Vlad, a stereotypical name for a vampire and one that he cursed his parents for every day of his life. If he hadn't already killed them in order to gain control of their fortune and his fathers place on the court he probably would have killed them just for the name.
Of course Vlad had spent much of his thirty years of life teaching others not to point out how old fashioned his name was. By this point people had learned no to cross him but occasionally a lesson would still have to be made. In fact at that very moment he was finishing teaching such a lesson to a vampire who had earned his ire, some lowly member of his manor guard whom he had caught eying his favorite toy.
“You really should have known better.” He said to his whimpering captive, currently chained to a wall while Vlad washed himself off in a stream of water pouring from a drainpipe in the dungeon, the blood covering his entire six foot frame, every single inch of his well toned body was practically drenched in it and his messy short black hair had become matted in it, even his eyes which had been compared to chips of eyes had been hard to see through the mess. “She belongs to me, and if you covet what is mine then it is better that you walk into the daylight rather then let me find out about it.”
He smiled a little bit at his reflection as he saw that the blood had finally be scoured from his body, he didn't mind getting his hands dirty but he wouldn't have them stay that way. After a few moments to admire the perfection that was his own form be began to get dressed, pulling back on a shirt and then a long coat. “You will notice a grate above you.” He said slowly, a little in love with the sound of his own voice. “Come morning the suns light will fill this chamber and reduce you to dust... now please excuse me, its time to feed my pet.”
And with that he set up the stairs, quite in the mood for some entertainment.
