Kelly hadn't really been looking forward to this weekend. A big gathering of her mom's family. Her grandparents had invited everyone to a resort on the coast, so there'd be about two dozen of her kin around all weekend. Not that she didn't like her family, but she didn't really want to be around them all the time. Well, there was one exception, Tina. Kelly and Tina were only about six months apart, and had always been very close. Tina's family and her own had often celebrated the holidays together, visited each other for birthdays, and they'd gone on quite a few holidays together. Because of their age, the girls would always play together, and grew up almost like sisters, often staying in the same room, and hanging out during the day.

But the last few years it had been harder to keep together. As Kelly had moved out of state for college, she had less chances to visit, and while they had stayed in contact on social media, and even vidcalled each other now and then, it just wasn't the same. So when she'd heard Tina had arrived at the hotel early, Kelly had decided to surprise her favorite cousin with a visit.

She'd spend quite a while getting ready, at one point she'd silently joked to herself she put more time into this, than she would for a date. She'd put on a rather low cut black dress with barely noticeable vertical stripes that would accentuate her rather impressive height. She loved the dress, but wearing it meant she'd have to forego wearing a brassiere as it would be far too visible. She doubted Tina would mind too much, they were family, and they'd seen each other fully naked before, so she doubted a little cleavage would bother her.

Kelly's hair was pulled down into a ponytail, and she'd done her face just a little. She put on a pair of black stilettos, meaning that she appeared even taller still, but she didn't get many chances to wear heels, and she liked how they made her legs and backside look. She grabbed her purse and a small bag containing a bottle of rum she'd picked up from Cuba when she wet there earlier this year. She wasn't much of a drinker, but she'd really loved the taste, and when she'd told Tina about it, the other girl had expressed interest in trying it. And, Kelly thought, no time like today. They might need it, considering what the weekend would bring.

She got into a cab, heading to the resort. Her dad had promised they'd pick up her bags, so no need to worry about those. Arriving at the hotel, she checked in, and asked if Tina had arrived yet. When the receptionist confirmed that her cousin had arrived an hour earlier, Kelly's heart skipped a beat. She doublechecked the room number, got into the elevator, and crossed the hall, taking a few breaths and nervously straightening her dress before knocking on the door.

Tina's parents were mostly well off. They made their money through real estate with buying and selling houses so they were the ones that usually planned these family reunions. Sure, there were parts of Tina's family that she didn't want to associate with... but there was Kelly. Even though Tina was sort of tall at around 5'10', Kelly was even taller than that. Height differences aside, Tina really looked forward to seeing Kelly. To her, it was as if they had a special connection. She wasn't quite sure what that connection was but with her sexuality becoming more realized, she knew at least one thing... she loved other women. She never really explored any relationships with other women but she did have a deep crush with Kelly. Yes, they were cousins by blood but that didn't stop Tina from using her imagination when she was alone.

Yes, it was at least six months since Tina last saw Kelly with her own two eyes. Though Kelly moved out of state to pursue her college dreams, Tina tried as much as she could to keep in contact with Kelly. Sometimes, it was just phone calls but she really relished the time that they could talk to each other on either FaceTime or Zoom. Each time that they talked, Tina's heart kept swooning as they talked about most everything that came to their minds. Though there were some things that Tina disagreed with Kelly about certain things, they seemed to maintain a very good relationship in her mind.

The time for the reunion was finally happening. The short haired pixie cut Tina couldn't decide what to wear. A side of her wanted to frill herself up by wearing a light colored dress... but the more natural side of her just wanted to dress herself up in a t-shirt and comfortable jeans. Was it a date? Tina wasn't quite sure so she decided to go with her natural look... a light blue shirt with a couple of buttons near the top and her most comfortable pair of jeans. Packing enough clothes to last a couple of days, she took the hour long drive to the resort. Thank the Goddess for recharging stations. In her dark red Tesla Model 3, she finally made her way to the resort and checked into the hotel. She really looked forward to having a few drinks of Cuban Rum that Kelly told her about. Though Tina drank on occasion, this seemed to be a very special one to her.

Finally making her way to the hotel, she settled into her room. It only had one queen sized bed in it as there was a small refrigerator and a decent sixed TV in it. Tina made sure to bring her wireless speaker in case they wanted to listen to any music... along with her laptop in case they wanted to see anything along the lines of YouTube.

