What inspires your writing?

Frankie here! What helps you write and inspires you? Do you have a specific playlist? Maybe you feel inspired by a favourite author, do you have a movie on in the background or a YouTube video? For myself, I love reading poetry. R.M Drake and R.H Sin influence my style of writing. Sometimes I also like ambient music.

There's a lot of stuff that inspired me. Reading. I try to get in a good book every now and again. Sometimes even the not so good books give me ideas too. Movies help. To a degree anime and manga but topping that off, music. I listen to everything that tells me a story and in turn helps me create something. Speaking of music, was able to get the Expedition 33 soundtrack which really inside me.

Kind of lame reason here. Growing up where I did, which is very religious and closed minded and the fact most people I know are like this I feel like I am very sexually and creatively repressed. So meeting open minded people here and being able to discuss and potentially write slme things I want and have buried deep down is the appeal for me.

I have an entire enormous Playlist that I made for NaNoWriMo in 2022 that I still listen to for inspiration.

But really, the biggest thing that inspires my own writing is whatever it is that I've read recently. At the beginning of the year I devoured the entire Southern Reach series in less than a month, and then the next time I wrote an RP post and was proofreading it, I was astonished at how much of the author's voice had sunk in to what I had written.
