Travis was both eager and frightened to attend the dance it was not the camp activity he expected at all. The tables in the dinning hall were already in storage leaving a large area for dinning and small dark areas for other unofficial dance activities. “Come on you know they all want you” His best friend, declared the moment he stepped of the bus. Tyler was one of those guys with one thing on his mind.

“I know but come on there camp girls how good can they be” Eric began to bark from some reason Travis had a stomach ache. Maybe he would just sit in a corner with his cousin at least he would know someone. He had no idea what she looked like it was years since they last came over for a holiday. He smiled the only girl that had been nice to him or at least that’s the way he remembered it.

“Look you two don’t make me look bad” He felt more like a zoo keeper then a student at least his cousin would be a island of insanity. Slowly he left for the kitchen to pick out the music better make sure there’s no slow songs he though.

"Shut up, Chissy." The blonde snapped to her best friend as the two walked from their cabin to the hall where they would be having the dance.

"Shut up, Jude." Chissy nearly sang. The two girls walked side by side with their arms threaded through the other. Chissy was five feet four inches tall, three inches shorter than the blonde, with light red hair that curled all around her head in wild curls. That didn't stop her from being pretty, but if anyone were asked who of the two was the prettiest, they wouldn't hesitate to say "Jude"

"He's hot though, right, Jude?" Chissy asked. "Your cousin? Of course he's hot. Every guy in your family is hot." Jude was the typical girl next door, five seven, with long wavy dark blonde hair that mixed bother her father's German heritage and her mothers Hispanic. She had dark skin and the most intriguing brown eyes.

"I haven't seen him in years, Chiss." Jude said, shaking her head as they neared the building. Still, she remembered having fun talking to him years before. But people changed. People could change week from week, it had been too long to say for sure anything about him.

"Well, he'd better be. I'm dressed cute for him." She complained. They were each wearing plaid mini-skirts that were red and black, while Jude had taken on a black and red tank-top, Chissy had gone for a red halter that revealed about everything. Jude didn't get why she thought she should show everything.

Before they got to the building, Jude stopped them both so that they could fix their thigh high silk stockings, Jude's red Chissy's black. Then, they walked inside.

The camp was old school, shocking nothing but records. Blowing off dust he wondered who bought this music because the principal of his old school would have loved it. His eyes fell on a group of girls who seemed more interested in the guys at the dance then the aging decorations. One caught his eye in particulars she was blone tall for a ggirl and had curves in all the places magazines liked to put them. “Cousin” Quickly he wrapped her up in a big hug his family was never one to suppress there emotions.

She looked very different, but so did he growing a few inches as he worked on a ranch quickly made him into the spitting image of his father. He had raven black hair with dark blue eyes and a innocent looking face that said I bite back.

“You look good cousin” he smiled giving her friends a look. He was here to have fun. Considering what passed for food and music girls would be the only upside at the party. Still felt out of place in his white t-shirt and blue jeans looking like some bill board cowboy.

“So which one of you want a dance” he asked being a boy of the country he was not one to play games. He smiled wondering which one of his cousins friends would take him up on his offer. Still he hoped or rather prayed to get a chance to talk to his cousin some more.

Jude watched the group of boys and smiled. Instantly she recognized her cousin, because he looked like her uncle. When the cowboy took her into a hug, the blonde returned the hug gladly. "Travis." She said happily.

When she was put back down, Chissy whispered "I knew he'd be a babe." Before stepping forward. "I'd love to dance." She said to the boy, playfully pushing Jude aside. The blonde pouted playfully and looked at her cousin's friends.

"Who wants to dance with me?" She asked, eying all of them in turn.

There are not a lot of girls on the ranch if you don’t count the mares, and at times he was sorely tempted to count them. “Sure you know how to do the boot scoot right” he teased knowing a lot of city folk did not know how to dance. She was something, she seemed like an Irish pole cat but in a good way. Finding a spot near the door he waited for something to play that he could dance to, or at least move enough to appear to be dancing.

He watched Tyler take his cousin to the center of the room he was not ashamed at the catch he landed himself. He had to admit if her had more courage he would have asked his cousin to dance with him. As they got close he imagined he felt a pang of jealousy until he say the girl with one finger in his chest. “Oh sorry just watching out for my cousin”

Jude looked Tyler over and smiled, putting her hand in his. She was a bit irritated that her friend had just jumped in to dance with her cousin, she'd actually been about to take him up on the offer. But, she had missed that opportunity so she would just enjoy dancing with his friend.

Once on the dance floor, Jude wrapped her arms around the guy's shoulders and smiled. "So, how long have you known Travi?" She asked curiously. She moved a few inches closer and started swaying to the music.

Chissy frowned as they just waited and Jude danced. "Let's dance." She said, pulling his shirt after his excuse. She wasn't really in the mood to be ignored by this person.

Travis was not the fastest guy when it came to anything but trucks and horses but he knew enough about girls to know when they were about to explode. “Sorry darlin kin is mighty important” placing his arm around his back he moved closer the camp councilors were picking the songs and a lot of them wanted to dance with there female counterparts. He bit his tongue, dang she was a pushy one.

Tyler was in heaven he knew he got his share of the girls as more then one got caught in the cabin after lights out. He frowned thinking what he would do to his sweet cousin if he got half the chance. “So my cosin what she like” he asked he could here Tyler talking all kinds of dirt about him. Of course most of it was about his ball handling so he did not pay much attention to what he said. Now and again he would say something nice like he was a good swimmer, right after claiming he burned down the puppy store.

Chissy shrugged as she finally got to dance a little, even if it was more to herself. She tried moving seductively. Jude didn't have to try, it was the Latino heat in her that had her moving provocatively without trying. "Jude's great. She smart, and nice. Though, she's got too big of a heart, she has a hard time telling anyone no." She told him. "Once, there was this kitten, and Jude snuck it into the cabin, brought it half of her food every meal. By the time we left camp, it weighed twice as much as when it started." The redhead laughed. "She's still got it, actually, just not at camp."

Jude laughed, not taking much of what the guy was saying seriously. "Well, Travis has always had that awful side to him." She commented jokingly. "How old are you?" She asked the boy, switching subject so that she might get some real answers.

Already he was getting kind of old for camp at 15 he seemed right in the middle of his young life maybe next time he would come back as a councilor “15 well almost” he was a full two months away not that many people counted that. He always knew his cousin was nice, she was the type that never threw rocks in case she hit a fish or bird. It was hard to focus on his dance partner, she was nice just lacking something.

“Tyler you want to switch” he whispered something in his ear that the redhead would not have wanted to hear. Tyler a man or boy who had one thing on his mind was eager to switch, and so it seemed was his cousin. The next song was a lot faster something that if one was trying to have some fun could create a lot of bumping and grinding. Taking her hand he lost track of the rest of the party, he tried to act a gentlemen of course but the song was very dancable.
