bound to a controller mage. A familiar will always have the ability to shape-shift, but they are genetically human - although some say there is demon blood in most of them somewhere. Their shape-shifting ability depends upon how powerful they are, and it is something that is usually taught to them. Familiar mages are the ones most likely to go rogue and start using wild magic for evil purposes. Controller Mages are usually common Ethereal Mages, often not especially talented themselves, but always strong-willed and big-hearted. It takes a strong will to control a wild Familiar, and it takes a big heart to love one. And yes, the relationship between familiar and controller is physical and loving. Usually.

Familiar/Elemental Bondings are rare but do happen. When they do, the result is an exceptionally powerful pair, capable of great things.

Characters: Two student mages
  • A first year student from a poor family who is really surprised at having been offered a scholarship at the university. She has excelled in her Ethereal magic classes, and her teachers suspect she has an undiscovered link to an element.
  • A first year student from a wealthy family, her tuition paid for by her parents. She's a bit of a spoiled brat, used to getting what she wants and if she doesn't get what she wants bad things often happen. She's clearly a budding Familiar, and a controller is needed for her as soon as possible.
Story:

So yes, it's a classic hate-at-first-sight thing. Our two gals encounter each other, hate each other and very quickly develop a bond that goes deeper than either of them realise until they try and go their separate ways and realise that they can't live without each other. (Exactly how and when this happens we can work out as we go). So obviously the poor girl ends up as the rich girl's controller, learns how to use and channel the Familiar's power and shape it using her own Elemental power, the two of them obviously have sex and realise that actually they have a really deep love/hate for each other.

And then the fun starts... because while all this has been going on, an untrained mage has been setting him/herself up in a nicely convenient area of wilderness beyond the kingdom's borders and just as our pair are about to graduate, this nasty Mage decides to strike at the kingdom with their army of nastiness, which quickly defeats the good guys' army and of course it's down to our girls to save the kingdom!

Notes: I will play either role. The roles can be reversed, so the familiar is on the scholarship and the Mage is the over-privileged bitch.

Savanna

1756067613525.png

Genres: Historical, Action/Adventure, slice-of-life. Romance!

Setting: East Africa (probably Kenya or Tanganyika), some time between 1890 and 1914.

Characters:
  • A journalist, artist, scientist, naturalist or anything else ending with -ist that would have been around at the time, on a visit to British East Africa, for the purposes of furthering their career. (I would prefer you to play this character).
  • An experienced colonial woman, born and raised in the Savanna, hired by the whatever-ist as a guide and bodyguard. (I would prefer to play this character).
Story:

Your character is a Western woman. She can be from anywhere North of the 30°N line of latitude (And yes, I'm aware that excludes Florida and Texas. Those places are too close to the tropics to have the desired effect!) And she is, as already stated, something ending with -ist. Exactly what, is entirely your choice, but it must be something that gives her an excuse for heading to Africa by herself, to study, write, paint, collect, whatever.

Because she wants to feel things more in their natural state, she has declined to go on an organised safari, instead engaging the services of a single local guide. This is my character. Because it's just the two of them, she felt it would be less scandalous to engage a female guide rather than a male.

The story should start with m/c meeting y/c in Mombasa.

So, the two of them set off into the interior on horseback, with a couple of packhorses as well...

Of course m/c will save y/c from lions, crocodiles, snakes, and natives, and all the while learn to appreciate whatever it is that y/c is doing. And with Africa being such a romantic place, of course they fall in love under the Big Sky

1756067769163.jpeg
Genre: Paranormal, Romance, Gambling, Crime, Slice-of-Life

Setting: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Characters:

Your character is a dealer/croupiers/security person in a small casino. She makes enough on tips to get by, because her pay is not as good as you might think. And she's fed up, and getting greedy.
My character is a young woman just turned 21, visiting "Sin City" for the first time. She's here with a friend/relative who is eloping. And she has a very unusual talent that she has, so far, managed to keep secret. She can see the future - usually just a few seconds, but sometimes if there's something particularly important on the horizon, she can see anything up to a day or two.

Story:

Well, this should be reasonably obvious. We have an unscrupulous dealer who wants to get rich quick, we have an innocent young woman who can see what will happen a few seconds ahead, and we have a lot of games of chance where if people make the right call they stand to win a lot of money.

What do you think will happen?