As Tina waited for Kelly to arrive, she settled herself into the hotel room. Placing her laptop and speaker onto the desk, she turned it on and started to scour the internet while she waited for Kelly to arrive. Stretching out her legs, she really looked forward to see her favorite cousin again. All she could do now was wait and hope for the best that was yet to come.

Kelly walked into the room and hugged her cousin Tina. It was a long, and rather tight hug, but they hadn't seen each other in months, and well, she'd always been rather fond of her cousin and best friend. She giggled internally as once again, she'd totally misjudged the situation. Kelly had assumed they'd drink a few glasses of the rum, then go downstairs to the bar, maybe see if there were any cute guys there, or maybe girls in her cousin's case. But obviously Tina had planned on an evening in the hotel room, judging from her cute but rather homely outfit. Kelly thought she would feel disappointed, but oddly she didn't. The thought of spending the entire evening with her favorite person was just as much, if not more enticing than hunting the bars downstairs. And besides, there'd be plenty of time for that later on in the weekend. It's not like she was planning on spending the whole time with her boring ass family.


"Hey sweetie!" She said, genuinely happy, after kissing Tina on the cheek, then, looking around the room and noticing there wasn't anywhere else to sit, she sat down on the foot end of the bed as she looked at Tina. "How have you been?" She pulled the bottle out of her purse and held it out for Tina to put away. "You look great hun, though I guess I should have checked on your plans. I feel slightly overdressed now." She laughed a genuinely hearty laugh which made it clear that she was joking rather than actually upset about the mix-up She took off her shoes so she could sit more comfortably, though at 6'3" she still had to stretch out her legs on the floor in front of her, hoping they weren't in the way of her cousin.

It was odd how, sitting here in this strange hotelroom she instantly fell at home because Tina was here. Whenever she saw her cousin, there was this warm glow inside her that she couldn't quite place. A feeling of belonging that she'd never felt with anyone else, and the feeling in her stomach, a bit like butterflies. People said you get butterflies when you saw the man of your dreams, but Kelly had never felt them with any man, just with Tina, so it must go for cousins you loved dearly too.

Tina was a little bit surprised that she didn't get a hotel room that had a key card entry in it as soon as Kelly came into their room. Nonetheless, she was really happy to see her favorite cousin... so much so that she returned the hug from her much taller cousin. Deep in her mind, she wanted to cusp Kelly's perfect butt in her arms but wrapping her arms around Kelly's waist after her cousin kissed her on her left cheek was such a great alternative.

Truthfully, Tina didn't have any real plans for this weekend. Her life was to go with the flow and whatever made her happy, that was the life that she led. After releasing the hug, Tina saw Kelly make her way onto the bed as she admired the blonde haired beauty that was her cousin. "I've been good. I missed you bunches." She giggled at the end before seeing the rum bottle coming out of Kelly's bag. Taking the rum bottle from her cousin's hand, she placed it on top of the refrigerator before looking back at Kelly. "You look so awesome... maybe a little overdressed but that's my fault in not telling you that this wasn't a formal event." She replied back to the joke with a round of soft giggles. Seeing Kelly take off her heels, Tina was used to her cousin's height. Stepping back just a small bit, she let Kelly stretch out her legs, knowing that the cab ride was a long journey for her.

To Tina, it seemed to her that being with Kelly was so natural... so... perfect. She was very glad that she came out to Kelly with her sexuality a year ago. Kelly was the only person that Tina could trust with her secret... and she knew that Kelly would not tell a soul about it, even if she was asked. Yes, the hotel room seemed to be like home and Tina was starting to get the same butterflies in her stomach that Kelly seemed to be experiencing. Her face started to get a little red as she looked at the rum but also the TV and laptop. "Is there anything that you want to see or do while you unwind from your long trip?" She asked, picking up the rum bottle and seeing a couple of red solo cups nearby. "I did get me some coke to mix up the rum if you like... but I have a feeling that you like it straight up?" She asked with a wink of her eye.

Kelly looked at Tina and smiled. "Well, people might not see me dancing in this dress tonight, but truth be told, I'm perfectly happy spending an evening on the couch..." She looked around and chuckled. " Well, on the bed I guess, with my favorite cousin anyway." She looked back at Tina, and, not for the first time, wondered whether she noticed a change in her cousin, a nervousness in her mannerisms. She wondered if there was something her cousin was keeping from her, but that was silly really. Tina had always told Kelly everything and vice versa, so she must be imagining things.

