So this idea is that the female party member is part of a hero's party, maybe she's been working with a hero that fights the Villain constantly.
But he comes into prosession of her. He could have captured her as bait to bring the hero into a trap. Or maybe he saved her but he's not one to give anything to the hero easily.
And then there's the idea of if he saved her from an even bigger bad, traumatized and clingy. But I'm also up for she meets up with him after a battle to check on his injuries because she saw the hero hurt him.
I could either play the hero's child hood friend who's having trouble finding her place among the hero's new friends. An easy target to manipulate for a bright villain.I also adore the idea of her having a secret past where she worked with the villain exclusively.
Just dm me if any of these strick a fancy or you'd like to do some plotting!