Well here's my idea: M/c wanders into y/c's casino, and starts playing various games, starts to win big. Y/c notices and takes an interest, trying to see how she's doing it. M/c realises she's attracting attention and suddenly looses most of what she won, keeping just enough to buy herself a meal.

Y/c doesn't loose interest, but instead contacts m/c and asks her how she did it. M/c is forced to reveal her secret, and y/c comes up with a plot to win big money and retire to the Cayman Islands (or somewhere similar).

Whether they get away with it, remains to be seen.

Notes:

I've tried to write this a few times. Some times the other person vanished, some times they took the story in a ridiculous direction. I'd like someone who is going to take this idea seriously.
My character is not unique, but she is very rare. Paranormal talents are real, but the chances of two people with similar talents meeting are about the same as having a meteorite land at your feet. (Except, possibly, in Las Vegas, which is the sort of place such people might gravitate to...)
Your character is sceptical of m/c's talent at first.
Please please please, take the casino role seriously? Most dealers wear waistcoats or the female equivalent, not fancy Elizabethan outfits.
Y/c is perfectly normal and does not have any psychic powers.

1756068050856.jpeg

Genres:

Romance, Slow-Burn, Forbidden Romance. Semi-historical

Setting:

The 1980s, a small island somewhere in the North Atlantic. The island has a single town on it (if you can call it a town) that is the fishing port, and community centre. With the decline of the fishing industry, there is a lot of unemployment and rural depopulation as people head to the mainland looking for work.

Characters:
  • Character 1 is a visitor to the island. She is something of a Yuppie, wealthy by the standards of the day (pre lottery). She's suffered from burn-out in her high-pressure job and has taken a hiatus, getting about as far away from the city she works in as it is possible to get. She is openly gay but has had a string of failed relationships and unhappy break-ups. She is in her mid to late 20s.
  • Character 2 is a local. She is the daughter of a local important person, maybe the hotelier or inn-keeper, or the town mayor, or police chief, she could even be the daughter of the (protestant) priest. She is a closet lesbian. She knows she is interested in girls, not boys. She lives in a small and parochial community, where there are are about a hundred people scattered across the island in total and half of them over 50, and about half living in the one "town", so everyone knows everyone else's business. She has so far managed to keep her sexual orientation a secret, claiming none of the (very few) young men on the island are attractive to her (which is true). She is in her late teens or early 20s and has been looking for a way to get off the island since she learned that there was actually a world beyond the heaving grey sea.
Story:

The main romance story-line should be reasonably obvious: The two girls meet, fall in love and live happily ever after. But there's a lot more to this that that. Character 1 is exhausted, tired of fucked-up relationships and not even thinking about a relationship. She just wants to relax and enjoy the scenery. Character 2 is shy and reserved and doesn't want t be "outed", having seen what happened to a boy a few years older. They should meet in the course of C2 performing some duty at the behest of her parent(s). C1 realises that C2 is as lonely as she is, and approaches C2's parent(s) to see if she can employ the girl on a casual basis as a guide and helper.

They soon become friends, but although love soon blossoms in both their hearts, neither is willing to admit it even to themselves. C1 will at some point have to go back to the city on the mainland, and doesn't want to get involved with someone just to break her heart, while C2 is more worried about the possibility of being disowned, cast out and forced to beg for food and live in one of the caves, although she realises it's far more likely that she would be forcibly married to someone.

Things change when C1 learns what property prices are like on the island - basically for the price of her city apartment she could buy every house on the island and have some left over for furniture! So she pays cash for a cottage and sets about doing it up as a holiday home.

When C1 moves out of the hotel, C2 is worried that she won't see C1 as often, but instead they spend more time together, The declaration of affection should be something accidental, some bit of good news causing them to hug, and kiss, just on the spurr of the moment, whereupon they realise that they can't fight their feelings any more.

After this come the regrets and the repercussions, and the difficult decisions...

Notes:
  • I will play either character.
  • The island is somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic and has changed hands a number of times over the centuries. Exactly who owns it now depends upon who plays which character and the nationality of your character. I'm thinking it could be part of the UK, part of Canada or even part of Denmark or Iceland.
  • The picture above is of Castlebay on the Outer Hebridean island of Barra. This island is a lot closer to Scotland than my fictional island would be if it were part of Scotland, but the island of Boreray, in the St Kilda group, which is about the size and location I'm thinking of, is uninhabited. The Change Islands off Newfoundland, Canada, would work as they have a population of a little over 200.
  • Partly inspired by the movie "Local Hero".

