Hell
Background-------------------------------
Hell has existed for eons—long before the first human ever stood upright beneath the uncaring stars—and it will endure long after humanity breathes its last bitter breath. It is not a place born of myth or superstition, but a reality older than light, deeper than time, and as inevitable as entropy itself.

The legions of the Dark Realm march with a singular, unyielding purpose: to conquer, to corrupt, to consume.

From the armored Hell Knights to the beguiling Succubi, every Demon is forged with precision and intent—each a living weapon designed to cripple, dominate, desecrate, and ultimately annihilate any species rich in aethereal energy. That energy—the vital essence of life and soul—is Hell's currency, its fuel, its obsession. World after world has fallen to their relentless advance, each conquest feeding the infernal engines of their war machine. With every civilization razed, with every soul devoured, Hell grows stronger.

The fortunate—if such a word can be used—are the ones sacrificed at the threshold of the Barren Wastes. There, blood runs in rivers and the dead are thrown to the gore-nests, pulsating mounds of flesh and bone that churn endlessly in the filth. These victims are stripped of identity, their souls broken and reshaped into hollow echoes, destined to march forever beneath the weight of Hell's will. Whatever hatred they once felt becomes nothing more than raw aethereal energy—burned away, leaving only fuel for the fires.

But the unlucky? They are kept alive.

Dragged to the obsidian altars of the Infernal Creators, they are flayed, vivisected, remade—limb by limb, nerve by nerve. The Creators call it an honor. Yet as sinew is peeled back and organs harvested like ripe fruit, one cannot help but wonder: honor for whom? Across countless Realms, mortals are brought to the Crucible—a nightmarish forge where flesh is twisted, bones shattered, and blood reforged into something utterly unrecognizable. Even their DNA is broken down and hammered into new configurations, all in service of birthing the next generation of Demon-kind. These tortured beings do not survive the process—but their flesh, their pain, their essence—live on in Hell's monstrous offspring.

Make no mistake: this is not a war of ideology or vengeance. It is a resource war—brutal, methodical, and eternal. Hell requires souls to burn, and the multiverse offers no shortage of worlds to harvest.

Earth is next. But it will not be the last.

Characters
Imp (Ni’Thrashet)
Heirarchy: Lesser Demon of the Lower Order

Background: Imps have ranked among the lowest order of Demon's for millenia, and while their design has changed over the years, their position in battle never has. They are only ever used as a distraction to overwhelm the enemy and draw fire, or for basic and menial labour that requires very little oversight.

Appearance: Imps are approximately the size of a full grown man, weighing 130 to 150 pounds, and measuring roughly 5 feet tall when standing upright. They are approximstely humanoid with no tail or horns, and sport strong digitigraded legs that puts them predominantly on all fours. With broad shoulders and a narrow waist, Imps are specifically designed to be fast and agile in their pursuit. They posses sharp claws and teeth and use them readily to attack. Their hide is thick and leathery, often in shades of rusty brown, and the only armor to speak of is protruding bony sections of their skeletal system that reinforce their chest, shoulders, and head.

Behavior: More often than not, Imps wil be commanded by a superior into the front lines of battle. Left to their own devices, they hunt in packs and can easily overwhelm an enemy wirh numbers alone. If a group of Imps lack any clear command, they will generally attempt asserting dominance intrinsically, which may lead to loss of Imp lives. For this reason, they are very rarely ever left without direct oversight.
Harpettes (Ni’Thyraak)
Hierarchy: Lesser Demon of the Lower Order

Background: When the Harpy was first stolen from it's home world and recreated to form the terror of the skies it's now known to be, there was one glaring issue that prevailed: agility. While considerably more agile than other Greater Demon, the Harpy struggle in tight quarters and small spaces, thus the aptly named Harpette was developed to supplement the otherwise powerful creatures.