Kelly relaxed and moved backwards on the bed, her back up against the bedrest as she nodded. The joke about her drinking it straight, a comment to both their sexualities didn't land in her head at first, mostly because she never looked at Tina as her 'gay cousin.' She just saw her as the person she loved. Probably the person she loved most in the world. Kelly loved her parents, but she never really felt connected to them like she did with Tina, and well, she never really had a boyfriend. There'd been boys, there'd been kisses, even some fondling, but Kelly had never really felt anything for any of them, probably because she was too busy with school, and with basketball. She looked up at Tina "Yes, straight up please." And then as the comment finally landed. "Just like me, a straight drink for a straight girl."

She took the cup from Tina, and waited for the girl to fill her own drink as well, then patted on the bed next to her. In her head she made a silly comment about how they hadn't shared a bed together in years, but really, she felt it would be nice, both sitting, or even lying here, chatting, drinking, just enjoying each other's company. "Just come sit here. Put on something, anything that i don't have to think about is good with me. I just wanna hang with you, talk, laugh, and just be together like we used to be. I mean college is great and all, but I still miss my favorite cousin a lot."

She took a sip from the rum, and immediately felt the warmth fill her body. Maybe it was something else that made her feel that way? But Kelly had no clue, to her, everything was just like it should be.

Tina couldn't help but to let out a chuckle hearing Kelly's remark about being straight in more ways than one. Filling up Kelly's drink of straight rum and then her own with a mix of Rum and Coke, she handed over her favorite cousin's drink to her while keeping her other hand on her own drink. "Of course! My favorite cousin's wish is my command!" Tina exclaimed while going through her laptop, feeling glad that she hooked it up to the TV. Going through some movies in the various streaming services, she wound up on Hulu to find the movie "Booksmart". It was a story about two female best friends, one gay and the other seemingly straight as they try to cram in four years of fun into one night before they separate into the college world.

Tina already had the clues that Kelly was thinking about. From a distance, she was crushing on Kelly ever since they were teenagers. The thing was that she was waiting for Kelly to hopefully experience the same feelings that she was. She was not about to push her favorite cousin one way or the other. She wanted Kelly to hopefully discover herself on her own. if Kelly turned out to be gay just like her, Tina would be ecstatic... but if not, than they could be 'kissing cousins' that could share more than the rest of their family could.

Moving onto the bed to the right side of Kelly, Tina let out a small smile as the movie started. Looking up at her favorite cousin, she raised her cup in a toast. "Here's to you! Kelly, my favorite cousin and the only one that shares my secrets. Here's to you... showing up when I really need you." She toasted as the movie progressed.. Moving her left arm around Kelly's back, she tried to get as close as she could to her favorite cousin. Would Kelly do the same? Tina could only hope.

Kelly smiled and answered the toast with her own cup. "And to you Tina, the one person in this family I really wanted to see this weekend." She felt slightly guilty about that now that she said it out loud, she loved her family, she just really didn't like spending a whole weekend with them. But she wouldn't mind a whole weekend with just Tina. She felt how Tina sat next to her, very close, and it felt really nice. She moved slightly forward to let Tina's arm in behind her back, and then wrapped her own arms around her cousin's shoulders, pulling the girl into her, and letting her head rest against the side of her chest as she smiled down, kissing the top of Tina's head. "I know I've only said it fifty times since i walked in here, but i really missed being with you."

Kelly tried to pay attention to the movie, it was actually quite interesting, and she thought it was quite fitting to see a movie about a gay girl and her stray best friend. Kelly thought if they hadn't been cousins, they woud still be best friends, just like these girls. She took another swig of her rum, she really liked it, but perhaps she should pace herself. Then again, she was here with Tina, what was the worst that could happen. Maybe she'd fall asleep here, in the bed with Tina, it wasn't like that happened before. She felt the warmth running through her body, and noticed that the butterflies had become way more active. Odd, what was it about this that made her so intensely happy? "So, how's things with your mom and dad now? I mean how are you holding up there?" She asked, knowing her aunt and uncle all to well, and how they would react to Tina if they knew.

Feeling Kelly's arm wrapping around her own body, Tina felt like she was in heaven at this wonderful moment. Being able to embrace her cousin like this was a magical moment for her. She was starting to feel like this was a very blissful moment. Sure, she wanted to see Kelly the most out of her family. It was like they had an attraction that could only be described as the term of 'Kissing cousins'. Though she knew that they never kissed before, it was a dream for Tina to finally be able to be closer to her cousin in more ways than one. She did show signs of wanting to be closer, Tina was willing to wait until Kelly felt that this could be right for her. If it wasn't right, than life has it's way of showing it's differences.

