Inspirations!

Where do you usually find inspirations when writing? Smut or plot what usually inspires ideas? I’m currently trying to come up with ideas so I’m asking the question what is it you do for this?

okay but realistically, I generally trawl other people's threads to look for ideas, and then reach out to them. I have a stock of ideas and pairings in my own thread that I'm pretty much always game for, and I kinda curated those across the years based on inspiration from various media or just flights of fancy in my own head. Also? Honestly? Truly? It's very fun to find someone who mutually enjoys a specific kink and then flesh out ideas around making that as mutually indulgent and enjoyable as you possibly can. I realize not everyone's going to be satisfied by that approach, but personally, I'm here for vibes and indulgence, I don't care too much about, like, crafting a Very Brilliant Plot.

For me, I find my inspiration through music. What kind of music depends on my mood and with that I'll usually write some things down. That or work on characters. Video games, reading books, and to a lesser extent anime also help me too.

My biggest inspirations are easily anime, manga (manhwa, manhua, webtoons etc.), visual novels, music and a handful of games. If you go into my plots or character-sheets and picked a random one I could definitely point what series, song, game etc. the inspiration for them has come to me. I wear my interests in my sleeve and I am not ashamed to admit that most, if all my plots are largely influenced by series I've enjoy, or at least themes and concepts in them. As for what inspiries me when I write a reply to RP then the music is #1 inspiration. I always listen to music when writing and I aim to pick something that inspires my at that moment. That does lead to some fun combinations like me blasting black metal when writing a wholesome scene, or writing a gory description while some uplifting Shibya-Kei plays.
