The world of Mythris was always a dangerous one. Beasts large and small call the land and sky home, but even so, the Aer have managed to carve an existence out in the mountains -- living in fortress cities constructed in the mountains. This was and is possible thanks to heroes known as Taeleol, Aer born and chosen by Pandrylyr -- elementally-charged, winged dragonwolf mounts -- and granted dominion over their partner's element.Bonded from birth, the Taelesol will train in magic and combat side-by-side with their companion and others, forge their own unique weapon, and use these skills in the defense of their cities.
Though normally focused on hunting monsters that are a threat to the city, a new enemy has emerged for the Taelesol. Pasandrylyr, the dark dragonwolves. Bipedal, twisted echoes of their noble kin, these unrelenting hordes have been attacking the fortress cities at the behest of the Lich. Once a hero of the realm, a Taelesol with a rare healing dominion, it's said he went mad and disappeared into the forests below. But now, he aims to wipe the Aer as they are known off the face of Mythris.
Currently, the plan would be for the player characters to be around 18, just about to start training for real as a squad. The Pasandrylyr threat is still very new, something we likely might not have heard of yet. If you're interested or have questions, don't hesitate to post!