Road Trip

Genre: Slice Of Life, Road Trip, Romance. First Person.

Setting: Present Day, UK and Europe

Characters:
  • My character has just realised her dream of buying herself a brand new 1800cc Honda Goldwing motorcycle, and is setting off on a road trip to "get away from it all.
  • Your character must be a hitch-hiker, that m/c sees on the side of the road and offers a ride to.
Story:

The general idea is that y/c is hitch-hiking around Europe. Starting in the UK. M/c sees y/c on the side of the road and stops to offer her a ride. M/c will have a spare helmet in her top box, for the simple reason that she has a spare open face helmet, as it's always advisable to have one with you on a long trip. The two of them get on really well and stay together as they journey around Europe. With the obligatory sex scene happening at some point, the obligatory falling out and making up scene, and everything else that goes to make a great road-trip scenario.

Out Of This World

Genre: Science Fiction, Romance, "Road Trip" - Space-opera style, Rite of Passage, Self Discovery.

Setting: The Galactic Empire (link to be supplied) - Or similar setting. Initially on a backwater agrarian colony planet, less than 50 years old, still looking to achieve "World" status, with a parochial and conservative population. After this the setting moves on to an interstellar cargo ship, and visits any number of worlds.

Characters:
  • Character A is a country girl, born on the colony world. She has the wanderlust. She knows that there is a lot more out there than this one small backwater of the galaxy that doesn't even have a T-Gate and is reliant on once weekly visits by various T-Ships.
  • Character B is either the captain of a T-Ship or a crew member. (For reasons I will explain if required she cannot be the T-pilot or T-Nav, but could be the RS-Pilot or Astrogator. ... Unless A is a precog and B is the T-Pilot, and her own T-Pilot has just been killed. Will explain if needed.)
Side Characters:
  • Character A's parents, Siblings and fiancé.
  • Character B's crew.
Story:
This is probably going to be fairly obvious, but I'll tell it anyway... Character A is longing to get away from home, find some way of getting off this backwater. Not only does she feel stifled by the drudgery of farm-work on this world that has reverted to a technology level somewhere like that of the 18th Century (with certain exceptions like plumbing, medicine, and lighting... TBC), but she is also totally unattracted to men, finds women to be very sexy, and knows that if she stays on-world she will be expected to marry and pop out babies at the rate of one every two (local) years.

So she runs away from home. But on a world there the population can be numbered in tens of thousands across the whole planet, there's not exactly anywhere to hide...

Until she meets Character B.

Running The Country

UK Variant

Genres: Romance, Politics, Forbidden Love

Setting: The UK shortly after the next (or next but one or...) general election.

Characters:
  • My character is The Right Honourable Ms Charlotte Western MP, Member for Ilfracomb, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party and recently elected by a miraculous landslide into Number 10 Downing Street.
  • Your Characteris one of four things:
    1. She can be a newly elected back bencher who gets chosen as Personal Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime minister
    2. She can be a junior civil servant (or possibly a subcontracted cleaner, whatever) working at Number 10, or at Checkers
    3. She can be a junior attaché at a foreign embassy in London.
    4. she can be a random person, possibly a foreign student, who accidentally finds herself swept up in the security cordon and has absolutely no idea what is going on.
Story:
This rather depends on your character, but one way or another the two meet, fall in love and ultimately get married. With 1 and 2 obviously y/c will know who m/c is, but with 3 and 4, she doesn't necessarily need to know.

Notes:
  • For options 1 and 2 you may need to have a decent idea of how the British government works. For options 3 and 4, you probably don't, but will need some knowledge of how things work over here in general. For 3, you may need to research how your country's London Embassy works.
  • Your character will need to have a thing for older women

Running The Country

US Variant

Genres: Romance, Politics, Forbidden Love

Setting: The USA shortly after the next (or next but one or...) presidential election.

Characters:
  • Your character is the newly inaugurated first ever female president of the USA. Pretty obviously she'll be a Democrat. She's also the first gay president!
  • My Character is a junior attaché to the British Ambassador to the United States Of America.
  • (None of the other options would work, because I'm British).
Story:
Some sort of political crisis brings the British Ambassador to the White House at a ridiculous time in the morning (a normal time back in Britain but he's in Washington DC, 5 hours behind). The only aid he could find was a junior on the night staff (m/c). She's a bit of a klutz, and while running an errand bumps into a really charming and attractive older lady. (y/c). M/c doesn't watch the news and has no idea who y/c is...

