Model Misbehaviour (Daleen x Vamp)

Cassie spent the rest of the evening at Bianca's side, getting Marks card had definitely covered her for where she'd been, but it was just one, and Bianca seemed certain that Cassie could get more. She was right for the most part, and by the time she left she had seven different cards tucked inside her coat pocket, three more photographers, two managers, and the woman she'd said she'd gone to meet in the first place, Amira, who also wanted to work with her. She'd noticed that most of the other models had been a bit...stand offish? She imagined they didn't exactly like the thought of welcoming someone so new to the world of actually professional modeling, a catalogue girl in the big leagues, unaware of just how much of a threat she posed with her natural beauty and gentle demeanor. In such a dog eat dog world, the thought that her gentleness made her particularly attractive to work with if only for the sake of one's sanity and peace of mind for those behind the camera never crossing her mind. To her the world was a lovely place, and most people were kind. Naive to the center of her core, likely if not for Bianca she'd have found herself snatched up with those who sought to exploit her and manipulate her.

She'd made sure to leave one of her own cards with the attendant while Bianca wasn't looking, explaining that someone specific might come asking for it, and than she was done for the evening. She was exhausted, managing to drift off for a nap leaning up against Bianca's side as their driver took them away from the scene of the start of her new life, but by the time she'd eaten dinner and finished her shower, she found herself unable to sleep, constantly grabbing her phone and checking her instagram, her texts, her email, anything that Valentina might reach out to her own. She knew she was being silly, the woman was probably incredibly popular, and likely out right now with someone. Valentina didn't seem the home body type like Cassie was. She thought about searching the woman up but decided against it, she didn't want to pester the woman after all...though still the woman stayed on her mind, filling her dreams in ways she'd never repeat to another human being as long as she breathed, and lingering there as she woke, the first thing she did was checking her phone for notifications. She'd certainly earned some new fans, a couple of the photographers having messaged her, which she enjoyed some conversation with but when it came to the details she'd sent them to her agency, knowing they'd have to approve anything she did.

She'd tried catching up on some schoolwork, but still Valentina lingered, and she couldn't seem to focus on anything the textbooks offered, she tried working on one of her papers but her fingers could only hover over the keyboard, her eyes flicking constantly over to her phone, waiting for the sound of a new notification. She kept her phone with her all throughout the day, as she ate, as she painted some of her mini-figurines for a game she played with friends every other week, even as she sat on the couch watching her favorite anime with her cat curled up against her chest, her phone sat there on the cushion beside her. She began to wonder if the whole thing had just been her imagination...if perhaps the woman had just been passing the time with her, something to do at the party, check out the new girl, maybe the set with Mark got declined somehow, maybe maybe maybe. It wasn't until she was cooking herself dinner, the sun setting down over the horizon that she got the notification she'd been waiting on. While Valentina might know how the game was played, Cassie was to pure to think in such ways, and with a smile on her face she quickly clicked on the notification, taking her to Valentina's page before her heart fluttered and she froze in place for a moment, her lips parting with surprise as she saw the woman's posts.

She really was beautiful...and a blush rushed to her face as she saw just how much Valentina did indeed embrace her sexuality, gulping at the risque and tasteful photo's, though even in her dazed state she couldn't help but admire the work. The lighting was perfect, the angles divine, she wondered what sort of lens the photographer was using. What was more, they looked almost entirely unedited, with only the most basic touches down, Valentina needing little to truly take Cassie's breath away. Her face hot, she set the phone down, worried she might not be able to ever look away if she didn't stop now. Gods...there was no denying it now. With a nervous laugh in the empty apartment aside from her feline friend, she braced her hands on the counter, letting out a deep sigh. "I have a crush" she admitted to herself, laughing once more as she leaned her head forward, only to yelp as she got a face full of steam from the rice frying in the pan. "It's okay, you're okay. You're a professional. You. Are. A. Professional" she said to herself before biting her lower lip as she grabbed her phone once more. She wanted to keep looking through the woman's photo's, but denied herself that urge, and instead hit the button to send the woman a message, unable to help the small part of her brain that wondered if Valentina had searched through her own posts, and if so...what had she thought?

"Hey! I was wondering if I was going to hear from you. Did you talk to Mark any about the shoot?" she sent, figuring it best to play it safe. She had a crush on Valentina, that was her problem to sort out, it didn't mean the woman might have any interest in her. She didn't know the woman well enough, for all she knew, the woman talked by flirting...she blushed at the assumption that Valentina was even flirting with her at all. Maybe she was just being friendly? Maybe, maybe, maybe, again the maybe's ran through her head. Cassie didn't know that there was a word for all of that, all of the thoughts that ran through her head whenever Valentina appeared beside them, Valentina would likely know what it was right away. Gay panic. However Cassie didn't know that, and so she played it safe, figuring she should remain professional, stick to the work, keep it about the work, they were going to be working together, as far as she knew, that was all this was, and it wouldn't do to burn bridges this early in the world by making assumptions.

