Is it possible for someone you don't know to just... Somehow get access to your BMR referral link without your consent or knowledge...? Cause someone I don't recognize just signed up using my link apparently... But I haven't given anyone my referral link in a long azz time... 3 years to be exact.

I believe that on signup, you can just select any member you like as referral, without requiring their referral link. See also this thread.
that seems... remarkably redundant... What is even the point of a referral system if that's the case? What if they end up being an absolute turd? That just reflects badly on you for no reason doesn't it?
If any mod sees this, please remove any link between myself and "calinajames". I'm not able to contact them and this is causing me great anxiety. I understand it may sound silly or childish or whatever, but I've genuinely had nothing but awful experiences with situations like this and it's caused me to feel very apprehensive when things like this happen.
