It is a time of crisis for the GALACTIC REPUBLIC. Breakaway factions have declared themselves an independent CONFEDERACY OF INDEPENDENT SYSTEMS, plunging the galaxy into civil war. Led by the JEDI KNIGHTS, the Grand Army of the Republic struggles to turn the tide and wrest victory from the jaws of defeat.

On the distant world of DANTOOINE an ancient Jedi Academy is being reopened. Under the tutelage of Jedi Master Marneus Ren a group of young Jedi Knights will be trained as commandos and prepared to fight the rising power of the DARK SIDE

The pitch:
You will be playing one of a select group of recently-promoted Jedi Knights who have been summoned to Dantooine to be trained as commandos before being sent deep into CIS territory to sabotage enemy production facilities, disrupt enemy infrastructure, and hunt down the acolytes of the Dark Side that are the power behind the CIS throne.

You were chosen for this program because of some… unorthodox aspect to your approach to the Code and the Force. You are not a "grey Jedi" or on the verge of falling to the Dark Side. You just… see things from a different perspective.

Ideally, I’d like to get 2-4 players for this.

Ooh, great pitch! I'd love to jump on board.

Here is my character idea:
Newly-minted Alcedian Jedi Knight Tiika Jan Var is one of the finest lightsaber duelists of her generation, but also a bit of a radical. Her views have put her into conflict with the Council often enough and loudly enough that her advancement to knighthood might have come into question, had it not been for the outbreak of the war. Fundamentally, Tiika believes that the Jedi should be doing more; that the Order's dedication to political neutrality and their Republic mandates allows a great deal of darkness to go unchecked throughout the galaxy. Slavery in the Outer Rim, the blatant corruption of some senators and of organizations like the Trade Federation... these all might be difficult situations politically, but how could it be right for the Jedi to ignore them? At heart Tiika does believe in the good done by the Order, but her frustrations with their inaction and commitment to the status quo boils over from time to time.

Ironically, Tiika's views initially made her sympathetic to the separatist movement and Count Dooku's rhetoric. As a Padawan, she'd looked up to him as the kind of Jedi she aspired to be (even if he had technically left the Order); her lightsaber and dueling style are both based on his. In another universe she might have been a perfect recruit for his cause. Unfortunately, not only did he declare war on the galaxy, but he did so by allying with groups like the Federation and Techno Union — and he opened his campaign with an attempted mass public execution of a group of Jedi. Tiika and her master were part of the fighting on Geonosis that day; her master died there. It's unlikely that she will see eye-to-eye with the Confederacy any time soon.

Tiika believes in the Jedi Code in principle, but her drive towards doing what she personally feels is right often leads her to treat rules as guidelines rather than hard restrictions. This sometimes surprises other Jedi who don't know her very well (or haven't heard of her arguments with the Council), as she can otherwise be kind of uptight and a bit of a perfectionist; she's the sort of person who sets incredibly high standards for herself, and is often disappointed that others can't live up to them. Her talent with the saber comes from an incredible amount of dedication and hard training. It's this talent more than anything which has led to her assignment to Marneus Ren's academy. If Dooku has begun training Dark Side acolytes, as the Council believes, then who better to face them than a dedicated duelist?

Oooh. I like this one! Welcome aboard!

I’ll probably get a “character sheet” template thingy put together later, but you hit pretty much everything I’d want to see!
