ALERT: STORM INCOMING, HIGH RISK TO LIFE, PLEASE REMAIN IN DOORS

Thunder.
These storms always started with thunder. They didn't arrive to New Eridu often, but on the rare occasion that they did, they arrived with a clap of the elements. A fork of lightning or three. It hadn't helped that the storm arrived with relatively little to no warning with officers of PUBSEC scrambling all over New Eridu to help citizens find shelter. Though Zhu Yuan had definitely not anticipated the Public Security station to be as empty as it now was.
The only people present in the station were Qingyi and herself... And an Officer Mew-Mew costume that Zhu had to cram into a supply closet to ensure it wasn't within sightline of any kids the next time the station opened up again. A single gloved hand reached up to slowly rub her temple as the other one scratched a pen against paper, filling out the usual rank and file forms of day-to-day patrols. To Zhu Yuan's left was her phone, having just been used to exchange a game of 1 answer, 50 questions with her parents fussing over her wellbeing.
Another clap of thunder, a flash of light flooding the room for a brief few seconds as a fork of lightning struck the earth. Zhu didn't react, too focused on the steaming hot cup of... Who made this one? Tentatively the officer reached a hand out to grasp the cup and gently swirl its contents, bringing it just under her nose for an investigative sniff.
Qingyi definitely made this. There was no distinct smell to it, just a little cup of hot water... And Zhu was still quite cold after being caught in the initial flash of the storm. Zhu had asked her to retrieve some of her spare civilian clothes to change into. The station was built to withstand Hollow Disasters, a storm like this wouldn't do much, if any damage. Stealing a moment away from her thoughts, paperwork, and phone, Zhu glanced around the office... Qingyi wasn't here... And would she really have kept track of the exact amount of water in this one, singular cup?
She invited herself to have just one, little sip. Hot water didn't exactly taste as nice as coffee or even some varieties of tea, but... Well. It warmed her up just a touch. A smidgem. And Qingyi wasn't here to boast the health and beauty benefits of drinking hot water, or lecture her on how drinking hot water was good for a long-lasting, youthful appearance. Zhu lowered the cup with that thought complete, the rest of her form still yet to be finalized, and the cup... Now... Zhu glanced down at the contents of the cup. Or lack thereof.