Appearance: The Harpette, while sharing much in common with the large and powerful Harpy, is significantly smaller, barely encroaching past 4 or 5 feet in height, and 60 or so pounds in weight. Aside from their size however, the biggest difference between the Harpette and it's larger variant is the structure of its limbs, or lack there of. Where the Harpy has a set of functional arms and wings sprouting from its back, the Harpette has only wings with no secondary set of limbs to act as standalone arms. Because of this, the Harpette relies more significantly on its taloned feet to manipulate objects and attack foes.

Further, the Harpy is known for the crown of horns it wears like a helmet, it's eyeless face, and jagged toothed maw. Conversely, the Harpette has four beady eyes, a curved raptor like beak, and no horns to speak of. It's body has no armor beyond a bracing length of chitin over its breast bone, and it's flesh is a leathery brown.

The similarities between the two species seem to begin and end with the ability of flight.

Behavior: Unlike their larger counterparts, Harpettes are known to he social creatures. They cluster in flocks and roost in groups. Should a Harpy be present, they will congregate around it on instinct alone. They're known to be fiercely aggressive of most other creatures, including demons, and will attack in swarms unprovoked. Because of their simple nature and tendency to follow Harpies into battle, the Harpette is one of few creatures not bound be direct command, they're instead allowed the freedom to become cannon fodder on their own accord. Should their Harpy fall in battle however, they will often go into a frenzy of blood, attacking both friend and foe alike.
Harpy (Va’Shyrexis)
Heirarchy: Greater Demon of the Lower Order

Background: Harpys are technically a genetic cousin to Imps. They were conjured in an effort to control the air, which Harpys do very well. In addition to having large leathery wings, Harpys are generally more intelligent than Imps, significantly larger, and are capable of wielding small amounts of aethereal energy to summon hellfire to their bony claws.

Appearance: Harpys are vaguely feminine in design, but only very vaguely. They stand approximately 8 feet tall and weigh in around 300 pounds. Their perception is especially sharp, which is especially impressive given that they have no visible eyes. From their forehead to their maw is a solid and unbroken section of chitinous armor. Furthermore, horns sprout from the rear of their skull and wrap around to converge on either side of their head like a cage to act as a helmet.

Harpys have wide powerful wings to carry them aloft, and light chitinous armoring that covers portions of their chest and head. Their skin is thick and tough, and their legs a classic infernal digitigrade with talon like feet they use to grasp and perch.

Behavior: When commanded by a Warden, Harpys are generally utilized to strike behind enemy lines and break up formations. They share the limited teleportation abilities of a Succubus, and are generally seen employing hit-and-run guerilla maneuvers to confuse enemies and break their ranks. When left to their own devices, Harpys are most often seen in solitude, perched on some high up point where they can survey the lands. Occasionally, a Harpy will adopt a brood of "Harpettes" that act as a an envoy for their superior matriarch.
Infernal Guard (On'Skellis)
Hierarchy: Lesser Demon of the Higher Order.

Background: Infernal Guards are generally used to protect the order of Hell Priests that command the legions. But beyond this they fill a much needed gap where many Demons fall short. Guards are more intelligent, and can operate independently without direct oversight, making them perfect for solo excursions into other realms.

Appearance: Infernal Guards stand approximately seven feet tall, weighing about 400 pounds, and are constructed of high density bone and muscle fibers with a heavily armored chitinous exterior. If Hell had an elite fighting force, it would be the Guards. They possess the strength of 10 men, and are surging with hot red muscle clad in bone white chitin armor. Like the Harpys, they have no eyes to provide weak points in their skull, yet their vision seems unimpaired. Their fists are like battering rams that end in knobby bone-clad knuckles, and are often seen wielding swords, axes, and other weapons carved from the bones of long dead Titans.

