Starter: 'Day 33, November 3rd 2020 2:00 pm in the afternoon. This apocalypse has been going on for 33 days, so far I've survived by fleeing the cities and hotwiring cars one after another heading to rural and urban areas. But the amount of undamaged cars I find that can be hotwired has been diminishing. I have to consider, looking for gas cans to siphon gas from vehicles. I've opted to head north, despite not having any winter gear but it seems smart, i'm sure I can find some. Unfortunately supplies are running low, I hope I find a place I can loot.'
A man named James paused as he put his pen away, before closing the notebook he was using a journal. He was parked on the side of the highway, sitting inside a red bloody and scratched pickup truck. To his left and right were large cornfields spanning miles in either direction. He was hoping to reach a suitable place that could serve as a base for more than a few days. Plus winter was about a month away so he wanted to be ready since he suspected the zombies would be worse then. At this point James was only worried about his own survival, no one else's.
Having put away the notebook he started the truck back up, starting to drive down the road. Going in the same direction, he has been for awhile now, the windows in the truck rolled up. As he drove down the road, he started noticing a few zombies wandering around on the road. But watched as they immediately started running towards his truck as he drove by. However he was able to out speed them, once they were out of sight he slowed down slightly.
Then about 2 miles ahead he noticed a crashed vehicle in the middle of the road. It was also a pickup truck but yellow and the hood was smoking. Upon further inspection, he noticed that both of the doors were yanked open almost ripped off. Slowing down as to not attract them, he was close enough to see that there were three undead around the vehicle. Two of them appeared to be feasting on the flesh of two bodies, while the third looked like it was trying to pull something out of the truck. Seconds later he spotted the third briefly come out of the vehicle with something in its hands like something pushed, punched or kicked it. Its left hand was wrapped around someone's forearm pulling on it. Its right hand grabbing a fistful of someone's shirt and attached to that shirt was a female that was very clearly trying to prevent herself from being pulled out of the truck. A grim smirk crossing his face as he thought about intervening but decided it wasn't his problem and to keep driving, looking at the corpses on the ground as he drove by. Both appeared to be female and male adult bodies, he kept driving as he heard the screaming of a young female. He wondered if she could she save herself or if she would become just another dead body in the world? Too bad he didn't care as he sped up and both him and his truck eventually disappeared in the distance.
