A bit about myself
- My name is Adelphia. You can call me Adelphi, Dell, Della, Delli, the Oracle of Delphi, Todd, Hey you, what ever floats your boat.
- I would probably place myself at an intermediate writing level when I've had my coffee for the day.
- I'm a complete hopeless romantic. I love a slow burn, love building that tension between the two as they start to realize their feelings for each other, love that moment when they finally get together/ have their first kiss. So that's definitely an element I want to incorporate/ keep in mind throughout the role plays.
- In regards to plots, I usually tend to favor historical, fantasy, or paranormal aspects (I do want to dip my toes into dark fantasy as well I just don't have much experience in it as of yet). That being said, I'm generally not overly picky when it comes to themes/ the mixing of themes. I have a hard time with horror, but that's mainly because I get frightened easily, which makes my love of watching horror game walkthroughs somewhat complicated.
- I prefer writing as a female in MxF pairings, but I'm also fine doubling up!! With doubling up I'm also down for one of them being a MxM pairing, though I don't have as much experience with that so warning!

I'm aiming for this to be a kind of dumping ground for ideas that are only a couple of sentences long, short scenes that could lead to a full roleplay but don't necessarily have any sort of plot, etc.

The Scars of War- This was originally inspired by the manga/anime Rurouni Kenshin. I was thinking in the recent after math of a war two feared warriors/ assassin's meet in their new lives. Not recognizing each other, will the complications following their prestigious reputations precede them?

Plots
In the Kingdom Silene, your blood determines your class and blood that contains a magical lineage is as good as gold. For those who were blessed enough to have such blue blood running through their veins, they have all the spoils that being the upper class provides them. For those who were unfortunate enough to be born without such luck, a life of hardship in toils is all to common. However, there exists a class that blurs this class divide. Of a chosen few, raw magic is infused into their very skin. An excruciating and painful process that leaves the individual able to perform incredible physical feats, among other such abilities. A warrior class at the upper echelon's disposal.
MC was a noble woman born into a family talented though social quite middling mages. When a string of kidnappings rocks their small city, MC's elder brother takes it upon himself to hire one of the warrior class.

MC and YC would play as children under a sprawling sun. A first young love whose smile and heart are forever burned on her own. Though their happy times would not last as fate forces the pair a part. A decade pass and MC's Kingdom is on the losing side of a hard fought war. Gathered among other noble women of the losing Kingdom's families, they are assessed thoroughly as they are prepared to be dispersed among the warriors. Having served as a healer during the war, and with family long since passed, MC is slated as the wife of a warrior who showed true strength during their battles.
So this is where I can see it going a few different ways. Either one or both of them recognize one/each other and MC is placed with YC that way. Or MC is placed with YC by sheer coincidence and it's only until later in the story that they connect the dots of who the other actually is.
Possible plot to lead up to the above:
At birth they were promised to each other in hopes of peace between two long feuding nations. To foster a relationship between the two the families would meet each summer for one week at a country palace built specifically for their interaction. They grow cordial and even potential develop crushes/ look forward to marrying the other when they reach the age.
However, as teenagers there could be some sort of dispute (perhaps one allied with another nation, one of the ruling king's passed and perhaps one of the uncle's or advisors briefly takes power and takes the opportunity to declare war on the other). As the heirs, fearing assassination from either side, they could have been placed in the protection of a family or organization (eg. YC could be placed with an army to train, MC could be placed with a religious organization that perhaps celebrates the goddess of healing), to hide their identities until the war's end. If you want to make it even more of a surprise when they find out who the other is, they could have heard one-various rumors of how they other perished throughout the war and just assumed they had met such a fate.

MC could have been having a better week. Sold to the Imperial Palace as a servant to collect on her step father's debts. Flying relatively under the radar her first few months in the palace as she works dutifully to clean every inch of the palace.
YC is the heir apparent of the ailing ruler. Though not the eldest, he has earned the position through his own merit. All he must do to inherit is live long enough to succeed his father; a task which is much easier said than done given his father's love of women and a court that cares little if one is illegitimate so long as you possess the right qualities.
After saving YC from an attempted poisoning the pair form an unusual alliance. Posing as his royal consort MC uses her knowledge of medical herbs and poisons to serve as a most bizarre bodyguard.

This one doesn't have too much of a fleshed out plot. The basic premise is MC and YC, for their own reasons, are eager for housing. When a luxury apartment complex opens up they both jump at the opportunity to put their names on the list. However, a combination of a coincidentally the same last name, and the small hiccup that the complex is only available for married/ long term couples, they were booked under the assumption of the pair being a married couple. With no other options and both desperate for the place, they both sign on the dotted line (after a session of hushed and frantic whispers under the guise of discussing the apartment itself).
MC had never known much of her maternal side of the family. From what she was able to pull, she had surmised that her mother had distanced herself from her family after marrying a man, MC's father, who they had greatly disapproved of.
Flash forward what felt like a life time, MC loses her mother following a sudden illness and is dumped quiet spectacularly by her college boyfriend in the span of a few short weeks. Having lost her father long ago, MC is sitting quite lost when she receives a letter requesting her appearance at a popular and rather upscale hotel at the request of her maternal grandfather.
With nothing to lose and her curiosity well and truly peeked, she arrives at the agreed upon location where she is escorted to a plush conference room. After waiting a few moments an elderly man with a kind smile makes his way into the room.
Following some awkward niceties, her maternal grandfather explains why he requested she come. With her mother passed, and no other living grandchildren, a business that has been in his family for generations is now in jeopardy. He has a partner that he believes is confident would guide the large and thriving business through such times, the only thing that is missing is the blood ties. Acknowledging the somewhat precarious position he's putting her in, particularly after their distant relationship, he begs she considers even offering his own home as a space where the couple could get a chance to know one another.