"Truthfully, you are the only one out of our family that I truly wanted to see. Yeah, you said it over and over that you missed me... but really, the feeling is so mutual." She replied back while taking a swig of her mixed drink. How Kelly can take the rum straight up amazed her a bit but she was not about to change her cousin's habits. Deep inside, Tina could feel her own body becoming warm. Though her own butterflies were not as active as her cousin, she could feel them as well. It seemed that the question about her own parents let some of the happiness go away for just a bit. Letting out a soft sigh, Tina responded back in almost a subdued voice.

"Mom and Dad are not on speaking terms anymore. They separated three months ago after Dad found out that Mom was seeing... another woman. Maybe she was a late bloomer? I guess that she was. Maybe that can be why I am who I am with my sexuality? I don't know for sure. All I know is that they filed for divorce last month and Mom moved over to San Francisco to...'find her heart' as she says it." Tina explained as the movie went along. "Mom is not going to be here... but of course, Dad will... ughh." She let out a mock blech after finishing up with her own family story. "So what about your Mom and Dad? Are they still together after all these years?" She asked, loving the closeness that she was sharing with Kelly at the moment.

Feeling how her question had soured Tina's mood, she felt a pang of regret, but then, she was also glad, because now she knew what was going to be coming. It surprised her that Tina's mother of all people, Mrs. Country club would turn out to be gay. She'd half expected the woman to go on a Westboro rampage when she found out Tina was into women. But well, good for her, Kelly gathered, finally living her own truth, and maybe that would allow Kelly to live her own life as well, free from all the nonsense their family had always pushed on them about good Christian morals. And as for her uncle, well she was sure he'd find his way into the booze and perhaps into one of the women at the resort. She knew her own dad had found his way into some woman's hotel room on occasion, she wondered how mom dealt with that. She had to know, right? Or at the very least expect.

She put the cup, which was empty anyway, on the side table, and then took Tina's face in her hands. Lifting it slightly up gently, and bringing her own face down, nearly touching, as she spoke softly. "I'm sorry sweetheart. i can't imagine..." And then, she didn't know if it was the sympathy, the alcohol or something else entirely, likely it was a combination of the three, but she brought her lips to Tina's and gave her a small kiss. Nothing passionate or heavy, just a peck on the lips, well maybe slightly more, she had to admit, and then she slid downwards a little, lying on the bed as she gently pressed Tina's head against her bosom, aiming to comfort her as they'd done when they were children.

With her right arm supporting Tina, and the hand softly caressing her cousin's short hair, her other arm moved over her own body, pulling Tina in for an embrace. She didn't know why exactly, but she felt Tina's closeness, her warm body against her, so much more clearly than ever, her own body reacting to their proximity in an odd but far from unpleasant matter. She placed another kiss on Tina's head, and held the girl pressed against herself, trying to comfort her, but she had to admit, that might not be the only reason, though why exactly this felt so nice was a mystery to her.

Seeing Kelly's surprise after her own revelation, Tina was not sure what her cousin was thinking about. Sure, her own family drama wasn't something that she liked to talk about but it was out there now. Yeah, Dad was free now to swoon over his latest prospect at the resort but truthfully, she wanted nothing to do with her father anymore. She didn't speak to him for about three years at least as her and her father seemed to drift apart. With her mother, they kept in contact... especially once she found out about her late blooming sexuality. The last time she talked to her Mom was a week ago but to Tina, she figured that her Mom was very happy, especially when she found a woman that seemed to bring a spark into her that she never saw from her mother.

What was a surprise to her was when Kelly took her face into her hands, lifted it up and kissed her on the lips. Maybe it was actually sympathy or maybe it could be something more? All Tina could do was respond to the kiss. She was hoping for so much more but it was just a graze on her lips. Questions seemed to be answered when she felt Kelly's hand grazing her own short hair and then feeling herself being pulled on top of Kelly's body in a warm embrace.

With that embrace, the movie seemed to be an afterthought to her. Looking up at Kelly's face, she felt the closeness that she desired so much. Even after the kiss to the top of her head, Tina was starting to want more and more... but she wanted Kelly to want it too. She knew that the worst thing to do was to push a woman into a sexual bliss. Unless they knew that they were both gay, Tina would have went further... but right now, she wanted Kelly to explore herself. "You feel... soo wonderful. Thank you... for being you." She admitted before making a confession of her own.

