Celestia perked her head up from her bed when the sounds of battle rung into her bedchamber. She sat up, running her fingers through her head tendrils with a yawn and a big stretch. It sounded as though her servants were fighting off intruders...a great many intruders by the ruckus they were making. Her bed was a massive circle, padded with a multitude of angel down pillows and silken sheets. It stood raised nearly thirty feet in the air atop a great obsidian pyramid backed against the far wall. Only three staircases marred the sheer surface of the black stone.
The rest of the chamber was pure blood marble. Pure white marred only by crimson veins of a gem not found on the mortal plane. After a good long stretch she sat back down and summoned a pair of her honor guards. Ethereal suits of armor filled only with magic.
"Go see what the fuss is will you?" She turned around and prodded the man sleeping face up on her bed. His jaw was slack, he didn't respond. She prodded him again then held her hand to his forehead. With a sigh she removed it. Dead. Again. It was becoming harder and harder to find men capable of surviving a night with her these days.
"Oh well. Waste not..." She held her hand to his chest and his flesh began to dissolve, pulling into her hand bit by bit until he was no more. Consuming his essence was quite refreshing, in fact she was glowing lightly. She decided to wait and see who was so bold as to invade her sanctum. Still unclothed she crossed her legs and leaned back on the bed, waiting for the intruders to reach her.