Behavior: Guards are highly regimented, and their quality scrutinized carefully upon conjuration. They are highly disciplined, and whether commanded by a superior or left to their own devices, will generally take it upon themselves to guard and protect whatever they deem of strategic importance.
Hell Knight (Va’Gorveth)
Hierarchy: Greater Demon of the Lower Order

Background: Knights are the main combative force on the front lines of Hell's armies. They were conjured as a heavy hitter to compliment the hit and run tactics of the smaller less durable Imps. Over the years, Knights have seen different iterations of design that has improved their muscle and bone density, streamlined their organic chitin armor to provide better flexibility, and enhanced their nueral pathways to give Higher Order Demon's better dominion over them in battle. They are the bread and butter of Hell's legions, and are most often seen dominating the front lines in battle.

Appearance: Knights are first and foremost the brutes of the battlefield, standing between 10 and 12 feet tall, and weighing upwards of 3,000 pounds. Their strength is unmatched by anything the Mortal realm can offer, easily enough to lift vehicles from the ground and level buildings should they feel the desire. Their armor is thick enough to stop all but the most offensive anti-material rounds, and covers them nearly from head to toe.

Like many other combative class Demons, they lack visible eyes or ears, but have little trouble seeing in combat due to sight which although covered by their bone like chitin faceplate, can see in a light spectrum which is unimpeded by their naturally grown armor. Their grisly maw is lined with jagged teeth, but generally they prefer crushing their enemies with heavy blows as a primary means of attack.

Behavior: Knights are dim and aggressive creatures. When commanded by a superior intelligence, they will take up ranks behind Imps, and crush opposition with chilling brutality. Left to their own devices, they will generally attack anything and everything nearby. Knights have no qualms about killing a couple dozen Imps out of boredom, and have been known to attack one another to assert dominance.
Enforcer (Va’Vaarthyn)
Hierarchy: Greater Demon of the Lower Order

Background: Based on an otherwise peaceful creature which had been conquered in the swampy marshlands of its homeworld, the Enforcers have become an authority on offensive devastation. Most commonly, they're used as an anti-artillary or anti-material pawn designed to take out structures and large swathes of smaller enemies.

Appearance: Enforcers are one of the largest creatures to frequent the battlefield, typically employed in situations that lack significant offensive fire and require more direct strength and brutality. With upright, bipedal legs, the tower over even Hell Knights in their raw power, standing roughly 20 to 25 feet tall, and clad in thick armor on their chest, shoulders, and head.

They have wide sweeping horns often used to maximize the damage done during the bullrush charge they're most known to employ. Further, their fists and forearms are heavy clad to protect the sensitive digits during sweeping attacks on machine, building, or other larger organic enemies.

Behavior: True to their peaceful origins, Enforcers are solitary creatures by nature, and will typically avoid confrontation unless spurred to attack. They are unfettered by the din of the smaller Demons, and even when attacked by Imp or Knight will typically ignore the assault if able to do so. When commanded in battle however, they're used to brutal efficiency in punching holes through otherwise unimpregnable defensive strong holds.
Seige Behemoth (Gral’Velgorrym)
Hierarchy: Greater Demon of the Lower Order

Background: One of Hell's few beasts to be developed solely from the wicked crucible of the dark realms own flesh foundry, the Seige Behmoth was designed and bred purely for warfare. It had never known a homework, and it's people had never been conquered by Hell's war machine. It lives only for blood shed, and dies only on the battlefield.

Appearance: Massive, stout, and misshapen, the Seige Behemoth is one of Hell's less physically appealing creatures. They possess short stubby bipedal legs with overbuilt joints to support the otherwise massive weight, speaking to how little these creatures are intended to move. Their spine and back muscles are overdeveloped, but the symmetry ends there. The left arm will always be undergrown, and small even for the beasts size. The right arm however is a massive overbuilt bludgeon of terrifying proportions. While it's off-hand barely reaches to the bottom of its rib cage, the beasts dominant arm drags on the ground it not held aloft.

A perpetual hunch whispers to the creatures tragic malformation, but it's use in battle is ever glorious. It's primary arm ends in a heavy chitinous barrel capable of gathering and focusing large amounts of aetherium into refined hellfire plasma. It's head is designed purely for battle, being encased in armor so thick it very nearly is imperceptible as a head, lacking and visible neck or mouth. It's eyes consist of two large forward facing dinner plates to give it exceptional aim, with four smaller side facing eyes to allow it to keep an eye on its surroundings.

