Let's be honest. When you have multiple pets there is your one favorite. I have three cats and a dog and me and the dogs are best buds. The cats only care for my spouse. She's totally my favorite, no shame.

She's a boder collie/ Belgian malinois. She is so cuddly and affectionate. She good at the lay out next to you for full body cuddles.

When my family had two dogs, I did have a favorite. However my relationship with my other dog, Bella, was… interesting. For some reason we could never figure out, she didn't like me all that much. She would see me walk into the room and growl at me (which, coming from a Pomeranian, was downright adorable). The only time she would come to me for attention was if nobody else was around.

But my favorite was Mr. Tumnus. He was always very attuned to our emotions and would do what he could to make us feel better. There were times that my mom would fall and knock herself out on the floor, and he would wait by her side for her to come to. Best friend I could ever ask for. 16 years wasn't nearly enough time.

It's the same with kiddos... most parents will tell you that they have no favourite. That's a lie. I have a favourite pet too. A Chorkie outranks the cat we have, but that's mainly because the cat is an ourright bitch who likes to murder bunnies and set them at my feet. (I think she likes hearing me shriek.)

Just like my daughter is my favourite kid, granted, she hasn't disowned me for cutting off the Bank of Mom, but she also isn't an adult like her brother, who is too lazy to get a job and pay for his own phones that he breaks. :/ Plus, she's funny but sweet enough to know when her mother needs a hug.