TIME
COPS

Genres: Sci-Fi, Historical, Time Travel, Crime.

Setting: Quite literally anywhere, anywhen.

Characters: My character is a member of the International Temporal Enforcement Patrol (ITEP), commonly known as ... Well you've already guessed that correctly, plus the sign up there is a bit of a give-away... Your character can be be any of the following:

  • M/C's long standing partner
  • A rookie ITEPO assigned to m/c on the rookie's first mission
  • A homeless teenager from the 20th or 21st century who has learned M/C's secret and insists on going with her.
  • A reformed Temporal Crook who has settled down and now acts as m/c's informant
  • The villain that M/C is trying to catch - This is my least favourite because there would be very little interaction.
The one in bold is my favourite.

Story: M/C is pursuing a criminal through time. Y/c is either helping, hindering, or being pursued, depending. My preferred option has y/c witness m/c arrive through the time slip and alter her clothing to match whatever period y/c is from, then head off to track down a TiCro (Time Crook) (Or TimCrim, either will do). Y/C follows, ends up getting caught up in whatever the crook is doing (TBD), and then is somehow (again TBD) instrumental in preventing the crime, she then insists on going with m/c, as she has absolutely nothing to live for in the present. She can even take a flying leap at M/C as she is about to return to the future and get caught in the time slip.

Time Travel:

We all know that time travel is perfectly feasible, right? After all we're all travelling forward through time at the rate of 60 seconds per minute...!

So in this particular universe I'm going to quote the late, great Douglas Adams:

"One of the major problems encountered in time travel is not that of accidentally becoming your own father or mother. There is no problem involved in becoming your own father or mother that a broad-minded and well-adjusted family can't cope with. There is also no problem about changing the course of history- the course of history does not change because it all fits together like a jigsaw. All the important changes have happened before the things they were supposed to change and it all sorts itself out in the end."

The work of the ITEP is not to ensure that history doesn't get changed. The facts are as they are and if you go back in time to try and assassinate Hitler, you will fail, either as one of the 22 documented failed attempts on Hitler's life, or as one of the unknown and unrecorded number of undocumented failed attempts. Your attempt to change the outcome of the US Civil War is foiled by an earth tremor collapsing the disused mineshaft where you'd hidden the fifty crates of AK47s... And your attempt to disprove the resurrection of Jesus by stealing his body and producing it the next day is foiled by the fact that the body is already gone when you get there, and worse, the disciples mistake you for an angel!

No, the work of the ITEP is actually to pursue, track down and apprehend (or terminate if apprehension is not possible) criminals who have fled through time in the hope of escaping justice. The ITEP actually consists of two Divisions: The Static Division, which stays in the future and tracks the temporal disturbances caused by time travellers. Time Travel is highly regulated and controlled, and time tourism is only permitted by licenced parties, mostly due to the events at the Crucifixion of Jesus where the entire crowd was composed of Devout Catholics reciting the Passiontide litany. History wasn't changed, as such, because the events happened exactly as recorded, it's just that ... It could have happened differently, and we'll never know!

But obviously what man has built once man can build again, and unlicensed time machines keep popping up. The Static Division's secondary job is to track them down and destroy or impound them, as well as their primary role of tracing all time slips, and monitoring the number of people going back and returning on the authorised trips.

The Field Division Officers get to go back in time to find the individuals that use unlicensed machines (those that survive the trip - no-one said time travel was safe!) and those who try and slip away from authorised parties.

Time Travel to the future is possible, but everyone who has attempted it so far has found the ITEP(SD) or equivalent waiting for them on arrival...

Time machines come in various sizes and configurations, and most resemble the sort of thing that 1980s sci-fi would have predicted they look like...

You can only remain in the past for a limited time, but that doesn't stop people trying. After a while the body starts to experience withdrawal symptoms from all the various things it's addicted to in the 22nd century that most people aren't even aware of, and also the body gets invaded by bacteria, viruses and parasites that have been eradicated in the 22nd century. All authorised time travellers have a recall device often worn as a bracelet or collar, sometimes a belt or piece of jewellery. Those officers being sent to more dangerous periods of history like the Napoleonic era, the Inquisition, the 2nd or 3rd world wars may have the device implanted under their skin somewhere so that it cannot be removed. The device can be activated manually or it will activate automatically after a set time interval. It will always return the traveller to the start point.