Behavior: Being a creature that is completely native to Hell's hallowed halls, the Seige Behomth lacks any sort of innate behavior that was left over from it's legacy species. Where an Imp might seek comfort in burrows or caves because of it's pre-infernal ancestors, or an Incubus will seek approval and validation because of the human male's predisposition for fears of inadequacy, the Seige Behemoth is home grown through and through, and will simply wander aimlessly if not commanded, firing at anything it deems a threat, and ignoring anything it doesn't.

When commanded by a superior strategist though, the Behemoth rules the battle field from well behind the front lines. Either lobbing charged mortars of plasmatic hellfire at distances of up to a mile, or honing the barrel of its organic cannon into a laser-precise weapon capable of melting through armor plating, the Seige Behemoth is top of the line in Infernal firepower.
Colossus (Gra’Brukus)
Hierarchy: Greater Demon of the Lower Order

Background: One of very few demons in Hell that are natural pacifists, the Collosi are designed as beasts of burden in all of Hell's labor. The gentle giants have changed little from their homeworld origins, only managing a size increase and a few small adaptations to make them more plyable as laboring brutes.

Appearance: A well conjured Collosi will stand approximately 120 feet tall, give or take a dozen. Their sheer size and strength ensures that the monsters can lift, move, or haul anything they can get their large crushingly powerful hands on.

With comparatively short, sturdy legs and long, powerful arms, the beasts could rival the raw might of any of Earth’s great machines. A spine like a great sequoia—thick and impossibly strong. Their broad shoulders nearly half as wide as its body, with reinforced tendons and overgrown muscles ensure the massive brute's useful lifespan will long outlive any structure or monument it is compelled to craft. Its jaw muscles are overdeveloped, and its great molars are often seen sunk halfway into a large tree trunk bit wasused to steer it. It's horns sweep from its head extending twenty feet to either side and anchored by roots that run down the back of its skull. Its neck muscles bulge with power like a bison’s, and several long lengths of foot-thick rope can be secured to its horns for lifting or steering.

Behavior: When given simple instructions Collosi will follow them to an unwavering T. Whether moving the stones of a mountain, performing wrecking duties on structures, or assisting Titan's during realm assimilation, they do not question orders and they do not act of their own will. Collosi have very simple minds, too primitive to possess free will, feel discomfort, or even discern enemy forces from it's own. If not directly controlled or monitored by a superior force, a Collosi will simply loiter where it's at and await a command.
Warden (Xa’Traasyk)
Heriarchy: Greater Demon of the Higher Order

Background: Wardens are the front line generals in Hell's army, and are highly developed both physically and mentally. They bridge the gap between the ruthless and dim-witted demons and the closely guarded intelligence that spurs Hell into endless warfare. They themselves are long held descendants of the first Demon kind to rule Hell eons ago, and are said to share a generational ancestry with the first Titans who helped conquer the realm, ensuring their loyalty is unyielding to the cause.

Appearance: They stand exactly 26 feet tall, their dimensions and specifications highly regulated during conjuration. Their bodies are armored in well formed chitinous plating, covering their chest in wide sweeping armor that's impenetrable to all but the heaviest armor piercing round. Their shoulders bear leathery skin thick enough to stop everything from blade to blaze. Their eyes, razor sharp and inset to four sockets, are capable of eagle-eyed vision, and their horns give an unmistakable air of dominance to the battlefield.

Where their naturally grown armor falls short, they wear titan bone armor to fill in the gaps. Often seen wielding shield, and sword or other such weaponry of the indestructible substance. Their heads are always well protected behind both half foot thick bone and exterior armor to boot, ensuring their most precious weapon is kept safe during battle.

