[CHARACTER NAME: Jhaere]

Jhaere-2.png

Quick Stats
Race/Species
: Air Genasi
Class: Paladin
Subclass: Oath of Glory
Level: 3
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Weapons: Glaive
Items: Plate Armor, TBD, TBD, TBD, TBD
History/Background:
As a air genasi, Jhaere grew up around chaos, and came to hate it. Originally from the frontier lands of Thar, she disliked how her people just tolerated the predations of the ogres and cruel tricks of the fey on passing caravans. But they forbid her to do anything to annoy either of the two groups, just to save a bunch of humans or elves or other lesser beings - by which they largely meant any non-genasi.

She wasn't willing to live by these terms forever, and one day interfered with a fey attack, which annoyed the little wisplings and they complained to her tribe. So she left and wandered. After leaving the gray lands, she was impressed with how civilization turned the land to agriculture and greenery - nothing productive like that ever happened in Thar - and fell in with some Chaunteites, helping to protect the isolated farmers from various threats. But more recently she's started having bad dreams, burning fields, screaming smallfolk, storms rendering the trails impassible. The biting cold part didn't bother her much, it was too warm in these southlands anyhow, though she supposed it wouldn't thrill the farmers. In any case, the dreams are pointing her ... somewhere.

Character Kink List: Arousal + Shame when failing mental saves (Int, Wis, Cha), Pleasure heightened by cold and storms

Player Kink List: Mind Influence, Bondage, Non-con OK, Most partners OK (assuming they don't match the No list, like a monster with a pre-teen face)

Player No-go's: Underage, Mutilation, Toilet Stuff

Mechanical Stuff:
Very Fast (45' speed)
Devoted to Chauntea, Goddess of Agriculture
Strong, athletic and fit
Socially awkward but more than makes up for it with intensity and raw beauty
Easily distracted
Darkvision
Can hold breath indefinitely when concious
Lightning resistant

Race/Species: Human
Class: Fighter
Level: 1
Age: 21
Gender: Male
History/Background:
A young man born in a farming village along the Sword Coast. Having no last name, but still with two loving parents. Ever since he was a child, Samuel was in love with the concept of adventuring. As much as he loved his home and parents, he still yearned to see the wider world. To explore sights lost to time and claim forgotten riches. To become larger than life itself.

A young elven girl, Beatrice, moved to his village. The two became fast friends and did a lot together. Playing, running around the village, chores, their lessons, and sneaking snacks from the kitchen. Also sharing the same love of adventuring with one another.

Everything changed when a collection of monsters invaded his village. Leading them was the lich Vecna. No one was left alive. All of his neighbors, the milita, the cranky old folks, the annoying kids he put up with, and even his parents. All except Beatrice. Vecna had a special interest in her for whatever reason. He tried to save her, but he was nearly killed without much effort.

He awoke to a ruined village and goblins about to kill him for food. Until a woman saved him before putting his limp body over her shoulder. This warrior healed his body before taking him in as her own. Training him to become a force to be reckoned with.

Samuel started his travels along the coast, fighting evil where he can. All while trying to find leads on Vecna and building his own strength.

Name: Kenneth Griffin
Age: 21

1753631215065.jpeg
Background: Kenneth was not simply a young human. He is the reincarnation of a powerful golden dragon, who served under the Bahamut. The dragon god witnessed his vanity and proud nature grow too large. He sought to teach him a lesson of humility and placed him in a weak human form. Reborn to live a life unaware of his true might.

As Kenneth Griffin, he was born in the village of Greenest. The youngest of five children, all of which were sisters. His father a Paladin of Helm, who was often away on business. Kenneth lived a few years in the village before his family officially moved to Baldur's Gate for his father's work.

Through his father's work, he was able to meet Abdel Adrian himself! Kenneth being a big fan due to his heroics in saving the city and world! He was also present during the battle that took his death, against another Bhaal spawn, staying far away to stay alive. He cried having witnessed a personal hero, besides his father, die before him.

The young man quickly became enticed by the concept of serving the city, so he went into the guard. Many assumed it to gain experience to one day work with his father. But he greatly preferred being a guardsman to serve the city directly!

While not the brightest head in the group, he proved himself steadfast and proficient in combat. Preferring the spear as a primary weapon. Popular with some people due to his great approachability and friendly nature. Although seen by many as naive and gullible. He's willing to be soft on most, but will show no mercy to true evil. Especially with cultist of The Dead Three.

Name: Grushik
Age: 29
Background: Born to a orcish mother and a human male. Grushik was born into the savage bone tribe in the plains beyond the coast. His people consisting of nomadic hunter gathers. Being a half breed meant little to his tribe. All they cared for was developing his skills as a warrior and member of their people.

Grushik saw many sights, during his childhood, but never stayed in one place for too long. He became adept in hunting, but preferred direct combat more than anything.

