Some of the more adventurous locals might be familiar with the abandoned quarry just a couple of miles from the campus. Technically private land, the no trespassing signs always had a way of disappearing and the far away corporate owners had little actual interest in it. But in the warmer months, its crystal clear waters were a refreshing getaway from those who were not intimidated by the slight illegality and short hike through the scrub of the old road left to grow wild. It was by no means a physical test of endurance to get there, but it helped if you knew the way already.

There were some beautiful vistas overlooking the water with gut check dives to prove ones courage among his peers. Harder to find trails lead to more secluded corners that don't require a death defying dive into the water. Those secluded areas were also a frequent destination for those adventurous in a different way for skinny dipping or other expressions of young lust.

Drew wasn't totally oblivious and noticed her less than enthusiastic response to a refreshing break after a long day of summer classes. "It's all part of the tribal initiation. I thought you wanted in?" He said, stepping back a bit as if he might be having second thoughts about her. After all, if she wasn't the adventurous type, he wasn't going to waste his first taste of college on a frigid princess.

Being a small town boy, Drew hadn't been raised on warnings about boys only wanting one thing and how to be cautious of strangers. So he wasn't as attuned to the alarm bells that should have been going off for his new infatuation. He was amused at her reaction to his truck, not all that unusual here in the mountains but probably not that typical back on the west coast except maybe with the surfing crowd.

Once on the road, his hand had more time to explore her smooth thigh. Damn she had nice legs and he was anxious to see and feel more of her. "You got damn nice legs." He said, though the route he took required him to keep his eyes on the road as much as he might be tempted by her. He was getting hard just thinking about and touching her. The next time he pulled his hand away to shift he needed to adjust his growing erection before it became painful. "You put the distracted in distracted driving you know." He said teasingly but in good humor. He pulled off the road and onto a gravel drive that didn't look much used. If this were a horror movie the audience would definitely be telling her not to go with him. They bounced and swerved in through the woods then there was a wider open area where he parked the truck.

He pulled a rolled up blanket bundle out of a diamond plate box in the back of his truck bed and threw it over one shoulder and extended his other arm around her. "It's just a bit this way, easy hike." The trail was more clearly worn than might have been imagined at a couple of hundred yards in the woods fell away and they were overlooking the clear blue waters of the quarry. "Hillbilly paradise." He proclaimed with a genuine smile as he looked down. "There's a secluded little beach all to ourselves just down the path there."

The path went downward following the corner of the open quarry and much as described there was an opening near the water level that was fairly secluded by a combination of rock and brush. It showed signs of having been deliberately cleared and remnants of past camp fires and parties were evident. The rock landing was smooth and flat, it was no white sand beach but in the blue ridge mountains, it was about as close as you could get.

Drew unrolled the blanket, a few towels and fire starter were contained within. Drew took off his shirt, exposing his well toned chest and tossed it onto the blanket. He watched Catharine eagerly for her to follow suit as his hands went to his belt. "You aren't bashful are you?" He said, as much a challenge as a question or concern.
