Things had changed in more ways then anyone could have expected when it came to the Island that they had landed upon. One group, Zeke's group, had gone there for knowledge. To explore the island, to learn from it, the exact opposite of Halloway's group which had gone there to exploit all of the resources the island had to offer. Even so both had ended up in the same place. A camp that had become their base of operations. Their groups had blended together well enough after time, with Halloway taking command of both groups. He wasn't the sort that would let anyone else lead, though there were times when he would defer to Zeke. Though only when the two of them were alone.
It had been two months since the group had blended together into one and everything had gotten into a pretty smooth routine by this point. To the point that things felt comfortable.
There was a group that was in charge of security, another group that did all the hunting, some did farming, and others did fishing. They had all been sorted by their skill sets and how well they could get along with their monstrous neighbors and family members.
The two that had the biggest shake up were Amuru and Connor. Amuru had returned to the group changed, as did his naga mate. The one beautiful human researcher had returned a naga himself after a week of being missing and presumed dead and the once colossal Titan was now a lot smaller then before. He was still bigger then even the biggest naga on the island but compared to how he'd once been he was much smaller. The two seemed happy together.
Then there was Connor who had fallen for his Hell Wolf lover Fang pretty quickly. He was now a father of two "pups" as Fang referred to them though they were more human then that. Two perfect little babies that had the fluffy ears and tails of their Hell Wolf parent. They were resting with their omega mother at the moment in the tall grass near the tent that was their home. The grass was tall enough that unless you knew where to find them they were concealed from sight.
Savage, Connor's other Hell Wolf companion, had received his new prosthetic and was getting better at using it. Even with it he couldn't return to the hunt but he was able to patrol for show periods of time. At present he was at rest, keeping an eye on Fang and his "pups" while Connor was away hunting with the rest of the hunting team. A team that consisted of Connor, Wallace, Dart, and Junsei. There were a few others that joined them from time to time but that was the core of the group now that Fang was no longer able to go out on hunts.
There were others that were getting closer and closer in their relationships, such as Doc and Ryker, or Angel who was following around a giant Chimera these days like a duckling. Halloway had convinced Angel that now that he'd been "reborn" that he had been given a new life to live by God himself. It didn't take much for the religious minded boy to completely buy. He was still worried over becoming a sinner again but at least he was giving himself a chance at a life instead of being certain that he was unworthy of such things.
Now if only he could get Red and Alexios figured out Halloway found himself thinking as he went over some of the plans for the next big move they were meaning to make. The tents were nice and all but they would require real, permanent housing sooner then later. Especially now that some of their people were settling down and having families.
He was in the middle of that when someone came hurrying over to him. A brightly colored figure that always grated on his nerves. The red dragon, Ruby. An obnoxious flirt that was open to flirting with anyone or anything with a pulse. He'd chased him off from several of his people already, demanding that he "fuck off" and find someone else to bother. Something that had only seemed to amuse the dragon further somehow...
"Halloway! Have you seen Fu'rei?"
"Hm? The Pigeon Prince wandered off?" He asked, only half seeming to care about the fact that the little phoenix brat had wandered off, "I'm sure that he's with Alexios."
Ruby shook his head, "Alexios is with Nik fishing! The Prince isn't with him."
Halloway gave a sigh then told him, "I will ask some of the others. I'm sure he's somewhere." He told the dragon, heading out to find some of the others. He was sure that the Pigeon was with one member of the group or another. He tended to stick to Alexios and Nik a lot but not always. He really could be anywhere.