Behavior: Wardens will be present at every battle in one form or another, but they very rarely show themselves beyond the most secure and well defensible positions. Their minds are well and truly the most powerful tool at their disposal, and are capable of commanding forces who number in the thousands through an invasive and dominating telepathic presence. More often than not however, they simply relay orders and real time strategic information to battle field nodes in the form of forward commanding Infernal Guardsman or higher ranking Lower Order demons who in turn command their own echelon into battle.

When not in battle, Wardens are recalled to Hell's Grand Sepulcher where they can debrief with the Priests and prepare for their next assault.
Priest of Hell (Zha’Tyraadun)
Hierarchy: Lesser Demon of the Profane Order

Background: While the knowledge is closely guarded, it is said the Hell Priest's lineage is not traced back to Hell, which inpart spurs conflict between them and the Wardens. Whether Hellborn or Hellsimilated, one thing is wholly agreed upon: Priests are capable of wielding an unfathomable amount of aethereal energy.

Appearance: Priests share a striking amount of similarities with the homosapien musculoskeletal structure. Being largely anthropomorphic, bipedal, and of similar size and stature to humans. Notable differences come in the generally dry, leathery, gray flesh that covers their bodies, and the height and proportions of their stature. Standing between 6 and 7 feet tall, Priests are typically rather lithe and unimposing in build, relying on their authority instead of their strength.

Most notably, Priests are one of few Demons who wear any form of clothing. Traditionally, they opt for loose fitting robes which give obscurity to their otherwise feeble looking bodies. What's more, it's said that many priests have decorated their skin with the sigils of spellwork, insinuating that the power they wield does not come naturally to them.

While every Priest possesses some amount of individuality, many are seen to obscure their own eyes in favor of relying upon higher senses, or otherwise to alleviate the distraction of sight when commanding larger forces. Blindfolds, grafted metal headgear, and simply plucking out ones eyes are all acceptable manner of achieving this goal.

Behavior: As the most vocal ruling force of Hell, Priests are often considered the top of the totem pole when it comes to the heirarchy, second only to The Silent Father. They rarely leave the relative safety of Hell, only doing so when a realm is all but conquered, or has a significant foothold that can be well defended. As they are very rarely ever slain, and will not succumb to age, the creation of a Hell Priest is something that hasn't been seen since the dawn of the Second Age.
Titan (Morgulyth)
Hierarchy: Titan

Background: Considered to be the first demon to inhabit Hell, Titans are said to have always existed in the Dark Realm, so old that the original beasts pre-date even the Hell Priests. It was their might that bound Hell to the Void, and their strength that was responsible for tearing open the Veil and assimilating other realms in Hell's ever present conquest for more power and dominion.

Appearance: A Titan hasn't been conjured in recorded history, so their appearance and behaviors appear to be the original manifestation of the creatures.

While no accurate measurement is available, best guesses put the average Titan between 1,200 and 1,400 feet tall, dwarfing even the Collosi by inconceivable margins. They are bipedal, and while they have no actual armor, the thickness of their leathery skin and the sheer size of their body insists that no armor is truly needed beyond anything but the most devastating of mortal weaponry. Their horns sweep 150 feet to either side of their indestructible skulls, and their roar is said to be audible from hundreds of miles away. A Titans footsteps leave craters in its wake, for the density of the Earth is not sufficient to fully support their massive weight.

A popular ratio to put the scale fully into perspective: a Human is to a Titan, as a grain of rice is to a Human.

Behavior: Titans are more aptly described as a universal force than they are a singular Demon. They exist on a scale of magnitude similar to that of an earthquake or hurricane, and can be considerably more destructive when driven by an adequate force. In the First Age, the existed as the sole denizens of Hell, kneeling to no master and bowing before no god. They conquered worlds of their own unfocused desire, like a solitary predator seeking out it's prey.