Valentina’s thumb hovered over Cassie’s profile picture for a moment before tapping. The familiar swirl of pink and gold from the little loading ring felt like a curtain parting on a stage, and then there she was.

Cassie’s grid was a puzzle made up of different versions of her. In one row, she looked like she’d just stepped out of a magazine, her spine arched, lips parted, clothes draped like they were made just for her. In the next, she was shoulder-to-shoulder with a group of laughing people she assumed were Cassie's friends, cheeks flushed with the warmth of a night out.

Valentina scrolled further, and the glamour gave way to something else - Cassie holding her phone in a bathroom mirror, messy hair and a lopsided smile, no filters or angles. Then, unexpectedly, frogs. Little green ones, fat brown ones, some perched on mossy stones, others mid-hop. It definitely wasn't what she'd expected but somehow it just made Cassie more endearing.

Valentina felt a strange fondness building with each swipe. She liked seeing Cassie this way, not just her beautiful and polished modelling side, but the unpolished, day to day, unpredictable sides of her, too. It made her feel like she was getting little glimpses of a private world Cassie only showed to people who were paying attention.

She slipped back into her DMs and typed out a reply.

"I did! He's wondering of you'd be available on Wednesday or Thursday? The studio's really central so it would be easy to get to!"

Cassie let out a small squeal of excitement, giggling happily to herself in her empty apartment as Valentina replied with confirmation. She went to type out a response before pausing, biting on her lower lip in that same nervous habit, wondering for a moment if she shouldn't talk to Bianca about this. True, the photographer was green lit with the agency, true this was a personal deal and not a contracted agreement, true, there was nothing saying she couldn't work with models outside the agency especially in personal shoots but...there was that nagging doubt in the back of her head. While she doubted it would ever go far enough to ever reach Bianca, it was a fantasy shoot, a niche market if ever there was one...but if it did. She supposed she could always just say she didn't know Valentina would be working the same shoot...innocence by ignorance but that would mean lying to Bianca. The thought left a small pit in her stomach before she groaned, leaning her head back as she let out a soft sigh. But she knew what Bianca would say, and there goes her chance of working with Valentina again...of seeing her again.

"What do I do Claude?" she asked, looking down at the feline currently rubbing against her legs, unconcerned about her owners distress. "Do you think I should tell Bianca?" she asked the feline, who just stared up at her, sensing the attention pointing her way but it's meaning lost, offering up a simple blink of her eyes before she headbutted back in against Cassie's legs. "That's true..." Cassie mused, grinning a bit before she let out another sigh. "If anyone asks, this was entirely your idea" she said with a small laugh as she pressed her thumbs back against the screen of her phone. "Yeah! I have class Wednesday, but I'm free for the rest of the week so I can do Wednesday evening or night, or if you want a daytime shoot I'm available all day on Thursday, just let me know when and where and I'll be there! :) " she sent back, letting out a small squeal to herself of excitement as she knew she'd more or less set her fate with that message. She couldn't let the opportunity to work with Mark go over nerves...that was what she told herself at least. In reality, she'd have found any excuse she could to get back into the same room as Valentina.

'Trouble' was one of the ways Bianca had described Valentina. The tanned beauty hadn't heard it herself, but if she had, she'd have worn the title like a badge of honour.

To her, being 'trouble' meant being bold, defying expectations, and doing everything you could to get what you wanted.

Her upcoming shoot with Cassie was just the latest example of that. She wanted to pose with the other girl and create art with her. Cassie seemed to want that, too. There was an expectation that they shouldn't work together because they were signed up to rival agencies. But Valentina had been bold and pushed ahead with it anyway to get what she wanted. She didn't care of her agency whinged about it. Or if Cassie's did. They'd get over it. And she cared even less about what Bianca thought about it. If she'd paid attention to every worry and doubt that crept into her mind, she never would have gotten into modelling in the first place.

She tapped her index finger against the side of her head as she pondered Cassie's reply. She had class on Wednesday, so maybe Thursday would be better. That way Cassie wouldn't be tired from studying. She called Mark and made the suggestion, then went back to Cassie when it was all confirmed.

"Marky says Thursday works! 1pm at the studio, I'll message you the address."

She copy and pasted the maps data for the studio and sent it over to Cassie before smiling to herself as she thought of something. She'd taken a mirror selfie of herself in the outfit she planned on wearing earlier that day.

