In An Inn On The Shore
"Did I ever tell you about the time I met Hurtzfield's daughter?"
"You're telling me Gregory Hurtzfield had a kid? Who the hell could the mom be?"
"He didn't have one normally. He made her-she's a machine."
"Heh. That guy always was a lunatic."
"Genius too."
Off The Coast, In Madman's Cove
"Dad?"
"Yes Connie?"
"Do you really have to go?"
"I'm sorry. I do."
"Be safe, okay?"
"Of course. I'll be back in a month. I love you."
"I love you too, dad."
Three Months Later
Connie wasn't really ready to admit to herself that her dad was gone. Her rational mind knew well that it was three times as long as it should've been-simply delays couldn't explain it. Her father wasn't coming back. And that meant she had to leave. She had to find her own way.
She just hoped she was ready.

In the spoiler above is a little blurb, written as three very short vignettes, about the characters I have for this RP.
The two people in the first vignette are simply associates of the good doctor, and I don't intend for them to be important.
The other two characters are Doctor Gregory Hurtzfield-inventor, machinist, artificer, scholar... He has a lot of titles. A lot of jobs.
And his daughter (and my character for this)-Connie Hurtzfield. A clockwork construction, that, for reasons unknown to herself and her father, has proper sentience. Gregory did, at first, try to replicate his success with Connie, but found that whatever spark gave her a proper mind had apparently vanished.
Connie is a mechanical naga, standing about five feet tall normally. From tip to tail, though, she's close to ten feet, with a lot of her lower snake body trailing behind. From the waist up, she looks mostly like a normal woman, if one made of metal.
Her life has largely been spent at Madman's Cove, where her father set up his laboratory. She's been to the mainland a few times, accompanying Gregory to get materials, documents, or other miscellaneous supplies. She's still rather sheltered, lacking a lot of practical experience; but does have a wealth of academic knowledge.
The general vibe of the setting is semi-fantasy, semi-steampunk. There's mages and alchemists, but also scientists and machinists.
For a little info on me, you can look at the F-List in my signature. Beyond that, I tend to RP very improvisation heavy, with a typical post length of 100-300 words. I prefer to RP on threads, but PMs are absolutely fine too. And I like to have a good mixture of story and smut.