Since their subjugation however, Titans are largely kept in a dormant state to ensure their rule never returns. Only under the concentrated effort of groups of Priests are they allowed consciousness. When awakened, Titans are used as a devastating trump card to raze the lands of oppressed realms, crushing anything in their path and leaving only death in their wake. Beyond combat however, Titans are most notable for their work in forced assimilation of other worlds. Their uncompromising, world breaking power carving off tectonic plates of other worlds and dragging them into Hell's infernal cataclysm to become part of the Dark Realm.
Corrupted (On’Maalgryn)

Hierarchy: Greater Demon of the Higher Order

Background: Corrupted are an especially wicked variety of Demon that melds the gap between Mortal and Demonic flesh. Sought to be the most elite fighting force that Hell could muster, Corrupted are capable of extended ventures into non-habitable Realms thanks to an implanted Human soul.

Early on it was discovered that the Human soul possessed more than enough power to burn through and overload most any Demon's aethereal limitations, but if the Human vessel was kept alive, then the soul would remain tethered to it. Just as the Damned used pieces of their soul to maintain themselves as a functional slave, the Corrupted's human symbiotes are little more than battery storage for a Demonic body.

Extensive research and testing at the edge of a razor bone scalpel has found that under the proper circumstances, the Human soul need only an intact and functioning Human brain to maintain a viable connection, but to sustain that human brain, at least the heart and lungs of the Human vessel need to remain functional.

Appearance: With arms, legs, and the lower digestive organs removed from the Human body, the upper torso and head is grafted directly into the internals of a Demonic body. Conjuration and spell work keep what's left of the Human alive, and their soul feeds the Demon in exchange.

It is not a pleasant way to survive, and arguably a fate worse than Damning.

Beyond the implanted Human vessel, Corrupted generally appear in similar fashion to Hell Knights in size, strength, and speed. The only truly notable difference to the untrained eye will be split in the Corrupted's stomach where the vessel had been implanted, and would be subsequently removed if and when the soul should expire.

Behavior: The one area where a Corrupted will always differ from other Demons is it's intelligence. The creatures are designed to operate outside of direct oversight and in long ventures into non-Hell controlled territory. As such, they will typically have near-Human level intelligence and be able to carry out complex direction without guidance.
The Silent Father

Hierarchy: The First Witness

Background: So little is known about The Silent Father that references to him have been all but expunged. His name is not uttered, and his presence is not noted, but he rules the halls of Hell from his throne of eternal slumber, relying on the Priests to enact his will and carry out his vision on his behalf.

Appearance: No recorded image or description of The Silent Father has been found, but based on the context of his throne room and the stature of other Higher Order Demon, it can be assumed that he is between ten and forty feet tall, with an anthropomorphic body structure.

No records of his appearance exist.

Behavior: While he has never been observed interacting with Hell directly, his will is always being communicated across the realm.

The Silent Father has resigned himself to the throne room where he is both protected from advancing armies, and has centralized access to assert his dominion over a widespread area. The Silent Father does not move, he does not leave, and he does not speak, but it's said that through the black stained glass of his throne room, his looming figure is still visible presiding over his empty court.
Harness (Kraveel)
Hierarchy: Passive

Background: The Harness is an especially unusual breed of Demon that more closely resembles a trash bag full of mixed bones and entrails than any distinctive form. It would be more apt to describe the Harness as a specially bred strain of parasite than anything else. It was conjured specifically for the purpose of imbuing the Damned with strength and endurance beyond what the Mortal vessel is capable of sustaining.

Appearance: As mentioned, the Harness is more amorphous than any Demon before. However, it will always have two parallel rows of sharpened fangs on its underbelly, and four chitinous protrusions that act as it's basal limbs before symbiotic growth has fully matured.

Once mated with a host, the Harness will begin growing larger and more consuming the meet the hosts needs. It's bony protrusion will extend to find shoulders and hips, and more teeth with grow to melf it's body with the hosts own. Oily black skin stretches and swells as it's musculoskeletal system expands at horrifying speed to create a suit of biological power armor around its host. Ultra hard Demonic bone forms to match the hosts stature, and triple dense muscle fibers imbue the wearer with strength well beyond that of Mortal capabilities. If needed, chitin plating will begin to form and harden, protecting the wearer from damage.