"Here's a little preview for you - get ready to face the big bad evil Elf 😈 " She said, sending the message along with the selfie of herself in the dress.

Cassie sat there, her eyes locked onto her phone as she waited for the woman's response to her schedule. Would that be an issue? Was it maybe some sort of test? Should she have just said whenever Valentina wanted, and maybe she'd ruined it by laying down a limitation? She groaned, never so doubtful of herself before in her life, sure she wasn't the most confident but she always felt she knew her worth well enough, yet the delay was filling her with worry as she went over every letter of the message she'd sent, wondering if she'd done something wrong. Her attention was pulled from her phone only as she heard the hissing of water steaming and looked over to see her pot boiling over. She set her phone down on the counter, quickly grabbing a rag to wrap around the handle of the pot and moving it off the flat top burner which continued to hiss and steam, the water bubbling angrily against the glowing red rings underneath the black glass before she reached up and turned the burner off. She sat there, before laughing softly at herself and shaking her head. "Get a grip on yourself" she mumbled to herself, wondering if maybe she was just getting worked up over nothing.

She gave the food a quick check, before nodding her head to nothing. She could save that easily enough, it wouldn't be a problem at all. However her plans were completely gone as her phone went off and she snatched it up, quickly unlocking it and looking at the message. Smiling without realizing it, she bit her lower lip, before sending back a simple message. Calm, cool, collected, keep it professional she told herself. "Great! I'll be there, can't wait! Excited to work with you!" before giggling as she held the phone in against her chest, her heart thundering just under the surface, both from getting to work with Mark, which was no small thing in and of itself, but also the thought of getting to see Valentina again, actually WORKING with her. Sure it was a niche market, hardly likely to make her a household name like Bündchen, but it would definitely help. Heck, Valentina was so lovely, a selfie taken with her would probably double her follower count overnight she mused to herself with another giggle.

She blinked in surprise at the quick response before lifting her phone from her chest so she could see it, before her lips parted in shock, her eyes widening as she saw the woman in the dress she'd be wearing for the shoot. Her heart skipped a beat at the woman's beauty, the natural allure she had about her, the way the background seemed to cease to exist, her eyes only lingering on Valentina, roaming down the woman's body, what could be seen at least. The dress seemed tailored, hugging tight to her body, what little fabric there was to hug at least. So much skin showed that Cassie couldn't help her imagination and she used that imagination to fill in the gaps that the clothes covered. Her face flushed red, and her fingers tapped away on the screen. "You're so beautiful!" but she didn't hit send, instead quickly deleting it. "The dress isn't worthy to be worn by you" before she guffawed at herself and quickly deleted that dribbel. "I bet you look even more amazing in person!' no! Gods that was just creepy! She quickly deleted that too, groaning in frustration at herself as she hung her head back to stare at the ceiling. Finally she decided to stop overthinking it. This was supposed to be a fun fantasy shoot, something casual and relaxed, sure it was work but it wasn't WORK, it was like work the day before a holiday, when nobodies ACTUALLY doing much of anything other then preparing for the day off. "Relax, calm down. You're overthinking" she said to herself, before smiling. "No evil can defeat the power of friendship and love! ;) what will I be wearing?" she texted out, before giggling. Just silly enough to be fun but still professional, figuring she would be playing the role of the good elf. All this time though if Valentina was watching her own phone, she'd simply see the bubbles icon showing Cassie was typing, then it disappearing, reappearing, over and over again, before finally she hit send. She felt a small pinch of doubt snag her brain as she looked down at the winky face, wondering if that was to much but...it was sent, and there was nothing she could do about it. "Don't think about it. Don't think about it, just, dinner. Dinner! Chikushou!" she cried out to the empty room, her feline friend yowling as Cassie snapped to action, it's resting place against her feet disturbed as she went to work salvaging her meal.

"Great! I'll be there, can't wait! Excited to work with you!"

Valentina giggled to herself as she read those words. She knew they were doing something they shouldn't. They were from rival agencies, and Cassie's friend had obviously told her that Valentina was bad news.

But that just made their clandestine little modelling project all the more delicious.

Sending the pic of herself had been a spur of tbe moment decision, but now that it was done, she found herself sitting and staring at her phone. How would Cassie respond, she wondered?

She didn't have to wait long to find out.

At first it seemed Cassie herself wasn't sure. Valentina could see the little speech bubble that indicated Cassie was talking pop up and vanish a few times before a response that definitely wasn't long enough to warrant all the typing appeared. She smirked to herself as she read it, wondering what else Cassie might have been saying.

"Maybe evil can't, but sexy can 😈 You've got a similar gown that's a bit less revealing, and it's in lighter colours. See ya at the shoot!"