ITEP Field Officers usually carry some extra recall devices (RDs or Rec-Devs) that they attach to fugitives and activate, sending the fugitive back to where they belong, to face justice!

It is, of course, best practice to arrive in and leave from a time and place where one will not be observed.

You'll Never Walk Alone

Genres: Romance, Disability, Triumph over misfortune, Age Difference, Slow Burn, Possible Incest, Possible Forbidden Romance, Sensitive Subject

Setting: Anywhere, Present Day.

Characters:
  • My character is a bisexual widow aged between 25 and 50. Exactly how old she is doesn't really matter. What does matter is that about 6 months ago she was involved in a road accident that killed her husband and left her paralysed from the hips down. She has regained feeling in her legs and feet and has some movement in her hips, but her legs are completely immobile.
  • Your character can be one of a number of options (in order of preference):
    • My character's adult daughter
    • My Character's younger sister, niece or other younger relative.
    • A full-time care-giver
    • A concerned neighbour
    • My Character's best friend

Story:
Following the accident, m/c's life insurance amd health insurance paid out, as did the insurance on the mortgage (joint life first death) and car. Not only that but she successfully sued the (drunk) driver of the other vehicle (a truck) and his employer (for letting him drive in that condition). The money went to remodelling her home to allow her to led as normal a life as possible from a wheelchair.

Your character has pretty much supervised the restructuring and has moved in (at least for now) to be there while m/c settles in.

The fact that y/c is going to have to do a lot to assist m/c and is definitely going to see her naked, causes strange feelings within y/c because (and I know you guessed this) she's a lesbian. The resulting (forbidden) romance leaves m/c with a reason to keep going.

Notes:

This is a sensitive subject and should be handled as such. That's not to say that there can't be humour, both light and dark. But overall the subject is one that could be considered disrespectful if not treated with appropriate sensitivity. As such there will be no BDSM, and the characters will not just "Hop into bed" together. In fact the sexual relationship should be almost accidental in the way it starts.

The title is the name of a song by Gerry And The Pacemakers, that was adopted many decades ago as the Anthem of Liverpool Football Club. Listening to it still reminds me of the Hillsborough stadium disaster, and the memorial service held for the Liverpool fans that died that day.

Of course the bitter irony in the title is that the character will never walk again, alone or otherwise. This is intentionally ironic.

Genres: Romance, Slice-Of-Life, Adventure, Survival. (Most likely historical, but could be present day, or could even be Sci-Fi)

Setting: A remote island somewhere tropical. Most likely in the late 19th or early 20th century, before satellites had mapped the entire world. Or it could be present day, or possibly a planet somewhere in the galaxy with very little land mass.

Characters:

  • Character A is a new arrival to this island in the middle of nowhere. How she got there can be discussed - washed overboard during a storm, or survivor of a shipwreck are the most likely. She could have been dumped there by pirates. Or she could be the survivor of a plane crash (light aircraft), or even have had her escape pod captured by the planet's gravity...
  • Character B can be one of a number of things:
    • a fellow survivor from the same ship, aircraft or spacecraft;
    • The pilot of the aircraft (note: A is not the pilot. That just swaps A and B);
    • The survivor of a previous shipwreck/plane crash/spacecraft crash;
    • Previously left by pirates;
    • A native, who has her own reason for being alone on the island.
Story:

The story starts with A waking up on the beach after a nightmare of a previous day during which she was pretty sure she would die. She finds herself on a desert island and begins to think about which records she would have chosen look for ways to survive.

While exploring her island in true "Robinson Crusoe" style, she spots a set of footprints that are not her own, and (of course) encounters B.

The story then revolves around their interpersonal dramas as they battle the hostile elements and either settle down to a life of tranquillity, find buried treasure, are rescued, build a raft, or any combination...

Notes:
  • If set present day (or future) there will be a reason that no-one knows where they are - obviously mobile phones and salt water do not make good companions, but it could also be that the ship/boat/air craft, spaceship has a faulty navigation system so the search party are looking in totally the wrong place.
  • If B was there already she would most likely have constructed a shelter and have survived for however long
  • Storms, Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Tsunami, dangerous animals and inedible plants may put in an appearance at any time to add drama
  • The ending is open for discussion
  • If B is a native, her reason for being alone on the island will not be revealed until late in the story.
  • If Sci-Fi, B could be a Bruth^ie.
  • I will play either character.

The Debutante and The Delinquent
Genres: Slice Of Life, Romance, Mismatched Couple, Rite Of Passage, Sexual discovery. Possible BDSM

Setting: Present Day, Anywhere.