"Please don't freak out when you hear this... but truthfully, I had a crush on you ever since we were in 5th grade. My first fantasy was for you to hold me like this but my future fantasies as I grew older was for something more than this. I really want to make sure that you are ready for this. Do you want this? Are you ready for something more? You don't have to answer now... but I want my favorite cousin to be happy... and if she finds her heart with me, I will be overjoyed... if not, than I will understand and stop this here and now." Tina admitted, wanting to make sure that Kelly's feelings were aligned with her own. If they did than Tina would be overjoyed but if not, She can chalk it up as just a fantasy and nothing more than that.

Kelly was somewhat by now, two full solo cups of rum was way more than she usually drank, but she'd been having so much fun with Tina, despite the awkward moment when her cousin had revealed the situation with her parents. The warm feeling of Tina's body as the girl lay almost on top of her, feeling her body underneath her hands, as she felt Tina's hands move across her own body, all of it had an almost otherworldly feeling to it. She placed a few more kisses on her cousin's head, and her temple. At first it was just about comforting the other woman, but slowly it began to fel like something more. Kelly just had no idea what more meant. She just knew that she loved Tina more than she'd ever loved anyone, and she did wonder what it would be like if she were gay too, and not related. Would they grow close? Would they like each other? But those were things she needn't worry about. Tina was her cousin after all.

She looked down at Tina, there was something in the girl's eyes, almost as if she was holding something back, wanted to say something but wouldn't. She was about to outright ask what was wrong, why Tina was so nervous, when suddenly the woman started. When Kelly heard the words her mind panicked. This couldn't be real. Had she fallen asleep and was she having a weird dream? But no, she knew that this was the real world, and her cousin had just admitted having feelings for her. Sexual feelings. And the weirdest part of that was that it wasn't weird at all. She hadn't felt any repulsion, hadn't recoiled from Tina, in fact she noticed that she was still stroking her cousin's hair, and that her other hand was still caressing her lower back, in what she guessed Tina might have seen as a sexual or romantic gesture. But it wasn't, was it? Was it?

"Tina, I love you, but you know I'm not..." The words came out weaker, more hesitant and doubtful than she'd expected. "Besides sweetheart, you're my cousin, I mean even if I was..." Was she? She wasn't, right? "Even if i felt the same way you do." She looked at Tina pleadingly, wanting the other woman to tell her what to do as her mind was overwhelmed by unfamiliar and conflicted feeling. "We can't do this right? Can we?" Not until she'd spoken the words did she realize that her position had shifted from a refutation to seeking affirmation. Like she needed to be told she couldn't, or she might just say yes. Why did part of her want to say yes? A big part of her even. She looked at Tina, and her tone shifted, from seeking affirmation that it was a bad thing to asking permission to let herself say yes. "Can we do this?"

Tina was feeling like she was almost in heaven at this point in time. Wrapping her arms around her own cousin while Kelly seemed to ask permission to do this. A part of her wanted to just go in the moment but another part of her wanted to make sure that this would be the right thing to do. Stroking Kelly's long locks of hair into her own hand, she let out a wide smile of confidence. She wanted to make Kelly feel as comfortable as she could as she spoke up her own feelings and what she really wanted... but also looking out for Kelly as well.

"We can... if you really want to." She paused for just a bit while looking up at her cousin's beautiful eyes before letting out her feelings yet again. "Gods, I really want this... but I will never force you to do this. I will do this only if you want. I can take my time for you to decide if you want to but what I really want is... for you to be ready for this whenever you decide." She placed a kiss onto her cousin's forehead before continuing on with her admission.

"I want you to decide for yourself if you want this as much as I do. In the meantime, just cuddling with you will really make me happy right now." She wrapped her arms a little tighter around Kelly's back as if she wanted to feel all of her cousin's body against her. "I waited for you for so long so if you aren't ready, I can always wait a little longer and hope for the best. If we can't go further, than I can only hope that you can let me cuddle you like this in our special moments together. You don't have to decide right now... but I will be very happy with your decision... either way that you want to take it." Tina confessed, knowing that Kelly was going to dictate how things between them were going to move forward at this very special moment of confessions and time together.

Of course, Tina really wanted more from Kelly but at the same time, she was not about to damage the relationship that she had with her favorite cousin. Right now, everything was in Kelly's court. What her cousin decides would mean the difference in how Tina would proceed in their relationship. She hoped for the best but... expected the worst at the moment. All she could do now was let her cousin decide... one way or the other... or maybe something in between.