Behavior: Harnesses have next to no intelligence of their own, and are only truly capable of mimicking a bonded hosts movements and determining their needs. If the Harness is a virgin, it will remain as little more than a lump of unstructured black flesh with no true means of seeking out its own host. If removed from a Mortal or should it's host otherwise perish, the Harness will shed the limbs and plating it has grown around it's occupant and seek out the next closest source of Soul energy. Without a host however, they are blind, slow, and clumsy slug like creatures that are easily avoided.

Once fused to a hosts nervous system via the aforementioned fangs, the Harness with begin feeding off its host's Soul to increase its muscle and bone mass by several dozen fold. Some of the oldest Harnesses have all but completely overtaken their host, and could quite probabaly weigh several hundred pounds. Fortunately, without any higher level brain function, the Harness has no means of enacting it's own will on others, and will simply maintain the symbiotic relationship for as long as physically possible.
Infernal Weapons (Scaarnyth)
Hierarchy: Passive

Background: An truly unique breed of Demon, the Weapons harbor a similar lineage to Harnesses and are especially rare.

Used specifically and exclusively for the Corrupted class, Infernal Weapons require a ready source of aethereal energy to fire. Technically, these weapons could be wielded by a Human marksman, but due to their rarity and destructive potential in the wrong hands, they are closely guarded.

Appearance: Many Infernal Weapons resemble similar construction to their more Human counterparts, albeit with significantly different function. Typically, their main component will be bone or chitin, with their fleshy aethereal bladders and simplistic nervous system housed tightly behind protective carapice. Sigil carved into the casing of the weapons will held determine how they behave when fired, but their destructive prowess is always beyond reproach.

Some examples include pistols resembling revolvers, scopeless carbines, charged bolt shot guns, and even weapons as devastating as mounted gatling style machine guns.

Behavior: Weapons have no capacity for thought, and truly don't even have brains. They are the most basic form of what could be considered a Demon, and are easier to view as very simple biological machines.

Despite varying design elements, all Infernal Weapons will have similar common ground in performance. Namely, their accuracy will never be as sharp as Human made weapons, their rounds will always be concentrated aethereal plasma, and reloading is a complete non-issue in their design.

Most weapons are simple picked up and held by a Human or Corrupted hand, and fired like a normal gun. Each trigger pull will take a certain amount of aethereal energy from the used (assuming that used has a soul to barter with) and that energy will be converted into a plasmatic discharge. It's worth noting that some weapon designs will include a half-second delay while the energy is accumulated, and others will even require an umbilical feed when drawing large amounts of energy for continuous fire.
Damned (Thraaskul)
Hierarchy: Slave

Background: One of the most tragic creatures in Hell's halls, the Damned are Humans who've been enslaved and bound to eternal servitude in the name of the Dark Realm.

Appearance: The appearance of the Damned will vary based on several factors: age, stature of the enslaved mortal, and whether or not they've been bound with a Harness. Regardless of this though, Damned will typically begin to adopt a dessicated and emaciated appearance as their Vessel withers farther and farther into decay. Further, their identifying characteristics will have been removed in an effort to break the Mortal within. Scalped, stripped naked, and removed of sexual organs, there is little end to the torment that a Damned will endure during the breaking process.

Behavior: Damned begin their new life as normal Humans, but as the torture degrades them of any sense of individuality, the human psyche is quick to retreat and abandon lucid thought in favor of protective remission. As loose skin is stripped away and Demonic sigils are carved deep into their flesh and bone, the mind is the first thing to break.

On average, it takes anywhere between a few months to a few years of continuous torture to ensure that any spirit or semblance of free will has been abandoned. During that time, a Damned will begin growing accustomed to their new bodies. Minimal sleep is best to keep the mind from ever truly recuperating, and no food or water will provide them anguish but their own soul is sure to be enough sustain the spellwork keeping them alive through the mutilation.

Dawned typically can expect a service life from anywhere between 500 to a few thousand years before their soul gives out, but it will depend on the difficulty of the work and the strength of the soul when put into service.