His tribe was one day burnt down by dragon fire. It's rider leading others to slaughter his people. He did what he could, but no one survived. Grushik tracked down the man responsible and slaughtered all his men. The dragon too. But his arrest occurred anyways.

The rider's father took the time to express his gratitude. Because of Grushik, his father is out of the way and felt all his power to him. The resources his people were over would also help solidify his new position. In the end, Grushik accomplished nothing of true note.

The half breed was sent for execution. But fate wasn't done with him. A riot saw his escape and he kept running to the Swordcoast. There he became a wandering mercenary to vent his frustrations.

Hey, all! Just poking my head in to say I'll be putting together a wizard or sorcerer of some sort. Currently leaning towards a Half-Elf Draconic Sorceress, maybe from Candlekeep, but I haven't settled on all the details yet. Hoping to put together a proper sheet after work!

Good to hear. Also it’s level one. Vexen forgot to edit that in.

Sorrry!!! Between work and tripping on my stupid shoes, I am in not great shape. I hit the pavement hard. I can normally breakfall well but I was carrying my lunch. Everything went flying.

Oh. How are we assigning stats? Is it point-buy? How many points if so?

And should we have a separate thread for the character profiles?

I've just grabbed the standard array from the 2024 rules, which I think is 27-point buy.
Speaking of, my character so far:

[CHARACTER NAME: Evelynn of Candlekeep]

Quick Stats
Race/Species: Half-Elf
Class: Sorcerer
Subclass: Draconic Sorcery
Level: 1
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Weapons: Daggers, Spells
Items: Calligraphy supplies, herbalist kit
History/Background:
The monks of Candlekeep found Evelynn on the keep's threshold one frozen winter night, a lone baby abandoned in the dark and snow. Seeing little choice, the monks took her in and raised her — training her as an apprentice scribe and scholar once she grew old enough. As she aged, it became apparent that Evelynn possessed a sorcerer's talent, a degree of innate magic that likely derived from her bloodline or events which had befallen her before her abandonment. The exact cause was a source of considerable debate amongst the keep's scholars, but they never reached a definitive conclusion. The truth is that she has silver dragon blood in her ancestry, but by the time she left Candlekeep it had not manifested itself strongly enough for that to be clear.

Evelynn has lived a peaceful life, and developed a great love of books and learning, but at heart she has a wanderer's spirit. She has spent years reading stories and ancient legends of far-off lands and distant wonders; she's determined to one day see such things for herself, and maybe uncover a bit more about her own heritage. Over the last she's been practicing with her daggers and bothering passing adventurers for survival tips and training, and now she finally feels ready to leave home goodbye and set out on a journey of her own...

Character Kink List:
Public/risky sex. Evelynn grew up in a crowded monastery, and has learned to find a certain thrill in getting away with things and the risk of being caught.
Conversely, Evelynn melts like butter in the face of slow, romantic sex and intimacy. She's never had true privacy to enjoy such things.
Secretly, Evelynn fantasizes what it might be like to be taken by a dragon.

Player Kink List: Interesting situations and scenarios. Build-up and teasing. Smut that feeds plot and characterization.
Non-con ok but ideally not as the main thing driving the game.

Player No-go's: Permanent "bad ends", bathroom stuff, underage characters, pregnancy (for my character, not in general)

Nina

Quick Stats

Race: Changeling
Class: Monk
Subclass: TBD
Level: 1
Age: 26
Gender: Normally Female
Weapons: These hands! (Also some darts for throwing and a dagger for utility)
Items: Explorer's Pack, Lute, Costume, Normal Outfit, 15 GP

Born to a moonless night in a deep forest, Nina was raised by a firbolg man by the name of Dirgham. He was a circus performer, but was (at the time he found her) visiting his home. When Nina came into his life, he tried really hard to find someone who was more suited to parenthood to take her, but when time came for him to go back to the circus, he had not found anyone. And so, he took her with, to raise as his own.

Nina spent much of her life performing, doing daring feats of acrobatics and martial skill, playing her lute, and being a happy youngster. Dirgham, while initially hesitant to raise her, soon found he had a knack for fatherhood, and the two lived happily amongst their circus family.

No tragedy has befallen Nina or her home. Her family, Dirgham included, are still out there, performing and bringing smiles to people's faces. However, Nina herself was bitten by the wanderlust bug, and as a result, left the circus a little less than a year ago. She is currently on her way to Greenest, exploring the world and having a grand ol' time.

Due to her rather sheltered life, Nina is a very trusting person. She's eager to help others, quick with a smile and a kind word. While she's a competent fighter, she's a little hesitant of actually coming to blows if there's another way something could be handled.

Nina's Character Sheet

Small homebrew question: Can I be a Monk that uses Charisma instead of Wisdom? I don't plan on multiclassing, so you don't have to worry about that, but I feel like a more charismatic PC would work better than a wise one for a game such as this.

I built Nina assuming this change was okay. I also built her using 27 point buy.
Lemme know if either of those is wrong!
