Hello, hello! I've recently returned to role-play after a long hiatus, and I'm looking to kick things off with a plot heavily inspired by my recent foray into Baldur's Gate 3!
But first, an introduction:
I'm FacelessCambion, and I have around fifteen years of experience role-playing in various forms. I have the most experience in written play-by-post role-play, and it is far and away my favorite way to RP. I love to write in general, and I get just as much enjoyment in crafting a story and atmosphere with another person as playing out smutty scenarios.
My favorite genre to write in is horror, and I enjoy having some aspect of it in all of my role-plays. This can take many forms, and I enjoy having tinges of it even in slice-of-life romance or fantasy adventure stories. Think of plots where a woman falls in love with a long-dead spirit, or for the latter, something along the lines of Clive Barker's Imajica or The Dark Tower series, where the weird and horrific goes hand in hand with epic adventure and self-discovery.
Moving on to my writing preferences, I prefer long-form and slow-paced role-plays with a decent post length and a focus on interesting characters interacting with each other in something plot-heavy. I only write in third person, and I prefer at least 50/50 story and smut, with some plots being closer to 75/25. Building anticipation (and often times dread) is key to my enjoyment of a smutty role-play; without a proper buildup, I don't really get much out of writing the actual smut. I need context; I need to know who these people are. With that said, I love when bread crumbs are thrown in up until that point too—teasing, flirting, or, depending on the role-play, some sort of humiliation or punishment. It doesn't need to be totally sexless up until the first climax—which brings me to my O/Os.
I have two opposed types of erotic role-plays I seek out the most. Firstly, MC has an enemy-to-lovers romance with someone who is somehow horrific or monstrous, whether they're a simple vampire or a Lovecraftian abomination. Secondly, a powerful evil bastard has MC under his thumb somehow.
Let me expand on each:
The first idea is pretty self-explanatory. I love role-plays where MC has a relationship with something inhuman and terrifying. The enemy-to-lovers angle mainly comes from the fact that I want them to feel like an actual horror monster, to be dangerous and even somewhat grotesque. I want a horror story that somehow turns into romance, not a horror-themed love story. I have no real limits on what shape this might take, and the plot would depend on the nature of the creature involved. Though there might be an apparent risk of danger, I like to keep these plots pretty vanilla as far as kinks go. I don't want these sorts of role-plays to feel bittersweet when it comes to the two leads, and most of the ons I'd include in other role-plays would be avoided here.
The second idea has played out in lots of different ways. Sometimes it's direct, and MC is captured by someone unsavory, be it a bandit lord and his outlaws, the otherworldly leader of an invading army from another dimension, the ruthless leader of a group of fanatic monster hunters, and so on. Other times it's more insidious, like MC being forced into debt slavery by a powerful landowner, MC being tricked into robbing a lord solely so they can use it to blackmail her, or a game of cat and mouse that MC doesn't even realize she's a part of until it's far too late. I like to play action oriented character in these sorts of plot's who get themselves in trouble. My ideal version of this idea would include some of both, something along the lines of Jonathan Harker in the beginning of Dracula, both physically detained and caught in a web he doesn't fully understand by a man who is imposing, powerful, and inhuman. MC being some sort of low status and somehow drawing the attention of someone so much more powerful than her that it's impossible for her to even reckon, being drawn deeper and deeper into his web while losing more and more avenues of escape, knowing in the back of her mind how this has to end but refusing to give in until there is nowhere else to go—every way she turns, she faces him—It's probably the kind of ERP I find the most exciting ^^"
I have one main idea I'm craving at the moment, inspired by BG3:
MC is an assassin in a low-magic fantasy world who's at the end of her rope. She killed someone powerful out of passion, and now both the law and her own company are out for her blood. In desperation she summons YC, or maybe YC simply appears and offers her a deal that seems too good to be true. In her panic she doesn't pause to think and takes the offer at once.
Everyone has forgotten her, not just her crimes but her name, her face—everything she had ever done. It's like she was never born. But that is only the start. She is his assassin now, and she will take every single soul he points his clawed finger in the direction of, or she will be his, body and mind, and she will have no choice but to kill.
Slowly, the demon starts to make his intentions known, each target harder to find, harder to reach, and harder to live with killing. Each target requires more of her. He has no aims on the mortal realm; this is a game to him, one he intends on both winning and savoring. Every time she fails him, it becomes harder to succeed. Perhaps just threats at first—a snap of his fingers and she's naked and disarmed, surrounded by his twisted servants, leering and similarly disrobed, only for them to disappear a moment later with another snap. Later she can feel his hands on her no matter where she is, day or night. A killing strike misses by a hair's breadth after she feels his hand between her legs—only for a moment, but enough to cost her time and potentially more of her freedom...
This is just the kernel of an idea so far; how it turns out depends on what you might be looking for.
I'd really like to play someone like my character in BG3 for this, but the specifics don't need to be too similar. She was a Tiefling assassin that I imagined as a sort of person who was self-interested but not completely cold. She's pictured below. I don't tend to use images for my characters, but this idea is still really fresh, and maybe it will help spark some ideas. I can be pretty flexible with her depending on whatever you might be looking for, as long as the general vibe is the same. I will likely write a description for her that will vary depending on your preferences.
