Paper Mario 64 is a perfect video hame

I simply believe Paper Mario is a perfect game visually and musically and gameplay wise. It has a ton of replayability with the badges, the combat system is fun, and it has a compelling and interesting story by expanding the usual formula of Bowser kidnapping the Princess. It's only flaw is the prologue goes on too long but I can forgive it for that.

You know I've never played Paper Mario. Played SMRPG on the SNES though. I hear lots of good stuff about it and especially the sequel on gamecube.

I couldn't get into SMRPG which is weird because I've loved the first three Paper Mario games and the Mario and Luigi games. You can't go wrong with either series tbh, as long as we're talking PM64-SPM

Yeah everything I heard about later PM games made them sound not worth it. I do wish Nintendo made their games cheaper over time so I could try the TTYD remake and stuff but

TTYD has been out long enough that you could probably get it second hand for the $40 region lol. And since it's on a cart if you have an N64 you can get a reproduction of PM64 (that's what I did lol) and the Mario and Luigi games. I know the Nintendo Switch Online port of PM64 has some menu lag issues. I think Superstar Saga is also on there lol
