sorry, this thread isn't going to be very pretty. i have already spent far too much of my life making egregiously fancy gaiaonline threads! howdy, i'm mt. saint helens, but you can call me whatever you want i'm not attached to any particular name.
here's the quick (or maybe not so quick) n' easy:
(oh my god that wasn't anywhere near as short as i'd thought it'd be i am so sorry.)
general:
- one x one!
- final fantasy xiv, xv, xvi
- don't worry: i am plenty embarrassed!
- i enjoy chatting ooc: ooc chat helps figure out vibes and interest. if you're not into ooc chat, i'm willing to still give it a go.
- i'd prefer something longterm! but i know interests change, life interrupts, etc.
- while my oc is a lady and the canons i'd like to play opposite of are dudes, i am more than glad to do (almost) whatever you want for your pairing. i'll list what i won't do in the lil nsfw/limits section.
- i'm flexible on post frequency because sometimes i am pretty irregular. that being said, even at my most frequent it's unlikely to get more than 1 in a day, unless posts are on the shorter end.
- i'd appreciate it if you were older than 25, but definitely be older than 21.
- i am okay with self-insert characters. however, if you are expecting nsfw stuff please do not tell me it is a self-insert! why? i don't know.
- i love mary sues, average joes: rp is shameless self indulgence. be that perfect lil angel or the overtraumatized silly goose.
- doubling: i will play a canon if your choice (or a couple) opposite whoever you want if you do the same for me!
- doubling is mandatory: i am too selfish to only play a canon for you and i become addled with guilt and anxiety if i only get to play my oc. also, i just love a nice collection of characters.
- i love oc x oc friendships and interactions. or having our canons interact!
- i also enjoy playing any character i would like to play against. if you want the same canon as me, i am totally game to do two separate roleplays!
- my ocs are dumb and sometimes chew the scenery, as such, they definitely are a slow burn kind when it comes to romance. if you prefer a fast burn for your pairing, i am more than happy to accommodate! i wanna give you what you want.
- i am not picky on length of post or writing style: i personally write between a couple paragraphs and a couple pages and in 3rd person with a tendency towards present tense.
- with regards to length: while i am not picky, i would appreciate at least 4 sentences, preferably not just saying the same thing but reworded!
- since it's bothered people before: no, i do not capitalize; i am committed to the bit, woopsies. and also i write many posts on my phone and i have auto capitalization off LOL (i do, however, use punctuation.)
- apparently some people use ai to write their posts? i'd appreciate it if you didn't do that.
- i do not have any premade plots; let's plot together! i do not mind using the canon plot as a guide/timeline, but i do not want to rewrite the canon plot 1:1 but with our ocs.
- we do not have to come up with a super comprehensive, detailed plot that covers everything. in fact, i'd prefer not to! i enjoy sudden twists and turns. you do not have to check with me before doing something like that: i love surprises, and the worst thing that happens is i tell you your idea y is cool but i sort of had my heart set on x. and i encourage you to do the same!
- i enjoy nsfw shenanigans but i do not want the roleplay to be solely focused on that!
- while i am flexible on giving you what you want, i will not do any pairings with underage characters. this includes the trope of characters who are old but look 10.
- ffxiv specific: no lalafell smut. they are described as having a "childlike countenance."
- please tell me your hard no things. some of my characters have abuse, etc. in their backstory.
- my non-nsfw limits are: no dead cats (miqote, however, are fine!), and no romanticizing/glamorizing eating disorders or super descriptive depictions of pregnancy.
- i do not have too many nsfw limits: underage, bathroom shenanigans, copious amounts of spit, feet/armpit bonking, sexual gore. i am sure there are others, but those are the ones i can think of.
- with regard to non-con: i am fine writing this as long as both of us are aware, and comfortable, it is going to happen. i know i said i like surprises, but not for non-con, please!
final fantasy xiv:
- who i'd like you to play for me: emet-selch, maybe lahabrea? (made him handsome and for why???)
- who i can play for you: just about anyone unless they're only in yellow sidequests, crafter/gatherer quests, and most role/job quests except mch, rdm, drk, anyone solely in deep dungeons
- i am caught up on all the sorta main storylines: msq, alliance and normal raids.
- my oc has endwalker spoilers. she is not the warrior of light. (tbh, i don't think she could be!)
- you pull i tank, i pull i tank, we pull i tank.
- if i had a dollar every time i became the tank as machinist in alliance raids i'd actually be able to buy myself a nice dinner!
- who i'd like you to play for me: ravus, ardyn
- who i can play for you: anyone from the movie, game, and dlcs except gladio's dlc because i never played it. and i probably won't.
- did y'all ever play comrades? comrades was fun.
- who i'd like you to play for me: harbard (how? why? i do not know!), clive, maybe barnabas??
- who i can play for you: anyone except for characters solely in the leviathan dlc. it's on my list of things to play. it's been on that list.
- i survived the hard mode by doing odin cheese. i am fake gamer.