Characters:
  • The Delinquent; A high-school drop-out, tough as they come, lives with her mother as her father is in prison. Not especially attractive, could be punk.
  • The Debutante; Daughter of a wealthy society couple, is expected to go to an Ivy-League (or equivalent) university, marry and have at least one child. Is definitely on this years "Most Eligible Bachelorettes" list. Classically beautiful.
Story:

They went to the same school, of course. The Deb despised the the Del for her lack of class, refusal to learn, lack of style and social graces. The Del despised the Derb for her upper-class snobbishness, holier-than-thou attitude and money. And then of course the Delinquent ... "Dropped out". Or more accurately, was expelled.

It's now a year (or two?) later, and the Deb is havng her "Coming Out" party - No, not coming out of the closet, Coming Out into Society. The delinquent, meanwhile. has a minimum wage job working for a catering company, doing scutwork. And of course as a story has to happen, no mattter how contrived, the company the delinquent is working for is doing the catering for the party...

What happens next is open to discussion, but my thoughts are that the debutante is trying to get away from some sleezy guy who is following her around, and she just happens to try and hide in the back area, just as the Delinquent is taking out the rubbish, and she hates to see men mistreating women so she scares the guy off.

Take it from there...

Notes: I will play either character. I have a slight preference for the Delinquent, but only slight.

Voyage Of A Lifetime

Genres: Slice Of Life, Forbidden Romance, Age Difference, Luxury Travel, Ocean Cruise, Seduction, Slow Burn

Setting: Present Day. A Luxury Cruise Liner

Characters:
  • Character A is a mature lady somewhere between 40 and 70. Her exact age can be discussed. She is single and on a cruise to spend some money, live a little and experience the finer things in life. Her sexual orientation will be decided, but she's not 100% straight.
  • Character B is a teenage girl, or young woman, between 18 and 21. She is single and is travelling with her parents, who are taking her on a cruise as a reward for [some big achievement]. Her sexuality will also be decided, but again, she's not 100% straight.
Side Characters:
  • The girl's parents
  • The ship's Captain
  • The Room Maid
  • Other crew members at random
  • Other passengers at random
The story:

The girl's parents had a cabin with a decent view that isn't down by the engines and is on the outside of the ship. They have managed to get their daughter into the next cabin along. Quite by chance (because otherwise there would be no story, ha ha), the older lady is in the cabin on the far side of the girl's from her parents.

And the two cabins have a connecting door for some reason.

Obviously the two meet up and somehow become friends, then lovers, over the course of the cruise. Added drama because they need to keep the relationship secret from the parents.

Notes:
  • I will play either character
  • Which character seduces the other we can decide.
  • Obviously one of them is gay, the other could be bi-curious or Heteronormative.
  • The cruise can be whatever we fancy. Caribbean, Mediterranean, Scandinavian, Indian Ocean, Pacific or "Round The World". Or suggest one I haven't mentioned.

The Emissary

Genres: Sci-Fi Espionage, Forbidden Romance, Interspecies sex, Interstellar diplomacy.

Setting: The Galactic Empire, (Link to come) An alien civilization recently contacted by the empire.

Characters:
  • My Character is the daughter of one of the most powerful men in the empire, the Imperial Council representative for Eurasia. She is trained as both spy and diplomat, and has been despatched to the alien capital to learn as much as she can, and at the same time establish friendly diplomatic relations.
  • Your character is the daughter of the most powerful person in the alien civilization. She can me whatever sort of creature you like, as long as she is obviously female and vaguely humanoid.
Story:

My character arrives on y/c's home planet, met with due ceremony. She is met by y/c and escorted to her quarters, the two are about the same age, not necessarily physically, but in terms of maturity and pretty soon realise that they have a lot in common. Not the least being the child of an important and powerful person. (Alliteration not intended!)

Which one of them initiates the sexual relationship is something we can decide, as is the other's reaction to it. Obviously, this generates some diplomatic friction...

Side-notes:

There is a stealthed task-force of Imperial Marines just inside the tanglesphere of the star system, able to come in and rescue m/c in a few hours should things go horribly wrong. Let's keep them there, unless we think the story itself would benefit from military intervention.

The Galactic Empire's technology is superior in many ways, but not in all ways. This is open for discussion.

Please read the World-Building thread linked above.

The actual story is not decided beyond the start, and can go wherever we want!
